But clearly we need more WWII games, right? I mean obviously Call of Duty: WWII will be amazing because it's yet another generic WWII FPS doing the same thing that's been done for over 15 years... right?
+DWTerminator I highly doubt it. It'll more or less be pandering just because on how people threw a hissy fit for Infinite Warfare for being different, even though those same people criticize the franchise for being the exact same thing. "Fickle" is not even the closest I would describe these people...
@@DWTerminator The Wii has the best versions of Resident Evil 4 and House of the Dead 2 and 3 Most of the FPS on the platform were mediocre, or Call of Duty ports but Red Steel 2 showed the platform had potential
Medal of Honor Airborne also reused assets from European Assault albeit visually enhanced and with different animations. But I like Heroes 2's Gewehr 43 model better than that of Airborne.
I got you on this one: "ちゃいろとグレーと写実的" ちゃいろ (chairo) "cha-ee-roh" = Brown と(to) "doh" = And グレー (guree) "gu-rey" = Grey と= And 写実的 (shajitsu-teki) "sha-jee-tsu-teh-kee" = Realistic Tried my best to include how they're pronounced in quotations. Gotta note that "rey" in guree isn't pronounced "ray", it's like half-rolling your tongue and extending the "ey" for an extra second.
I'll give PlayStation move this. It destroys the Wii motion plus for FPS. Shit actually works decent, Jesus Christ as a PC gamer (who actually is kind strong with sticks as well), aiming without a mouse blows. imagine playing Doom 1/2 (or even Brutal Doom) or Duke Nukem or Quake or Unreal or ANY old school FPS with motion controls. Shit needs to be banished to the 9th dimension.
You could also try Pacific Assault. The game is nothing amazing, but it's pretty much the best single player experience that we have of the Pacific theater.
As a competitive gears of war fan, Gears of war 1 (And 2), and early UE3 games , popularized the "brown, gray, and realistic [super serious]" [lack of] art style too much. I honestly thing devs did It so cover up their weak [or lack of] stories in games. I'm not finished with the review though. But as a viewer for several years, still makes me laugh, man.
I give every game a fair shot. If the game squanders that chance, then that's entirely on it. I've said repeatedly that the only good game in the entire series is European Assault.
Quite frankly I look at anyone who actually enjoys the Wiimote/nunchuk combo for FPS's in the same manner as I look at abstract artwork, which is to say "what the f--- am I looking at here?" The controls barely work, and even when they *do* work, they're still uncomfortable and clumsy.
Usually i blame the developer when the controls dont work, ive playe some games that imo has some great motion controls like F1 2009, Mario Kart, i guess every CoD Game game on the wii, This game (you didnt change the control scheme) Metroid Prime, Rogue Trooper, almost every arcade shooter (Dead space, Ghost recon, Ghost Squad, etc) and Speed Racer (aka the closest thing we have to a good F zero game on the wii)
Developers of the time seemed to think making their games have little more than brown and gray in the color palette made them "more realistic." All it actually does is make them bland, ugly, and less realistic.
Goddamn, Im having WW2 Games fatigue just by watching these reviews.

Muh Normandy!
Hearts of iron does that count

I would buy an hd remaster with better controls and multiplayer online support for switch in a heartbeat
You are wrong, every song are from other medal of honor game. The main song is from frontline.
I think Wiimote controls are better and more accurate than using a gamepad with analog sticks which basically requires aim assist to be playable
They're only more accurate in theory. In practice, Wiimote controls are so much less consistent than an analog stick that they end up being worse.

My favorite game.
I play it every day with my friends on ps vita multiplayer.
Better than Vanguard...
But that's not saying much.
Medal of Honor Airborne also reused assets from European Assault albeit visually enhanced and with different animations. But I like Heroes 2's Gewehr 43 model better than that of Airborne.
I almost fell of my chair when you ''Germaned'' the brown and grey realism :D :D :D
Ich geb' euch manchmal so ein Geschenk. Just wait until I find a Japanese game that suffers from it...
I got you on this one: "ちゃいろとグレーと写実的"
ちゃいろ (chairo) "cha-ee-roh" = Brown
と(to) "doh" = And
グレー (guree) "gu-rey" = Grey
と= And
写実的 (shajitsu-teki) "sha-jee-tsu-teh-kee" = Realistic

... 日本語は話す。I'm rusty at it since I haven't regularly used it for a few years, but still.
I'm only still learning. That's actually really interesting that you know Japanese.
Also German (which I'm considerably more fluent in). And bits and pieces of a bunch of other languages.
i very much like yours reviews all off them keep it up in good work men peace......
you can actually change the controlls of the game
Hello and welcome to another video review...

So I guess I should never try out any Medal of Honor game at all? Are they all just pretty bad?
European Assault is good. That's about it.
You could also try Pacific Assault. The game is nothing amazing, but it's pretty much the best single player experience that we have of the Pacific theater.
the early ones are pretty damn good you should definitely play them
all it would take to make a good ww2 game(in terms of setting) is to base it in the lesser known battles like the Warsaw Uprising for example
Tak jest!

BGR had been "the thing" for years by the time this came out. Gears of War only reinforced it.
Htf do you endure all these damn moh games?
Great videos though!
Endure is a good word for it. This series is exhausting. I have no idea how I manage it, to be honest.
I remember the multiplayer being the best part of this game because of its high player count
Meanwhile PC had 32-player and even 64-player games for years.
DWTerminator well yeah, it was cool at the time especially for a wii being as underpowered as it is.
This dude is an asshole, i dont even comment on his vids anymore, might even unsub
It seems like you don't like Medal of Honor
I give every game a fair shot. If the game squanders that chance, then that's entirely on it.
I've said repeatedly that the only good game in the entire series is European Assault.
so many medal of honor games
People tell me that there "aren't enough" WWII games out there. I point them to these. It shuts them up pretty quickly.
DWTerminator lol most are kinda meh or bland
DW review Cold Winter on PS2. Interesting game.
I don't review Playstation games.
PSP game ported to the wii looks like an on rails shooter
Joey Weaver yeah it does. I think it actually did have an on rails mode
i must be the only man in the earth who enjoys the wii mote and nunchunk for fps and racing games
Yep. You are.
Well, in actuality im not, ive seen other youtubers prefer the wii and numchuck for fps games when yhe wii u came out
Quite frankly I look at anyone who actually enjoys the Wiimote/nunchuk combo for FPS's in the same manner as I look at abstract artwork, which is to say "what the f--- am I looking at here?" The controls barely work, and even when they *do* work, they're still uncomfortable and clumsy.

WildEngineer you should, its not as fast or as hard as f zero, but its good
i think the only fps game that has decent controls on the wii is Metroid Prime 3.
i noticed on the Gewehr 43 that you pull on some invisible handle on the bolt to reload it despite the handle is on the other side of the gun
Yay for recycling animations from European Assault, eh?
yeah.
tbh, I'd rather go back to Time Crisis.
I really don't get the "Brown, grey, and realistic" argument. Most people don't want their war games looking like cartoons.
Developers of the time seemed to think making their games have little more than brown and gray in the color palette made them "more realistic." All it actually does is make them bland, ugly, and less realistic.
only the arcade is better to play
shitpile of honor
