What I've always liked about Roland Martin's fishing is, he's versed in just about every technique in The Professional Bass Fishing World! Which makes him a better fisherman by allowing the conditions on a lake to determine how he will fish it! Instead of being a fisherman that'll fish a body of Water in a way that's limited to his fishing style! I met him at an Academy on I 10 in Houston teaching a free seminar in 80's? I think he was promoting his book? But he talked about fishing Lake Santee Cooper in a Pro Bass Tournament and fishing deep water along standing timber with a spoon dropping it to the bottom and reeling spoon of the bottom a couple of feet and just lifting up the spoon and letting it flutter down on a tight line, he said anytime he felt it didn't go all the way down or saw his line bow he set the hook and caught the biggest stringer of bass in his career! I believe he won the tournament with 106 + lbs, a record at that time! I never heard of jigging spoons then! But I once used that method on a slack time at San Luis Pass in a deep 20' cut in the afternoon, using a large triple chance spoon, on 20 lb mono, 5001 and a 6' 6" Garcia MH Crossfire broomstick and I worked the spoon like he spoke about! And caught three of the biggest Spotted Sea Trout! A 7 + lb, and 2, 6 + Lbs. I guess on a hot July? those trout were just sitting on the cool bottom of that cut? And that spoon fluttering down looked like dead or dying shad? A free meal? The old Pro's weren't obligated to sponsors like now and fished for the joy of fishing and being the best! Rick Clunn is the other!
Proof that Roland Martin is hands down the best… he has been the father of all current fishing definitions… 100% legend here !! Much love to you jimmy and the guys ..
This is so awesome! I’ve been watching you Roland Martin since I first started bass fishing. You have always been an inspiration! We’re going to Lake Guntersville next month myself and a couple of my buddies strictly to pitch and flip thick matted vegetation. It’ll be my first time ever fishing that lake.
glad you mentioned the spraying of the big O. i wish you would have mentioned that it needs to stop as well though. you should use your celebrity to try to get them to stop using chemicals in all of the lakes in Florida! so many lakes destroyed in the last 10-15 years!
I love Ya Roland. I still have to beat your P.B. I’ll Be Do N It….On the California Delta. I will use your advice 2 Do It 2… Thanks Buddy N Stay Tuned.
Just goes to show how much humans are a invasive species by defiling a water way of life so it shows turn farm land into a good ego fishing system without spraying
How many folks are watching the legend right now?

Hey Roland Jesus loves you!
What’s happening Roland?!!!
I am watching Roland 😇🙏
Is the ramp. Open? I thought it was 6/25/24
This may be a new old video
When did the ramps reopen?
Thought headwaters was closed?
Guys I might be wrong, but I have a suspicion he’s sponsored by O’Reilly
If it's not in your face and on your mind, then it's not worth it to these companies to sponsor. That's the game
What a conspiracy theorist 😂😂
