Not gunna lie guys, this video is my 3rd demonetized video to "limited or no ads" out of my last 5. It's currently under review, and the other two failed their review. Link and I spend ~25-30 hours a week on both uploads and these aren't bringing in much money at all. I hate to bring money into this, but it's hard to continue filming these knowing I'll make like $30 in 30 hours of creating them. Yeah that's a good idea! The spec activates like crazy too.
The main concern would be getting enough emeralds and sapphires to be worthwhile, not to mention mithril bolts. Grinding chaos druids AND bolts for each fight would suck.
But instead, what about 55 slayer and unlocking broad bolts? They are pretty easy to get, can be used for training range too, AND means that Rargh can train fletching for later (and save the emeralds and sapphire tips for the final fight, or fights with good rewards).
RobustPhysics avas would reduce loss and gems can be gotten from ham chests

Anyways, somebody pointed out in another reply that Rargh can't get slayer xp without also gaining combat xp, meaning unless he Temple Treks for a dozen hours or two, he would end up using up most of the xp reward in combat stats, not slayer. So not a viable option after all.
So enchanted gem tips will definitely be the way to go after all.

If thats the case then links 100% going to win overall. Since from this point rargh will need massive stats to upgrade his ammo to a point where it will out dps link at point blank. Mith bolts will never be enough. All link needs to do now is slayer and get granite legs and its gg range

Rargh, train fletching to 58 via arrows in the ranging guild (you can buy arrowtips + arrowshafts). Get Sapphire and Emerald bolts (bolt pouch) for max hit + Prayer drain + Poison (5s better than Super Poison).
You can make arrows while running. So buy them then quest while making.
Big brain play would be to use some of the exp into Herblore for prayer pots and the rest into Slayer, using the Slayer points generated to speed up getting broader fletching.
Being able to purchase and fletch broad bolts would make training ranged easy and give him a stable form of ammunition for fights. The only problem is getting to 55 fletching and 55 Slayer after it's all done, because as they said, if you train Slayer you're also training a combat stat.
Just now starting this episode but SO HAPPY to see a REAL REWARD

Honestly Rargh, lets train you on how to hybrid. I'm sure a few of your clan mates or viewers would love to help you out. My advice would get 66 magic and buy some mystic at the wizards guild and hybrid. It's not too expensive. With a -8 magic defence, Link would have to unequip leaving you with open chances to bolt or spec if you find a weapon.

Training slayer is never bad too since you'll get combat xp plus chance on armour upgrades (boots, d med?)

I can't type" Bruh, it's because you hold down the space bar to speed through every bit of dialogue, so it fills your chat bar with blank spaces until it's at cap. If you don't see the asterisk there, it means it's off screen, just hit enter. :D

Rargh, an idea if you may: you should do barbarian fishing and mix roe/caviar into your potions for extra heals during the fights! The herblore reqs are pretty high to mix with prayer pots, but if you had mixed roe into your antipoison pot (a 6 herblore requirement) you would have had 10 extra hp of healing which would have put you on par with Link's last karambwan. Just a thought!
Heads up Rargh u can get ranging pots from some of the skeletons in tairns lair, might come into useful for the final fight or even sooner when it’s unlocked. Food for thought at the very least 🤷♂️

i feel your pain.. my ironman is hunting a rune crossbow and ive gotten a dragonstone drop both the shards and more rare drop table stuff without crossbow or red d hide body all in 60 kills

@Rargh I've had that "not able to type glitch" before, and it took me an embarrassingly long time to figure out why it happens. You got it because you were holding down the space bar to skip quest dialogue, which filled your chatbox with empty spaces. Just press enter to clear the chat next time and it'll start working!
Every time I see Link spam all his dragon dagger specs immediately when the fight starts I die a little inside
its a deathmatch with overheads and hes using a scimmy as his mainhand, which means even his 1 tick DDS special would allow decent recovery time based on the scimmy compared to something like knives or msb. Also being a deathmatch means that KO potential will be irrelevant as burning food is the most consistent way of winning, which means the more he holds the special, the less specials he gets per fight.

56 fletch? get enchanted bolts for saphire bolts e (same stat as mith bolts since it uses mith bolts but drains prayer and add half drained to your prayer points)
if you could have changed levels easily I would say get slayer xp lol. making it to dust devils with unlocked ancient is basically free magic xp and money as well as 55 slayer for broad bolts for basically addy bolts.
otherwise smithing xp? 73 for addy bolts,
also cury is easy to make with cull chest. for +1 heal. so I guess focus on cooking for best food for final fight?

