  • KENTUCKY BUCK DOWN! 2019 Deer Season- Episode 8. CRAZY recovery. Self-filmed Bowhunting adventure
The video of my 2019 kentucky buck.
1000 miles from nowhere, the roar of my four wheeler cut through the silence. Climbing rocks and dodging ruts, I began the nearly hour long trek back to the promising looking ridge saddle I had found a few weeks prior.
Thieves and bears had made my trail camera scouting effort difficult, but nevertheless, I was confident. Several scrapes had emerged since my first trip, and the trees bore the scars of generations of bucks traveling this saddle as they cruised the mountains in search of receptive does. I figured that in a geographically based spot like this, old rubs were almost as telling as fresh ones.
It was a slow morning, but it wasn’t as cold as it would be in the coming days. “When those temperatures drop, I should have a good chance of making something happen,” I told my camera. All of a sudden, I looked to my left and caught a glimpse of movement. The 9 point had appeared out of nowhere and was at 30 yards and covering ground fast. I quickly came to full draw. SHWACK-THUMP! The arrow reached its mark.
Little did I know that releasing an arrow would just be the start of this adventure.

Bro you gonna have to find you a hunting partner for real. You might need 2 or 3 where you hunting. I didn't realize hunting was so dangerous. I take it you must have lost your knife and couldn't field dress it. I got to give you credit though. You got it done and that's what matters.

Holy smokes- I haven’t laughed that hard in a while! That looks all too familiar. My kind of luck! Found this channel and have been watching these videos this season and have really enjoyed them. I appreciate the fact that through any and everything that has happened, you’ve kept a positive attitude and haven’t let it get you down. We also appreciate the fact that when a lot of guys would be cussing up a storm, you choose not to. Carry on and good luck over the next couple weeks!

Tanner, look up Simmons broadheads. Not saying anything bad about the heads you use one bit they do the job. I’ve used Simmons for over 30 years. 100% made in the USA by a Christian company. They make a head called the “treeshark” which is my favorite. I’ve taken 100+ deer with it and even marginal hits I’ve watched them fall. God bless and good luck young man. Come to Indiana and let’s go hunting.

Hard because I plan trips on a very spur of the moment basis usually based on weather and no one has that flexibility. And if I kill in kentucky on Tuesday I want to be in Ohio on Wednesday not sitting around watching a campfire for 3 or 4 days waiting on someone else to kill

I totally understand but at the same time I know you also want to hunt next year and many more years to come. I really enjoy your hunting videos and you remind me so much of my cousin that I use to hunt with that passed away in 1983. When your 4 wheeler almost flipped back on you and when it turned over it just made me think how dangerous it is the way you hunt out of state by yourself. Plz keep the videos coming but find a partner and especially be careful!

Put the meat in pillow cases, remove the skull (and cape if mounting) and leave the rest for the Yotes... you get hurt back there and it will be days before your found. Love your videos.

Wow that was the best deer hunting video i have ever seen. A hard working young man successful hunt but thats when the real work begins. I hunt southern ohio in those hills and have had many debacles getting deer out over the years. But you learn from it. Long ropes and pulleys for mechanical advantage and a real 4x4 quad are must in these hills. Good job.

Thanks man. I honestly didn’t even understand why 4 wheel drive four wheelers existed until I got to east kentucky/southern Ohio. We don’t have hills like that down here😂

I truly appreciate the fact that you take the time working hard to recover your animal especially on your hands and looking for blood p to me that is a true sportsman and I laughed so hard that I started choking that is truly awesome
