- Cambridge is home to the prestigious University of Cambridge, founded in 1209. The city center has many buildings of university colleges which we will visit on this tour.
We start our Cambridge walk at the "The Bridge of Sighs" which is a venetian bridge replica. From there we see the campus of St John's College and continue to explore the city.
Filmed in October 2019
Camera: Osmo Pocket in 4K60
Mic: Zoom H1

Wonderful architecture and epicentre of education. Thank you so much for this great walk ❤🇬🇧❤
Love this one! I toured the grounds of Cambridge as a kid with my parents. It is such a beautiful place and obviously the history there is incredible. Thank you so much for sharing this with us all and I can't wait for the next video!

I think CAMBRIDGE is a great atmosphere for the city to study.
So beautiful 😍💖
Thanks for sharing 👍🏻
Great video !!! Thanks for sharing...👍
This is one of my favourite places in England I want to visit someday. Of course, there are some places in England I want to visit too, not only Cambridgeshire. And the university there, I love that university. I want to study there. It's Cambridge university. I love to study English there. I'm Filipino. I'm from Manila, Philippines.
Fantastic! It’s my hometown so I’m very pleasantly surprised to see Cambridge on your channel. You made an excellent recording here, as always, and even if I know it well it still is an enjoyable video and journey with you 😊👍
Congratulations for your gorgeous hometown! Best wishes from Christian from Würzburg in Bavaria
@@hans-christianhofmann1679 Thank you so much!! I have also heard Wurzburg is very beautiful and I have visited Germany many times, and love the country
@@omarhamid3638 thank you very much for your kind words! Yes, Würzburg is a very beautiful city and would be even very more beautiful, if there had not been this terrible air strike on March 16 1945...but nevertheless Würzburg is always worth visting. Best wishes from Franconia and stay healthy! Christian
@@hans-christianhofmann1679 No problem. It was really a delight to read your kind comment.
The War was a great tragedy and the loss of many priceless German cities and towns. In particular medieval centres. I heard the same about Frankfurt and Dresden as well. War is always a sad event no matter what the circumstances.
Thank you once again for your comment and a pleasure to read your reply
Best wishes and health to you as well 👍
@@omarhamid3638 many thanks for your immediate answer, your good wishes and your interest in Germany and its history.
I have to apologize to you for my modest knowledge of the English grammar and vocabulary.. I have to improve my linguistic memories urgently.
Yes, you are right, war is inhuman and awful. And the German bombing on the cities of Coventry and London-a horrible crime with so many innocent victims too.
We all-no matter where-are responsible that such a madness will never take place again.
Have a nice Sunday evening and my very best wishes to you in these difficult times! Christian 🇩🇪❤🏴
This clock is so cool 22:15
En las ciudades universitarias inglesas, el hipster, un estilo acorde.
Thanks for this beautiful video. Keep it up and greetings from Peru. 🇵🇪❤️
looks like a very historic university! very cool!
downloading this too for sure. thanks for giving me an unlisted video. i have a whole folder full of your videos in my computer :D I even game some to my cousins who don't have internet at home to watch.
It's beautiful 💖
Thank you for releasing these as CC!
My home city! ❤❤
Your videos are awesome. One request please, while walking on street, show the shops entrance or Shop displays. And move camera slightly right and left to.
Thank you! I'll see to show more of the shops next time. This one video here is still from 2019. I'm also working on an additional 4 camera setup for filming all direction so I can switch angles. This will be on a 2nd channel though where I plan to record first videos in the coming weeks and months. It's a bit tricky with battery and mounts that I have to solve somehow. Announcement will be here when it's working as on POPtravel the videos will remain like this here without cuts
@@poptravelorg I am excited for your new channel. Wish you best of luck.
It has quite an amazing vibe!
Gothic style everywhere 😍
I live 50 miles from Cambridge, but you tour means I can see it from my armchair . Thanks !
Is the old Oxford campus still standing? Loved this video!!! ❤️
👍👋
Hi, I like watching your video very much. I want to know how you shoot the picture so smoothly when you walk. What kind of equipment do you use? I also want to take some videos to share with my family when I travel, but the ones I take while walking are very shaky.
Thank you. For this video I'm using a DJI Osmo Pocket which is a small gimbal stabilized camera. Audio comes from a Zoom H1 mic as written in the descriptions. I'd suggest to check out gimbals for stabilizing phone video or even look for deals on the original Osmo Pocket. There is a 2nd version (DJI Pocket 2) with a wider field of view yet that one rarely gets discounts at the moment. Thanks for watching
Why don't you use a gimbal for your phone? I honestly get seasick, but I want to watch. You pan great, but the bouncing with your walk makes my stomach woozy. LOL (If you are using a gimbal, you might need a better one.)
The Osmo Pocket indeed isn't giving as smooth movements as a bigger gimbal. I travel light though and the Pocket 2 later had a better gimbal but worse picture quality. The walking movement can only be minimized with Z-axis stabilization which created other (audio) problems. There are pro solutions like the Ronin 4D but the channel does not generate that kind of revenue that I could afford a $7K camera for videowalks. So maybe try half or double speed if it improves the feeling
I thought it's just a uni city
Please slow down when you're walking. You are walking like you are in a race to get to work in the morning rather than a sightseeing tour. Beautiful sights though
Newer videos from 2021 onwards are a bit slower as I carry more gear. It's interesting that there are different tastes. I find most of the other walking channels too slow actually and I also had positive comments that my videos aren't that slow. Some viewers exercise while watching so they fit rather well. Here in Cambridge it was getting too dark already and I had to finish up quickly as the Pocket 1 camera isn't made for lowlight. Thanks for watching!
Terrible. Show more of the colleges and much less of the shopping mall.
Colleges need tours and that day it was too late for that. The walk here starts in a college BTW
