    I'm 67 years old, and have recently started a morning routine, of waking up, putting the coffee on, and then warming up with some gentle stretches, 25 Hindu Squats, 10 Hindu Pushups, 50 Steel Mace Sheild Casts or Gamma Casts. My goal is to get to four rounds, before coffee, breakfast and meditation. I already feel the benefits.

    Great to see videos from Matt. His book Combat conditioning is in my opinion a classic. This man knows what he is talking about.

    My push-up board arrived from Persian Yoga just the other day. It’s well worth the money and the build quality eclipses my previous one.
    Great info and a great tip. A deck of cards and a pot of coffee beckons!

    I would say that in India every I mean every wrestler or a simple countryside man might have done the dands but no one does it in a single flow because I even feel that the jerking motion of the actual Dand is more beneficial

    I very curious what is the benefit of using a pushup board vs just using the floor to do pushups and burpees etc.? It seems getting use to the floor is beneficial necaue you can akways do your exercise anywhere. You akways have a floor.
    Is there an added benefit to usjng the board?

    Do you reverse the breathing, matt? I have always inhaled in the upward facing dog as I open the chest and exhaled on the downward facing dog.
    But I guess you should try both ways
    The inhalation when opening the chest is from yoga

    Hey Matt...What are the benefits of doing these pushups with a "board" as opposed to doing them with flat palms on the ground?

    • @persianyoga
      @persianyoga 5 років тому +11

      The Shena enforces correct joint alignment (wrist and shoulders) and a greater ROM during pushups as well as providing a stable symmetrical platform to do dynamic pushups from as well as making it possible to do pushups on practically any surface.