Great series really enjoying it, I have an idea for series 3: Similar concept to season 2 but you both start on accounts with 50 in every combat stat and skill, so you can make more high end decisions etc.
That range in Lumbridge Castle has a lower chance to burn.

Make Sapphire bolts (e) and you can steal prayer points and Emerald bolts (e) which poison for 5 dmg (1 under karambwan), just need 57/58 fletch, good long term goal since getting enchanted addy bolts is very far away, You can get addy bolts from gnome restaurant fairly commonly though.
Know this is a while away but maybe next season you each get to chose your own tiles to unlock each week (maybe after banning a tile from the other person). Then your maps would be different to each other and you could have have wildly different paths.

At least 37 herblore (duh)
Skilling requirements for quests (animal magnetism, fremmy isles, parts of rfd) and achievement diaries
Some xp towards magic for wizards' guild (better mage gear)
As much combat xp (def, range, magic) as possible
fleching gives rargh bolts and putting tips on them to do cool stuff like steal prayer points while also giving a higher attack bonus
@@zacwicht3189 This is true, the question is whether it's worth spending 181k xp for 56 fletching instead of other skills. Maybe put some xp into wc and fletching and then finish fletching during the next episode?
Prayer pots(herb) 30k (220k rem)
smite(pray) ~60k (160k rem)
high alch(magic) 42k (118k rem)
Put rest to slayer for broad bolts? (166k req)
If you weaken enemies with your main you can limit the combat xp :)

For those commenting about 55 slayer: its roughly 160k experience, how do you expect him to get that experience without going over his allotted 250k through combat experience as a byproduct? You really think that releasing a video on a weekly basis would allow him enough time to recoil cheese or temple trekk that much slayer experience, or that Rargh really seems like the type of person willing to? Especially when he also works a full time job.
Rargh, the reason you cant type is because during quests you hold down space bar and your little asterisk that tells you you can type is pushed way to the side. Just hit “enter” on your keyboard and you’ll be able to type again.

ever thought about tipping the mithril bolts with sapphire bolt tips and enchanting them? Sapphires and the sapphire enchant spell are things i KNOW are easily accessible, and enchanted sapphire bolts drain prayer and give you some of what they drain/ might be a quick way to get another advantage
1st comment. Team Rargh. If I were you, I woudl do:
30k on herblore, for Prayer pots. 220k remaining
Then you can either go all in on fletching and use the remaining to reach 58 (for sapphire and emerald bolts), it should be around 220k.
Or you can do slayer [upping either your ranged (just for dps), your magic (for better hybriding, plus high alch is just two levels and a mind bomb away) or even your attack and defence (attack for spec weapons, defence for the obvious, lol)], but you won't get too far, unfortunately.
Don't go for smite, because as you can see you can do it in 2 hours (or less, since you have much better ranged than Link), save that for one episode.
I'd say the decision depends on how close we are to the endgame... If it's soon, then go for fletching (although if you ever manage to fletch a msb it would also be amazing - the arrow tips you can buy in Catherby). If it's not, maybe slayer is a better help. As for the rest of the skills, construction could possibly be good, but I don't find it worth it when you have much more urgent stuff.
Just don't put it on firemaking or something dumb like that.
To all those people saying Link cheated by "flicking smite," the rule was put into place so that earlier fights wouldnt last for hours due to the conservation of prayer by prayer flicking. If you aren't allowed to change your overhead prayer, you could bring a rune scimmy and then immediately switch to rcb and then prayer is effectively useless. Just because Smite has offensive properties doesn't mean that it doesn't drain his prayer or make it last any longer.
Make Safire bolts (e) they will drain his prayer.. . you may not think you have time to fletch but it will be extremely worth wile
If you don’t include hit point experience while training combat, I feel like that is meta since you get the most bang for your buck. That or points should go into some relevant slow-to-train skill like prayer or in rarghs case herblore
The meta is anything that requires consumables (herblore, smithing etc). As you get the items for free.

the issue you were having at 19:20 with not being able to type was because your line of chat was filled with spaces, like if you were holding space down to skip through dialogue or something. notice how the blue asterisk isn't there, because when you type just spaces it moves all the way to the right and out of sight. once the line is filled with spaces, it won;'t let you add any more text, hence why you couldn't type. a fast way around it is to just hit enter.

use some of the xp reward to lvl slayer (maybe cannon it so you only get range and slayer xp) so you can either buy broad arrows and get an msb from a drop or buy broad bolts(u) and make them

The other day I watched a PvP challenge you guys did where one of you used emerald mithril bolts (e) to poison. When you had mith bolts in the bank I thought that was what you were going to do. That would have made the difference.
