Stoicism has enhanced my mental strength so much. I carry myself better. Look at things in a more grown-up way. More proud of me and who i am becoming.
Epictetus and Marcus Aurelius are the 🐐 of Stocism. Epic is even in one of their names .
Woke up at 540 to be alone in this moment just listening taking it all in. Today is my 33 birthday. An while my family is asleep I take this all in. I must have heard this video over 50 times , and as I take this moment to myself it still fills like the first time . I hope you all find peace and comfort. I discovered this channel shortly after my first encounter with Stoicism about 6 months ago. I just want to thank you for this video in particular - while I enjoy many of your videos, I listen to this probably 5-6 times a week, often before sleeping, and it has become a lodestone anytime I find myself needing to work through my emotions/thoughts with purpose.
I have actually gone as far as storing a downloaded copy on my pc because if this video were to ever become inaccessible for some reason I would feel genuinely lost for several weeks.
The music, quotes and the narration work perfectly together. Thank you!

I was searching for answers to questions that were disturbing my peace of mind and I found these stoic quotes. Wish I had found them earlier. I can’t go back and make a new beginning but I can surely make a happier ending. Wish I can remember all of them but those that remain with me I will practice intelligently. Yes, get your act together and you'll be fine. Let things and people come to you 90% of the time. Be aware of any addictions you might come across and step back once you feel addicted. It doesn't matter what it is, if you are addicted, you will ruin yourself and people will take advantage of your addiction. Thus, maintain balance at all costs.

The content of this video suggests turning every failure into an opportunity. However, in reality, there are times when failure is just failure.
I still get a sort of reminder when I am guided back to this right when I'm in a necessity to review it. So grateful for the labor to share this and all that is recharged in me every time I listen. To all that resinate with these simple virtues may the divine shine light on your journeys paths.

*Wow* One of the toughest rap battles I’ve ever witnessed….Marcus won the first round, with his clever rhyme schemes and back-to-back metaphors.
However, Seneca took the second round with his flips and multi syllable schemes-He had the crowd fully engaged with them finishing off his lyrics.
But if I had to decide I would give it to Marcus 2-1, His metaphoric lyrics are out of this world and always stays consistent with the similes-Would love to see him in a 2v2
It's amazing that what these great men said two millennia ago is still being followed by people today.
