The Lion had a second weapon that was called Wolfsbane and was a giant Eviserator that he used after his sword was broken. Started playing HH30k and found that out. Also bro do more deep thoughts on the warhammer multiverse this shit is lit
2:10 The Lion is very much like Jaune Arc from RWBY. Both are from settings where advanced, high-tech weapons are the norm, yet both choose to fight with simple swords. And both have proven that a sword is still an effective weapon.
Do you think the Lion would've been stronger or weaker if he had a special sword? Was it good that he choose to rely purely on skill or would it make him more effective?
Lion didn't just use the Lion's sword (which wasn't just some 'random sword' btw). He also had a massive 2-handed chainsword called the Wolf Blade. He actually had this before the Lion Sword, used during the Order's war against the Knights Lupus. He brought it back into service after Rob broke the Lion Blade. He also had a sidearm called the Fusil Actinaeus (a souped up plasma weapon) In 'the Lion' novella from the Primarchs anthology, his ship comes under attack by demons and we learn that he keeps an armory in his quarters with a variety of weapons. In this instance, he quickly selected / wielded a pair of Calibanite swords with crystalized edges named Hope and Despair.
Maybe the Lion went full anime and intentionally used a lesser quality sword to nerf himself to keep his duels interesting. I mean imagine how shitty things would be for Chaos if Gulliman finds the Lion and gives him the Emperor's sword.
Gorefather was according to lore later located by a warband of world eaters and true to typical World Eater behavior there was a lot of fighting on who should have the weapon.
Rogal Dorn broke his sword after emperor as put in to golden throne. Broken sword was used to make sword of high Marshals, by Sigismund and is now held by Helbrecht of the Black templars.

The XI Primarch used a weapon called Gloryhammer (or Hammer of Glory). He slew so many goblins, err, orks with it, it became beyond legendary in its time. The II Primarch had no need for a weapon as he was a mighty Chaos sorcerer. So mighty indeed, that even Malcador was jelly. Later on, he was gifted the "Knife of Evil" by the ruinous powers. He used it to turn the chapter master of the XI Legion, the Space Knights of Crail, Sir Proletius to Chaos. In an epic mega battle the II Primarch used the Knife of Evil to stab the XI Primarch just before dying himself. At least that is what the Dundaxian Codex is telling me. @@almightykingpin6322 I also like to make stories when ever I create a character for my black Templars one of which is my username is when my character is used to be an imperial fist he just graduated from training and become a brother and basically he was too young so Dorn gave him the role as a Flag bearer when the siege of Terra began and up to the Iron cage he witness his brothers massacered from the distance so he joined Sigismund to repent for not doing anything just watching them died eventually he climbed to the ranks and become one of Knights of Sigismund and witness the High Marshalls Death in the hands of the Despoiler
Damn, watching this 1 year later is really nostalgic. You've grown so much as a creator and I'm excited to see how much you'll have improved in another year from now! Keep up the fantastic work mate!
When you pass one mind syndicate I'll be waiting for that video where you shake shampagne in your face
Really enjoyed this video. I think Hawkboy also had an 'Inferno Pistol' as his ranged weapon (essentially a pistol version of a melta gun).
i would have like to hear more about the "Spear of the Emporer" he almost killed Hourus with it.
It is also a key Chekovs gun in the Space Wolves trilogy.
The Lion had a second weapon that was called Wolfsbane and was a giant Eviserator that he used after his sword was broken. Started playing HH30k and found that out. Also bro do more deep thoughts on the warhammer multiverse this shit is lit
"Wait what did you call your sword Mr Johnson"
"Wolfsbane"
*Commence angry furry noises*
The Lion's sword was cool, but the Chainsword he switched two after RowYaBoat broke it was boss, it's better in the game too.
How Alpharius/Omegon got hold of a Necron weapon is a question for the historical scribes.
Looted them off a dead Necron I imagine. As I can't see the zombie bots giving an Astartes such a powerful weapon all willy nilly.
2:10 The Lion is very much like Jaune Arc from RWBY. Both are from settings where advanced, high-tech weapons are the norm, yet both choose to fight with simple swords. And both have proven that a sword is still an effective weapon.
“He was autistic, but not retarded”
*confused mechanicus electronic noises
I wish there was more lore on these weapons. Great video MajorKill.
Do you think the Lion would've been stronger or weaker if he had a special sword? Was it good that he choose to rely purely on skill or would it make him more effective?
I'm offended that Vulkan's weapons grade hugs were not mentioned.
It’ll be cool for these weapons to exist in real life
Aside from the fact no living person could ever even lift them?
Sure, it would be super cool!
No! Hell no! Imagine the lantern in the hands of... Me. Humanity would be lost :)

