    On shortwave radio, there is a program called “Furosato no Kaze” and it was created by a coalition of Japanese families who have also had their children abducted by North Korea. On the program, you can hear the parents read letters in Japanese and Korean (Korean because their children may have forgotten a lot of their Japanese) and play the favorite songs of the victims. I once heard a dad start choking up while reading one of the letters, saying, “I can’t go on like this anymore.” The radio program tries to broadcast it into North Korea in hopes that the victims will tune in and recognize their parents voices or favorite songs playing.

    God this is so heartbreaking to listen to I can’t imagine what megumi’s family has gone through for years. They took her and it was a simple wrong place at the wrong time situation. Like she was just walking home and that was that. It’s so crushing to imagine what life she must have lived or lives right now, wanting to go home but not being able to. I hope that if there’s an afterlife or maybe reincarnation, megumi and her family are able to meet once again . I hope everyone who was taken from their family’s is able to see them once again some day

    You did leave a legacy megumi, and Mrs yakoto, your love for your daughter and devotion and loyalty to finding her helped that immensely.
    Rest in peace Megumi!! You will never be forgotten and always in my heart now that I have come across this story. ❤ I hope you and your sweet family will be reunited in heaven for eternity.

    To think that these people's lives were just destroyed all out of nowhere, subjected to a fate arguably worse than death being brainwashed and imprisoned in a nation that doesn't see them as people... and worse of all, their families and friends got little to no justice for it. The pain must be just absolutely unimaginable.

    He abducted so many people and just apologizing? how can a mere apology fixed what has been taken off of their lives. You can’t bring back those things. Its so sickening how they even manage to think of this like don’t they have any remorse or conscience? I do hope megumi’s family and the rest of the abducted people got the closure they need. I’ll leave it up to fate whatever punishment those involved in doing this disgusting act only to benefit themselves.

    Need to bring this to attention, could you cover Ruchika Girhotra's case and how the system not just failed her but actively worked against her and everyone close to her. The fact is that I had no idea of the case until recently is astounding and haven't seen any international coverage of her case. I really appreciate your videos, and find your coverage to be both unbiased and respectful. It would be great if you take a look at this case, for all the vitriol the daughters of India and the world have faced.

    • @katierina31
      @katierina31 Рік тому +1

      Exactly. North Korea will never straight-up admit that they commit attrocities. Same with the American dude that came back from north korea brain dead. He was clearly severely doped and NK told everyone it was just because he fell ill or something. And they know nobody can do anything about it because of the lack of information and the fact that nobody will go to North Korea to find evidence themselves.
