    Yeah okay we can make fun of the fact that it’s Canon in Eb all we want but all of us clarinet players are secretly applauding this transposition

    • @virtualsheetmusic
      @virtualsheetmusic  6 років тому +73

      Good point Luke, that's exactly why we made this transposition. To make all clarinet players out there happy about it! The flute player, maybe, would have preferred it in D major though... :)

    • @kathleenalcock4043
      @kathleenalcock4043 6 років тому +21

      Aparently it makes the clarinets happy, but as a flute player, d major is better.

    I'm a clarinet, a bad one at that
    0:12 This looks easy
    0:25 Hoi Flutes! Still easy
    0:36 Something of a challenge now!
    0:58 This is something I'll impress my friends with once I memorize the notes
    1:01 Dammit stupid high C
    1:17 OWW... hurt my poor ears
    1:28 *fakes playing*
    1:42 My arm is tired
    2:04 A break, poor flutes...
    2:12 Never mind, no rest... ugh
    2:18 What the-
    2:37 I stopped playing a minute ago
    3:11 *looks over at flutes* 5. 5 ledger lines. And on high range. I can barely do two...
    3:43 Can I stop now?
    3:50 *chokes on reed*

      Lauren2931 I dunno about you, but this is pretty easy, for how slow it is, you have plenty of time to change notes, not to mention the key is pretty easy that if you learned it in school, you should of learned your first year. It’s my 7th year playing clarinet so it may just be because I’ve played for so long.

    I think you should make an arrangement like this for the Eb Clarinet and Piccolo. It would be less scary. Plus the Eb Clarinet would have no flats or sharps :)

    I played for 5 and half years (flute) and i could play this SO well, I just switched high schools and they don't have a band program, and so I kind of gave it up. One year later, here I am trying to play, and I don't even remember some of the high notes anymore, this really just... breaks my heart that I lost the talent and skill that I built up for over 5 years, all gone and down the drain.

    I'm in no way a composer and I'll gladly take any advice or criticism, however I feel like it would make a lot more sense to double the tempo and cut everything in half, because that's how I'm (and I'm guessing others) are already counting it

    • @virtualsheetmusic
