Catching Bass In Brutal Wind

I really had my doubts about heading out to the lake on this day. Several days of strong winds would surely have the water stirred up. Would it be worth going? Well, if it weren't for the fact that I was "on some fish" and that it was my down time from work and that I had nothing else to do, really, I still wasn't sure it was a good idea. I get easily discouraged when fishing in high winds, but I thought that despite all the facts screaming "don't do it", I thought that if there was any place that could still provide some action, it was Headwaters Lake. So I mustered up every false hope and every ounce of misplaced anticipation that I could muster and dragged my sorry butt to the lake. An hour and a half later, the first fish came over the gunnell and it was a good one!
