I enjoy your videos because you tend to come up with ingenious ways to fix unique issues that turn a concept into reality. The whip sword is a perfect example. I have never seen a more functional version than yours. Keep it up and ill never unsub.
I think I speak for a lot of us when I say this is why we like you: -Creative, engineering and problem solving. -Really cool. -They said it couldn't be done and you did it. -You're chill and fun. Just be yourself. Going from an average of sub10K views to .5-2 mil 3 times in a row means things will work out.
Thanks a lot! I really appreciate the support and I guess you're right. I just didn't want to ride the whip sword train for a whole year until it burns out, so I felt like I needed to address my plans a bit more openly.
i think the sad reality is that even though theres plenty of people like me who love the long videos, having one per project every so often means it'll likely get lost in our subscription feeds and homepages. separating them into parts is a great idea, that way we're more likely to catch one and then go back and watch any that we might have missed. regardless, i'm really excited to see what you have in store for the future of this channel
I think your plans for the future of the channel are pretty exciting! Also an idea for a 2 in 1 fantasy build; a bearded axe with a detachable spike/dagger in the back of the head. I can send you a diagram of what my brain is thinking of tomorrow if you'd like.
broo.. tbh im absolutely out for watching whatever you going to upload. its not bout the material, its about the creator, his attitude, harisma and overall style and you my guy are always true with yourself and towords us and thats what im here for, keep all that goin, cant wait to see your next one! 🔥🔥💯💪
Can't wait to see more of your projects! Both the fantasy and modern stuff. Also, for the demonetization you could make separate short videos of you testing your swords. The type of wideo, that can only be accessed via a link, which could be in the normal video description. Or use the shorts format.
I like that you keep trying new things and new ways to change the channel. 👍🏻. Your videos are always entertaining. They can't all be gems though... at least how UA-cam sees them.
That’s great to hear! At least the armoring stuff. I do feel a bit relieved to hear so many people didn’t get notified. I think it’s a pretty funny video and was starting to question my sense of humor 😄
All of this sounds great, more content and variety from an entertaining creator. I found you through the whip sword but I found myself waiting for your next build after each video and I'm glad that wait will shorter even if the individual videos also are shorter.
Hi! I met Your channel for they damascus knifes and they eivør seax I love how Your videos are done, they edition and they proyects and Your explication like a tutorial I Will support both channel un they future Especialy they knifes and sword or axes I'm from argentina
Hi Sven, I agree that improving your skills with normal weapon-smithing will make fantasy builds easier in the future. I’ve seen some of the struggles you’ve had in past videos, and circumventing these issues would definitely speed up the pace at which you can make these crazier weapons and make videos. Although these normal weapon videos might have less views, just think of it as a training period. Practice does not make perfect, but practice makes permanent. And when you are ready, would you consider eventually making Corvo’s folding sword from the Dishonored games? Whichever way you think is best to run the channel, I will always be a subscriber.
Thanks a lot for the support! I just like making content for UA-cam in general, so I felt like this change needed to be addressed to be more transparent. And I'll definitely make Corvos sword in the future, that's very high on the list!
Will you be doing specifically darksouls/videogame armour or are you gonna make your own oc armour? And it wloud be cool if you could make a whole kit around the armour. So a sword, knife, tools... That could make a good series too.
Perhaps something such as a unique take on a crossbow or such would do pretty good, I feel like people like watching more technical builds at least thats the case for me.
Sounds like a perfectly reasonable change. Excited for all the cool stuff you come up with! Also, love the armor you've made. I do chainmail too, so I know the time it takes to make that stuff
I absolutely love your editing style and how talk and explain things in your videos, personally I think that the channel might lose the spark without the "entertaiment" part of it but meaby I am wrong. Do what you want to do after all its your channel but I am sure that your amazing personality will bring more and more people to this channel
Thanks! I'll keep the entertaining and slapstick parts! In the last video, for example, I went on a 90 seconds tangent about how my hammer is too heavy and the anvil doesn't sit level. I'm meaning to cut those parts as well as in depth explanations on specific techniques (That'll be on the second channel)
The thumbnail on your previous video was pretty bad. Also, the chopper you made was kinda weird. The video itself was pretty good! Now imagine if you made the video: Forging a GIGANTIC chopper by hand. (or something like that.) With a nice big shiny blade in the thumbnail. I am pretty sure that video would have done well.
