I warm up 145 10 reps 1 set each leg, 10 reps, 225 10 reps 1 set each leg, 315 10 reps 1 set each leg. Head up , chest out, NEVER, put that weight out in front on your patella. Im a shooter myself. The power lunge helps you run right through people. In college when I was playing ball I would put on 4 plates 10 reps each leg and freak people out at 217 lbs. Joey Galloway taught me... Ohio Buckeye and NFL. Pound for Pound his legs were holy shit strong.

Yes because you want pressure on your lower back especially in a moving exercise. Not, snappage excercises are not cool. If you want to target back then do specific exercises that target the back and has less chance of getting some herniated disks because your not gyrating everywhere and throwing weight around. These guys can also get a hernia.
Back target excercises like decline situps and going slow in the down motion. Using a 45 plate to go down and back up. Roman chairs slow up this time then weighted with a 45 plate. These excercise are greater for wrestling because they go against the normal way of how the body gets up and down. It increases core strength, an d helps them with core angles so if an oppenant is on them they can actually move underneath fast enough. Or stop them from getting them flat chested to the mat if on back.

but doesnt leaning forward place a greater load on the front knee? I dont train my fighters with lunges like these; we focus on explosive weighted split jumps
