No words. You need to be good to just take such a classic hit, and make something brand new, not screwing it up! Your style is just great, so clean and relaxed. Also the fill-ins are just what they need to be: not too much, not too little, just perfect. As they are saying down here in the comments, forget about the guitar, go for the bass! Thanks for the cover, the world is needing more people like you! Chill !!🖖
this one and Frederic Spycher are to me, the best covers of this song.. hot damn! that bass playing is butter. Especially all the little intricacies that Mr, Gunnarsson got to lay down on the mamma mia soundtrack before he passed.
Wow. Just...wow. I've been a huge ABBA fan since Dancing Queen originally released, and your bass is so amazing! It adds an extra mindblowing level to one of my most favorite songs.
With god as my witness, i shall know how to play Bass before i leave this mortal world! What a great improv!..really well done dude..(great beard too btw ;-) )
You are playin the bass so groovy and funky! Rutger would be proud. Hard to imagine that you are not even own a bass guitar. ;) I have the Impression that sweden have many great musicians.. Greetings from a german keyboarder. :)
Martin Samnell ahhh cool my man will check it out How much of your performance is in the sound track and how much of this video is your own making mate ?
Don't really know. I used to listen to this version alot some years ago. When I decided to record this I had not heard it in like 2-3 years so most of it is just from what I can remember and the actual chord progression of the song. But I would say it's probably 50/50 atleast :)
A 5 stringed Fender Jazz bass, don't really know what year or what type of series since that bass is not mine. Borrowed that bass for this recording ;)
Hi Martin, some youtube mussicians and i are making a collab video on Queen´s "Somebody to love" it would be great to have you on the band, let me know if you are, and i send you more info via PM. Thanks in advance! Best Regards. Gastón.
+rocktube Hi man! Thank you for the offer! But as of right now I don't have the time to record anything. Good luck to you and link me the project when you get it up on youtube! :)
Thanks and I totally agree with you. I remember really regreting playing that line with so few variations but it was too late to just start over again...so fuck it :)
The best bass lines I have ever heard for this song, and what a superb one! A legendary song becomes way more beautiful.

Check Out The mamma Mia movies soundtrack. Cover I say 😁
You're a great player, no doubt about that, but you totally overplayed that line. Just my opinion.
Thanks and I totally agree with you. I remember really regreting playing that line with so few variations but it was too late to just start over again...so fuck it :)
Martin Samnell Haha fair enough man. You're a terrific player whichever way :)
Martin Samnell oh I also really like that your bass is the same (but with an extra string) as Abba's bassist
