Sure she functions really well in the midrange still but doesn't this kinda remove a lot of viable angles she can actually support her team from without getting significantly less value? Her range was cut almost in half so I'm worried about having to position so much closer to her team since her mobility is all cooldown based. I feel like lucio can get away with staying closer to the team since his wallride is a passive he can use at any time, and he can use boop to defend himself on a very short cooldown. I guess it'll force Juno players to actually rotate her ring and glide boost properly more.
Juno is the best support they’ve added to the game since Ana. She is aim dependant, single target, no cc, no immos, predictable movement, no crazy burst healing, but yet strong. She is punishable when she makes mistakes and has the option to punish the enemy mistakes but is very easily shut down if she pushes too far, she is just a healthy addition for the game and im so impressed by the hero design team as i genuinely thought they didnt have it in them.
Juno's also good for low risk overall practice at aiming, playing off angles only healing team mates she's a lot lower stress and helps develop skills you can take to Soldier, Cass, etc.
@ it is so much better having her as the best support in the game than it is essentially having any other support in that spot. She doesnt feel horrible to play against.
She is absolutely NOT the best healer since Ana, you're a clown for even suggesting that. Moira is a much better and more versatile healer, and so are Lucio and Mercy. Although, Lucio and Mercy have been out since the beginning of the game, so I don't know whether or not they would even count. Baptiste can also very good if you know how to use him; and very similar to Juno. Illari can also be very good with good pylon placement. I am adamant and firm that these "aim dependent healers" are not very good; and I always thought that Ana was a garbage healer. I MOSTLY feel the same way about Juno; except she's way cuter and way more fun to play as; and, definitely better than Ana because of her maneuverability and mobility.

I love her autonomy with the constant movement, and not nearly as much pressure to perform as other supports when it comes important moments of burst value. Unless the sombra decides to target you permanently the entire match. Then you either hug the team like glue or swap to moira or something lol. I had the most annoying sombra player go specifically for my head an entire match and I was so fed up with it

Another thing abiut the torpedoes a lot of people don't think about, it's kind of a recon tool as well. You don't see an enemies health until you damage them. You make a flank and tag the whole team, you now know who's low and who's vulnerable and you can communicate that to your team.
Re: How to use speed ring (not trying to say i know more than senpai spilo, but from someone stuck in masters) Spilo says just throw it out because it's hard to coordinate in solo queue, but there's scenarios where you should save it to match enemy cooldowns. For example your team is Winston/Tracer/Cass/Juno/Brig vs. Ram. I'd try to save ring to match ram's transform. The enemy juno has the choice between using ring on backline vs monkey or on frontline. You don't really have that choice imo, it's very clearly reactive for whoever's closest to Ram. Edit: And in above average+ rank, people subconsciously position knowing speed will help them kite, but most players aren't good enough to pay attention to all the cooldowns. Brief voice comm can help a lot. Something like "chill out (...), no speed" when you notice someone playing with fire with ring on cooldown. Brig+juno is even stronger when both are on the same page.

Started maining Juno after she came out. Mained Lucio before that. I watch a lot of videos, and this is the single best one. Massive difference in my play ability on her. Thank you!
I didn't really like playing Juno at first because I was SO used to such burst heavy impact that I felt like I wasn't really having an impact. The more I play her, the more I like playing her. I'm now easily on track to be a Juno main, so I'm very excited to watch this and learn!
Thanks so much for this video! I've been a Moira main for a long time but over the last year been learning Bap, Ana and Kiriko to have more flexibility as a support. Juno dropped and in her own words "I have no idea what I'm doing" haha. This video really helps me understand better how and when to use my abilities and how I should position myself, and I've been getting a lot more value playing her since using your tips.
Yall disappoint me saying Juno isn't a combat support, it's so easy to play around dps and tanks heads and keep the whole team alive, plus her burst dmg in the gun is AMAZING to finish low enemies, same with a kiko potshot, yall gotta be brave and dodge

Torpedo is great as an opener to force the enemy supports to focus on healing while your team is moving in. It's also good when used as a side arm when you run out of ammo in a duel.

With the next patch her mid range is getting gutted, so how you maintain ur distance while still being able to provide support ? her damage is getting affected too you can't poke anything with that range ._.
Something that was really messing with me was understanding her positioning.. that advice about not pushing any engagements on corners or 1v1s is a godsend.
I said a while ago that they should remove kiri suzu invulnerability and make it a heal and speed buff and a shorter cooldown. Then they added Juno and now I’m pretty sure they’re spying on me.
I'm a bronze 1 torbjorn and I have I think a pretty solid understanding when it comes to playing the character. People sometimes tell me I hide behind my turret.

15:40 I think this is wrong, I think it’s more of like a splash effect around Juno. When she uses it the heroes that are close and around her get the speed boost that she’s always get at the start of the ability and then they can use the ring for more speed. (I think)
Idk if its already been deeply tested but, IMO the popping of speed ring gives it in a cone in front of you. I feel like ive boosted people who are off on my leftish/rightish.
Hi, I'm not very "good" at overwatch but how do you feel the nerfs affected Juno? I feel like it's much harder to play at midrange now, am I just being placebo'd or did it actually hurt her a lot? The devs even commented they wanted her to be a more close up character, and I dont feel like I can get the same performance out of her anymore either.
While I do agree that she gets value over a long period of time, I would say that charging her ult as fast as possible is how you really maximize your pressure as Juno. In your support seminar, you talk about how you want to put as much pressure out while taking as little risk as possible. Some characters like bap or Ana are able to put pressure out by hitting some shots or a cd but Juno doesn’t have that same type of pressure. Where she does excel is in the strength of her ultimate. I’ve been playing her as safe as possible (almost like a mercy) to heal bot and maybe poke if there is pretty much ZERO risk. I’ve found that playing her this way can maximize your pressure as you can build your ult so quickly and roll team fights. That’s my take at least 👍
The only case where I like too use the torpedo for a 1vs1 is when the other party hasnt seen me yet, so I can prepare save damage without damaging them and anouncing my presence

I just got a Juno potg where I finished off 4 high hp people with one torpedo burst. I wasn't dmg boosted or anything, but some games it won't even finish one squishy. it's definitely an inconsistent ability.

U can also climb corners. Any ledge will make her go up. So going back and forth on a corner like Lucio raises u like 4-5 meters

played her today, the nerf hits her hard. her ult needed nerfed, not her healing/damage.

for rollout, is it better to speed the door at 4 seconds so everyone leaves with speed. or is it better to double speed as spawn opens?
