beautiful Eli this is pretty much how I would order mine when and if that day comes (hope sooner rather than later) but have been eyeing watching following ACW since ya'lls start. to me there's no other pinnacle 1911 to own other than an ACW 1911. The buck truly stops @ ACW. you chose the perfect 1911 w/ the perfect options. all the must haves are there.

I love it. One thing I’d prefer to see on a carry commander is the proper install of a Chen mag well where 1/4” is cut off the bottom of the frame and an officer MSH is used. This way you get the magwell BUT it’s the same length as a government/commander grip frame.
Totally get that, we are just going for a slightly more classic/traditional look than the Chen 2 magwell provides at this time.

My Prime Elite HC felt a little gritty compared to my Quantico at first but it smoothed out pretty quickly. Also agree it’s strange if someone works for a gun company and doesn’t carry their product. Would make me hesitate to buy from them, honestly.
That's one thing with HC, it's not popular in today's world, so many do not understand the nuances of the finish.
On the other note: yeah, I get being a gun guy and having all types of guns, but carrying a Glock while you're on the clock representing a 1911 company? Hmmmmm.
Keep one to the side for me; I'm saving up! 😄

Great looking 1911s and also a very good review. Was Alchemy or Cabot EVER sold in California? If so, does anyone know where I can buy a preowned one? I've been lucky enough to purchase a commander-sized Ed Brown by going to several gun shops in the So California area and leaving my name and number. There's gotta be a better way to match buyers with sellers of used high-quality firearms in restricted locations, such as California (I know, I know, there is no place like CA. It is the worst state to legally own a firearm).

I would like a 9mm for capacity, I’m very use to 3-3.5in barrels so I stay in the sub compact side of firearms, I went to a range where I can hold a 1911 in a commander size and they put it in a holster for me to put it in my wasit band see the size difference and it’s a little notice. That being said I want 4.25 instead of the defender size as I hear there’s issues with them but I do like the staccato cs as it hold more as it’s a double stack. Which should I choose??
Very nice. Can you get one with dlc? A full size target would be cool to have as well though. So many choices lol. I kept going back and forth on an ambi but I agree they look better without. If I got one for carry it would have an ambi since I am a lefty.

How has the reliability of a 5’ prime in 9mm been. I have several 1911’s in 45ACP 5’ ranging from colts to ED Brown and Wilson combat. I really want to try a 5’ 9mm but am hesitant to try one due to the reliability and magazine fussiness I’ve read so much about.

It's hard to contain your excitement getting a new gun.
I'm 6'2 235 and can't carry a commander length gun without printing. The full length grip shows even wearing a a light coat or vest. I don't get how people do it. I stick with a officers model.
