On shortwave radio, there is a program called “Furosato no Kaze” and it was created by a coalition of Japanese families who have also had their children abducted by North Korea. On the program, you can hear the parents read letters in Japanese and Korean (Korean because their children may have forgotten a lot of their Japanese) and play the favorite songs of the victims. I once heard a dad start choking up while reading one of the letters, saying, “I can’t go on like this anymore.” The radio program tries to broadcast it into North Korea in hopes that the victims will tune in and recognize their parents voices or favorite songs playing.

Good job with the visuals on this one! They not only look good, but are very informative. Hope you guys continue to grow :)
He abducted so many people and just apologizing? how can a mere apology fixed what has been taken off of their lives. You can’t bring back those things. Its so sickening how they even manage to think of this like don’t they have any remorse or conscience? I do hope megumi’s family and the rest of the abducted people got the closure they need. I’ll leave it up to fate whatever punishment those involved in doing this disgusting act only to benefit themselves.
This is so heartbreaking. I hope Megumi and her family find peace one day.
It infurates me how much korea has gotten away with and the fact Megumi's parents have gotten so much false hope even till today is so sad.
i’ve never heard of this case, so intriguing and upsetting
Wow, at the beginning of the story I wasnt expecting this much ! Never heard about these abductions and it was very interesting, thank you for your great documentation work.
This channel is the most underrated channel ever. This is the only channel I have post notifications on. Incredible!!
I absolutely love your channels videos and hope it never dies. Info documentaries with pictures and maps for detail and voice to describe the scenario is perfect. Please keep uploading!!!
Need to bring this to attention, could you cover Ruchika Girhotra's case and how the system not just failed her but actively worked against her and everyone close to her. The fact is that I had no idea of the case until recently is astounding and haven't seen any international coverage of her case. I really appreciate your videos, and find your coverage to be both unbiased and respectful. It would be great if you take a look at this case, for all the vitriol the daughters of India and the world have faced.
Much love, from India ❤
Kids that got kidnapped all over the world could be in North Korea. The ones who vanished without a trace. This is a very sad story. Her parents really love her
14:08 i rarely get emotional at true crime videos but this made me cry, all that time that was robbed from them.
I never teared up at these true crime videos until I saw this video. Those poor parents don’t deserve any of this.
this channel is underrated
Gosh that was sad, but this was incredibly well made.
Really enjoying this channel. Thank you for the great content.
your videos are AMAZING! they remind me a lot of LEMINO, they're so interesting and well produced, please please keep up this incredible work
I usually don’t subscribe any channels anymore but this one is worth the world
This channel is so underrated
i am not into true crime, but when i watch these videos i feel like i am watching lecture about hard topics and not like i am watching youtube
i think megumi is either alive or that she was killed and they dont wanna admit it
Exactly. North Korea will never straight-up admit that they commit attrocities. Same with the American dude that came back from north korea brain dead. He was clearly severely doped and NK told everyone it was just because he fell ill or something. And they know nobody can do anything about it because of the lack of information and the fact that nobody will go to North Korea to find evidence themselves.
I think the same!! But weird that one guy said she seemed happy and was having fun in her 20s ?
one of the reasons I like yours videos so much are the maps and schemes, please never change this
my heart goes out to the yokota family. i cannot imagine the years of pain, suffering, and loss they experienced only to never have a conclusive answer as to what happened to megumi
Why is this channel so underrated love your videos though
having to not know what happened to your child is worse than death
wake up babe unpredictable just uploaded
Amazing video as always. One of the best true crime channels. 👌👌
Knowing Megumi's father passed away without even seeing his daughter again for one last time is so depressing.
I feel like the late seventies were the most horrorful years in the last century in terms of kidnapping, serial killers and mysterious cases ...
These videos are so well put together
Note: Because of a small copyright issue, I had to cut a short clip out of the video. That's why there's an abrupt cut near the end. Thanks for watching!
Great videos, nice work. Thank You!
really not an appropriate video to say this on but her voice is always so soothing
More please you guys are my favorite the content quality is insanely similar to LEMMiNO but with different atmosphere dont stop uploading plssss❤
Still started with the story but glad you're back again xD been waiting for another like this
Please make more videos. We love your stuff.
this is heartbreaking, great work by the team behind this channel
Thank you this was sooo sad but so well presented and so interesting I've never heard this sad story before, and it was truly heartbreaking.
Also. The ones who were alive who got to see their families again were probably threatened behind closed doors, that their families would be killed if they did not act that way. I’m so so so glad megumi had a daughter!! What a beautiful story…
Making it into an anime is insane
Fascinating. Sad and fascinating. Thank you.
The video of her is heartbreaking “I’m grey now but we will still have fun when you get back”
Is it just me or the narrator's voice is so nice and satisfying.
