    My grandfather used to drop me off on the dock in the morning and I'd fish all day. Those harbor pollock are great lobster bait. I never realized that he was using me to cut down on his bait bill 😂. I just loved fishing!

    That is the same rig I use, smelt love that rig also. They make a pole for that rig with no eyelets. You string it through the center of the pole and can real them little hooks into the pole. Less snags on things like fingers and seat covers on the boat. 😂👍🏻. great video. The other rig you friend had, my Dad and I used that rig with a fig on the end with hand lines from a skiff in Portland Harbor and would NAIL the Mackerel. Oh buy the way, ALL MIKES CATCH FISH. 😂😂😂😂😍 Your Mom and Dad are awesome. I can see they love cooking and love you. Keep up the videos. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😍

    Are harbor pollock juvenile pollock or a different species. If a different species which one?

    • @MainelyOutDoors
      @MainelyOutDoors  2 роки тому +2

      Harbor pollock is just a term for young pollock. They stick to the spawning grounds (shore) until they grow larger then move out into deeper water
