    3:40 just in case it is useful information for you: I have a 2007 Hilux cab chassis manual transmission with steel tray and steel bull bar (and a tow bar!) and have averaged 8.0 lph over the last 60,000 km.

    you should try some parabolic springs with a comfort ride nil extra loading rate 50mm lift and a good big bore set of shocks , you need good quality shocks because parabolics act like coil's until you load them up. standard Hilux rear spring packages are designed for a 1000kg load before you put a tray on, so they are over stiff when running around empty. just something to think about. parabolic springs will still carry weight when needed just ride a lot better when empty or just a few things in the back. if you need to later you can add some airbags if needed.

      Not this time rare that a long SCV is going to fix anything but I thought I’d try it has been removed

    Hi, if the car stall while accelerating and revving over 3k what could be the main cause? The cel light lit but disappeared after engine restart. Car still runs okay if runs under 3k rpm. Any thoughts? Thanks 😊

    Thanks guys, about to do this exact job, currently vehicle runs for around 2 seconds then stops and will not fire up till next day, then same again. Reckon it's an scv?

    I think my scv is finally giving up the ghost, my motor has an izusu engine with a denso fuel system and when its iding the engine will hick up every so often though its happen more frequently now and the rail pressure tripples in pressure at idle and engine starts knocking, if i dip the throttle the rail pressure goes back to normal and engine sounds normal, ive had the truck since new and has 300k miles on it now scv is still original and its a long one

    Note fitting an wrong scv to a vehicle that isn't the right part will not start, the ecu will just reject it. So the person who said the engine blew up because of the incorrect scv fitted is just full of it.
    Unless your car is stalling or has rough idle fitting an new scv will not lessen the acoustic rattle. It's just a waste of time and money.
    About 80% of diesel rattle is caused by poor quality/low sulfar fuels, adding additives increases lubricity which in turn can reduce diesel/injector rattle.
    NEVER FILL UP YOUR DIESEL WITHOUT ADDING FUEL ADDITIVES! 1 bad batch of fuel can Spell doom for your injectors, pump and ultimately the engine.
