Tenho o privilégio de ter todos os seus discos além de várias coleções de discos de bandas dos anos 1960, 1970 e 1980. Não ouço nada atual, Deus nos livre! Natal RN Nordeste Brasil.
Late to this party but in case you don't know bands like this were used to playing this hard and strong for HOURS on end because people had a passion to do it. Every night could be a whole different show because people valued authenticity.
Listening to this puts me in the driver seat of a 70s carborated muscle car with a carpeted dash and fuzzy dice. At a red light ready to lay down about 100 yds of rubber.
So few folks recall Mountain was part of the 1969 WOODSTOCK! And that bassist Felix Pappalardi produced records for so many other 1970s-1980s bands. Get a load of this animation that accompanies the studio version of "MQ." ua-cam.com/video/qEnF6EB-yMs/v-deo.html
If you just watched this video then you STILL HAVENT SEEN Mountain LIVE. Mountain had to be seen in person. They weren’t just load, they were thunderous. They would shake the stage when they played. And please stop playing “Mississippi Queen”. This band has so much more to offer. My suggestion, on UA-cam look for Setlist, “The Very Best of Mountain” and play “Silver Paper". This is as close to a live Mountain concert I think you will get.

One of the heaviest riffs in the history of Rock and Roll.
I was fortunate enough to see them like in New Hampshire at Hampton Beach. They were incredible, lesley west was an great guitarist . RIP Lesley West.
Saw them in their early days in 60's...LOUD!!!!🎸🎸
You gotta Love the Stacks of Amps they used & they ain't for show either. In 1970 You Plugged in as Much Gear as You Could and You Played LOUD !
And hope you don't blow the fuse box....😊

With that beautiful metallic flake paint job. I love muscle cars.
That fuzzy tone is gorgeous
Mountain was my first concert in 1975. they were fantastic.
Get there Gig at Woodstock. 🌄🦌🍷
Yep, I agree. I like the studio version better myself, nice to see them perform live though.😊
Nothing but the best.......
excellent! thanks for choosing this! great music from back in my day.
If you enjoy how a musician can meld his voice with his instrument, listen to George Benson, "On Broadway".
Leslie West has tone for days. Love his talent. Another guitarist that has tone for days is Paul Kossoff from the band Free.
Watch van Halen playing Mississippi Queen and Leslie plays with them. Edward is king but look at his face playing with his idol!! Best version ever!!!
Blast from the past, ain't it great!
Leslie West... Band so named as he was a "Mountain" of a man!
Once you hear great music you don’t want to hear bad music
This was one of my favorite songs as a teen girl in the 70’s❤
💙💙💙💙💙... Same!!!!!!!!!!
Nantucket Sleighride!!!!! Surprised nobody else recommended this. (The studio version, not the two record side live.)
This was ALWAYS their encore.😊
More cow bells 😅

Steely Dan... My Old School, Haitian Divorce, Show Biz Kids, Reelin in the Years, Do It Again, Hey Nineteen, Dirty Work, Deacon Blues
I liked the studio version better as well. I guess that was about 59 pounds ago! lol
It was at a local TV station with a tiny audience sitting on the floor. They didn't hold back.
Zakk Wylde does a badass cover of this
Saw mountain at Gaelic Park in The Bronx think it was '73 great show except for the riot at the end.
Vietnam war was really raging at this time. These songs kept everyone going.