You're making cool stuff. I personally like watching people talk about how they think, what problems they face, and how they solve them. It's not just a beautiful watch-only video but one that's interesting to watch, to listen to, and to think about. Keep it up. And I'm looking forward to videos about making armour. I haven't seen anything like this before, so it will be very interesting and informative for me. I'd like to learn something new. UPD. Yeah, and the editing of your videos is cool too. I love it.
Thank you!! I think the armor series will be a pretty cool addition. There's also some parts where I can play around with unnecessary mechanical things 😁
To be honest I have no problem with seeing your successes AND your failures. It’s real. You’re real. That’s what the world needs. Honesty, resilience and a don’t quit spirit. Are you sure you’re not really American!
Personally love the content and would love longer/more parts to videos. I feel more detail of the process is better but I'm probably in the minority. As one of the few people I've seen do mechanically focused smithing I would love to see some of the niche weapons. Like the warhammer/pick sword. (If your forge allows for the scale of some) I never got a notification for the last video which is a shame, but could explain some of the lost views.
Thanks! I hope by splitting the big builds I can both be more in depth and have it be more entertaining because it’s not 45 minutes of „here’s a problem and here’s a problem and now I’m somehow done with it“ I‘ll definitely try doing more of those niche weapons. The next one would be too big for my forge so I downscaled it a bit to make it fit. That way I can also do an improved, bigger version once I have the capacity for it. There’s also 2 armor projects that’ll have mechanical aspects which will be pretty interesting, I think. Springs just make everything cooler 😄
A second channel is a great idea for you, not just for us (viewers) but for you too. So you can have a quick reminder of a technique if you need it in the future. greeting from brazil!
Honestly you do what you want to do, I find you really entertaining so I'll watch your content regardless of what you wanna make (I'm already excited to see you tackle some armour!)
Yeah I am also surprised 😄 But I guess that’s the median since many people click on a video and just scrub to the finished product and thus tanking the retention. Anyways, thanks for your patience 🙌
Its hard to believe it when you said your a beginner, i found this channel randomly and you are amazing. Whatever this channel does im sure ill be here for it.
I subscribed because I liked your knife making skills and you humor the fantasy stuff came later plus you respond to people and treat them with respect.
I personally really enjoy long form content, but I also don't mind if you need to do several short videos during a build to satisfy the capricious algo gods.
I guess it might be possible to release several videos during a build and then compile them into a playlist when they're all done? Basically the best of both worlds.
Have you seen some of the stuff that is historical? There is stuff, that at times looks more fantastical than what you see in fantasy. This is to say, I'm stoked to see what you'll do in the future.
@@NjordArtisan Yeah, I mean, look at some of the Videos skallagrim made, where he showed some of the weird historical creations he found. Like, I think it was a hussar sword, or in another way related to cavalry, that has a straight orientation, with a wavy, flamberge like blade, and at the tip, it had, like, a 45° angle and was shaped in a way that reminds me of a claw. Or when I learned, that many of the weapons in RWBY are somewhat historically accurate. And let's not forget that Real Life Monster Hunter sword, where they fashioned the nose blade of a sawfish into a Zweihänder.
@@Kratos_God_of_50_BMG No worries 😁 It's actually about the handle being 90 degrees to the blade, making it so lethal at piercing. Double edged are almost always considered a weapon and thus can't be carried in public but they're still legal to own. Butterfly and OTF are also illegal here because they could be deployed concealed with one hand
What do you think about these changes? Are there any specific builds you'd like to see me attempt next?
I like them. I am excited to see the new content about armour and stuff. I would also like to see the dishonour flolding blade in the future.