Maybe the Lion went full anime and intentionally used a lesser quality sword to nerf himself to keep his duels interesting. I mean imagine how shitty things would be for Chaos if Gulliman finds the Lion and gives him the Emperor's sword.
If he does then, well, chaos is f*cked.
@@Br3tz3l tbh if he had that with the shield, chaos would eat shit and then some
Gorefather was according to lore later located by a warband of world eaters and true to typical World Eater behavior there was a lot of fighting on who should have the weapon.
“He threw it so far it took the Space Wolves days to find it.”
Sounds like Russ alright
Playing fetch with his sons
Rogal Dorn broke his sword after emperor as put in to golden throne. Broken sword was used to make sword of high Marshals, by Sigismund and is now held by Helbrecht of the Black templars.
Lion’s sword should’ve been called “The Lion’s Tooth”
Lion's Fang
@@pohja4552 ok that’s so much better
Lions sword...is a common weapon? Guilliman didnt want Cypher to enter the throne room because he was afraid of it. Even Russ admitted that his weapon leaved deep cuts and it was eaven touching him xD
The answer is easy: *PLOT ARMOR*
It's extra thicc shield, not a weapon
@@indrickboreale7381 It is a weapon, o great bald one, with plot armor you can even kill things that you were not supposed to kill, usually an Avatar of Khaine or the Swarm Lord
One weapon I need for my boys of Krieg is the shovel launcher.
More Primarchs need to come back.
Except Sanguinious his death must remain. Unless he comes back tainted and corrupted by the warp.
@@BroNapartay disagree. He needs to come back and take his place as Emperor regent for the time between the emperors life support failing and the emperor being reincarnated.
@@hewesy7265 Naaa, it would be too forced you know. He died a martyr, and that's good enough.
@@DCapybara disagree. Only Sanguinius can replace the Emperor long term when he dies.
@@hewesy7265 Yeah I want to see the imperium secundus 2.0, but Sanguinius being revived would feel really forced, like a comic book character's death.

Russ' most famous, Primarch busting weapon has got to be his knee...poor Magnus
Well, I dunnae like tae brag, but....
The bleedin' milksop deserved it.
Was anyone else getting this weird background clicking noise throughout the video or just me?
No you’re not alone
I was also getting that noise. Quite distracting when fighting off xenos to save the remaining population of a planet.
I recently fell down the 40K rabbit-hole, and finally come to this... So between Ferrus, Perty, and Vulkan, who's the best blacksmith? And what's their distinctions?

"It's also a Hammer"

PERTARABO'S CYBERDONG IS LEGENDARY!
1:38 calling him "Mr Johnson" makes him seem like your friend's dad
And it thus must be Ultra-Canon (TM).
Did II Primarch also ride an undead unicorn?
@@alexsmith4212 Yes. Apparently he rode on undead unicorns during the invasion of hive world Dundee. It was one of the many battles during the Kingdom of Five crusades.
@@nohero23 I heard the crusade came to conclusion in the moment the Emperors Champion Angus Mcfife was involved.
@@alexsmith4212 Of course. The XIth Primarch Angus McFife had help from a Men of Iron though, called Hootsman. That's why it was hush hush for the Inquisition.

Silence is also a beast in game.. Providing the smelly moth can actually get to your opponent before he is shot to shit that is..
Actually, the Blood Ravens have Forgebreaker in their armoury
Didn't Ferus also at one point use a power wrench? And I thought Forgebreaker was "recovered" by the Bloody Magpies.
When you find out majorkill is uncircumcised
80% of Australian men are uncircumcised. Circumcision is really only a thing in the United States, Israel and Muslim countries. Iceland has even banned the practice, with the UK trying to do the same for years, and circumcision is done nearly nowhere in Europe and is frowned upon. I don't get why people always think that being uncircumcised is something special. Nearly all the "civilised" (western) world is uncircumcised, and 70% of the world male population is uncircumcised.

Those weapon laws are just sad, and now Britain seems to be following; but at least you guys can have knives.
The UK has airsoft, and they can own cooler guns than we can in Australia.
Nothing like being reminded I live in a "former" prison colony.
@@Burkutace27 That genuinely sucks. Are the laws going to see a possible revision in the future?

I want to be hopeful, but it doesn't look likely without wide public support.
The Lion also carried the Wolf Blade, a big ass chainsword that he found in Aldurukh on Caliban. Apparently it had been sitting there for a long time, since it was too fckheuge for a regular human to use it, implying that in might be from Old Night or even the Dark Age of Technology. Seems the Lion also remarked that it was as though the weapon had been waiting for him...
He used it for the whole "exterminating the chaos spawn and taking over Caliban" thing, and after the Lion Sword was broken.
