Nice to see someone filmed this coming down, I live two streets away and watched it everyday when taking the kids to school. Nice to see another Blackpool UA-camr . . . .Hitting the subscribe button to see more mate.
Great video ste. Reminded me of the great FRED DIBNAH those guys on the scaffold knocking the bricks down. I wonder what the great man would think now with all the health and safety.
I tried it myself and it worked. You can also click the link in the lower right of the banner image & see if that works, but thanks for letting me know. I'm on Facebook at Stephen Cheatley Photography.
Loved the video of the demolition of the hotel Love watching videos like that - they are very interesting Don't know that hotel, but it's sad to see it go Could they not have renovated it? Thanks for filming it it was great Karen in belfast
I lived there for 6 years.. I left 3 years ago. So many fond memories. I was there on this day. I cried and wasn't consolable. My boyfriend didn't know what to say to me I was so upset,
I nominate this video for the Cannes Film Festival next year...so ordinary it’s brilliant...it would easily beat some of the other pretentious contenders..very simple and Zen like..a Masterpiece of filming
Surely the age of the building it could of been made safe and kept alive, rather than put some trendy ugly eyesore in its place, shame on Blackpool Council... bloody sharlatons !!
This demolition looks to me to be an accident waiting to happen. Tall building. Not all that much room between the front of the building and the road. Keep us interested parties updated !!
Are they poor guys really safe up there chipping away at the roof, surely it would be safer having the machine do it. as a previous viewer has said , it just looks like an accident waiting to happen. What a difference from watching the old Wilko building come down.

ThePalaeontologist I’m thrilled there is a competition for first comment on my videos lol. I do it on other channels but I never thought I’d have my own channel which would become so popular.
@@AWalkontheWildSideBlackpool To be honest I've never made a 'FIRST' comment ever on any video, even if I once or twice had the chance to, because I thought it was a silly thing to do but I thought oh well, just say eh up or something lol nowt wrong with that. Not really a competition from my end I'm just being daft.
Another milestone ends ! Thanks for the update Stephen
Hi Stephen, love your channel.
It's absolutely criminal that this building couldn't have been saved. Demolition in the name of progress... sad
ryan777 Thanks Ryan. I love making the videos. Lots of ideas in my head for new ones.
I’m here like always. Great video man!👍

BIG NOZZA There’s nobody like Fred these days. I bet the workers on here all appreciate what he did, I’m sure.
Your photography link in 'about isn't working.
Do you have an email address or fb link?

Thank you Karen. The hotel may have been saved if it was in a more up and coming area.

It's great to see these old fashioned buildings being demolished, blackpool and elsewhere, it's what I would call progress.

What a shame me and my grandad had are last night out in there before he passed away Good times

Not long now..... certainly was a big hotel. How many rooms did this accommodate?
Luke Smith Not sure, but it’s a while since it was a hotel. The Waterloo might be next to go.
One of many.so sad to see ☹️
It will not be the same anymore

It think it was safer to handball the top off because if thy used the machine it might tip it over the street at the front.
Quite a lot needs demolishing on central drive needs upgrading
They should demolish the whole of blackpool
liked it !!!!
Iron jaws very busy
