I dig the Emperor's armour; gold, shiny, demon-proof, plus it comes with both a mad claw and flaming death sword.
Big E also has a golden bolter, because of course he did.
It even has a cup holder
he also had lion fur and a big red regal cloak and his armor has alot of royal eagles skulls and this the funniest and most ironic holy symbols on it
@@SimonNissen94 despite big e being bright at everything let’s just say he wasn’t being bright on not trying to be a god

Most Astartes use as old as mark IV "Maximus" and as new as mark VIII "Errant" power armor. But, the most common are mark VI "Corvus" and mark VII "Aquila" power armor. The mark VIII is more of a tradeoff from mark VII instead of a downgrade. The Neck guard means improved defenses at the cost of added weight. Think the difference between the mark II "Crusade" and the mark III "Iron". I personally used the main body of the Mark VIII with the helmet of the Mark IV.
Nah, it means you won't have the angle to paint the lower edges of the helmet if you assemble before painting due to the neck guard getting in the way and if you paint first, you'll have paint/primer adhesion rather than plastic on plastic. Also screws with most assembled shading techniques.
@@CtrlAltRetreat I'm talking about it in-character.
Wasn't it invented to protect against Genestealer/'Nids claw attacks against the throat? That's something I vaguely remember from 2nd or 3rd Ed.
@@thirdenvoqation7735 it's to protect the neck (the biggest weak point from mark II to mark VII) from attacks, thus, increasing defense at the cost of added weight.

@@bleeem kinda true, apart from Italy, anyone born between 1980 and 2000 has that cartoon as a basic memory, I think it's for the dubbing, although in Italy the average level is very high, that show in particular was on another scale, the voices were fantastic and the dialogues too, holy shit, there's an episode in which the protagonist quotes Dante Alighieri, fantastic... ok, the adaptation was a bit shit, but for everything else, magnificent.

I must know your thoughts. If all 18 primarchs had been raised together and learned to work with each other, how many custodes would it take to kill all 18? No legions or help just gold boys vs primarchs.
Wow this's a year-old, but anw... I think, since each Primarch supposed to be an aspect of Big E, if all of them learn to harmonized themselves and function as one unified body, it would be a 2nd Emperor in the form of 18(+2) individuals. However, MajorKill mentioned that if the Primarchs didn't grew up on their respective planet, they wouldn't reached full potential. But then there're the likes of Morty, Angron, and Konrad that REALLY NEEDED familial love LOL But in this scenario, if all Primarchs grew up together perfectly, and utilized their power as one, that's literally Big E reincarnated. They'll be unstoppable.

The Iron Warrior, Beakie Armour, Thousand Sons Sorcerer Armour and Terminator Armours are the best ones along with the Custodes.
Khorne Berserker and Plague Marine Armours are honourable mentions.
This was fun; I sometimes forget each of the variants Space Marines went through, during the Heresy, and such. As a person who liked the Fantasy Flight Games 40K RPGs, I also liked the reference to Ignatius-pattern armor, and the death sentence that was letting the power cells deplete.
I don't know if it's quite accurate, but I think the Tech Priest Enginseers wear some variety of power armor, or at least they have a 3+ Sv. It's good for further reinforcing their bodies, and allows their servo-arms to up-tip a tank, and replace wrecked treads. I know they have stuff in their bodies for it, too, but I suspect their bones appreciate the added resilience of power armor. ;)
they have dragonscale power armor, which existed in FFG Dark Heresy 1st edition too ;)

You never fail to make me chuckle. Keep up the good work mate!
You forgot to give a hint about the missing number. The Supposed mark 9 that everyone asks about when they notice the gap between 8 and 10
It's probably because of the Japanese.
Like windows 9 and iphone 9 also being non existent.
I'm sure the mechanicus are mostly japanese heritage...
iirc from another of these type of things from a different youtube, mk9 was a weird variant of the 8 used only by space wolf rune priests, or something.

I love that little tidbit about terminator armor. One of the holiest and best pieces of equipment only able to be used by the best of the best... is really just an old piece of mining gear.
Tbf, it’s probably heavily heavily modified mining gear
First time I’ve ever subscribed to anything in my life. IM INTO IT

HEY, THEY DID THAT FINALLY AS OF LAST WEEK
Great video love the funny commentary and jokes.
Besides centurion, mk9 and some other marine armour classes, there is no mention of the Exo-Armour or Power Egg series. These are mainly used by imperial and chaos Squats and come in multiple varieties. The latest version of these Exo-armour sets look like mini terminators. The latest official model (2nd edition unreleased squats) has a banner and a huge gun linked the the right arm, left arm has a power hammer. This is probably my favourite model in all of 40k ;)
Yay! another Major kill video and therefore sales pitch!

9:54 boy do I have news for you about terminators.
that mark2 helmet is awesome
Thanks dude I was confused about why there were so many variants of power armor.
The helmet of the crusade armor, with its mouth grill gives me pleasant Mazinger vibes!
Being gloriously oiled and bathed in promethium to gracefully lubricate your thrusting locomotions in his golden palace is also good.
I remember a time when power armour had actually been developed post-heresy.
Was probably retconned to make everything super stagnant, but I actually liked it more when there was some actual technological upgrading over the times, where humanity tried to go on, instead of just stopping hard (The whole "Custodes not wearing their armour" meme, came from old old lore, where stolen/reverse engineered eldar shield tech and better info-senses meant old gold custodes plate was objectively just needless weight and bulk, and less effective then just having a materially toxic bracelet and some leather pants. It wasn't just a hard "We're worse then we were", but it's a case where materially they're way better, but the glories associated with their arms and armour are gone).
How I remembered it.
Corvus pattern plate was late heresy, but saw most uptake in M33 and on.
Aquilla pattern comes in at M36-37 or so. It's taken ages because the data-daemons of mars have absolutely trashed armour development and it's so obscenely hard to standardize stuff across the galactic spacetime. Still, it's tougher and sturdier then Corvus plate, and hotly debated if it's as good as Maximus (which used to be way harder to make, being so much more complex and specific), and a good all-rounder.
Errant pattern comes in at M41. It's more covering, but objectively better, though considering how religious the whole process is it's all hard to make so only captains, sergeants or specialists (deathwatch/grey knights) can get it and it's a badge of honour.
8:40 - 9:09 Was there no Mark 9 power armor?
Nope, there wasn’t. It’s one of life’s great mysteries.
So far with the information we got, No.
But there are theory going around that R&D for the Mark 9 is still in the development hell that is the Imperium stagnant state or the project got so bad that it end disaster or the Imperium just don't know how to count
Microsoft theory
You could Consider the Aegis Armor as Mark 9, to satisfy your inner neurotic, but iirc even this armor got developed way before mk 7

0:02 the custodes’ exact train of thought after the emperor died
Won't lie; I still like the grill mouth of the Mk. VII and VIII. It's the same with how I think older model guns look like actual guns instead of almost like toys when it comes to "modern" guns.
Funny story on how I found this channel: it all started when I was home alone (13) a cow had a stone inside her hoof so I was watching a tutorial on how to safely shave away the cows hoof and remove the stone and when I was finished I let the cow go and I saw this vid and was like “hey I like warhammer 40k let’s see what this guy has to offer” ever since Major kill has been my go to lore channel
