In my opinion the greatest far cry. Theres something about this game, I dont know what it is. I can never get bored of it and I can keep replaying it. One of my most favourite games of all time. The beautiful world, graphics, story, gameplay and soundtrack was amazing. Hats off to ubisoft for this masterpiece.

I have to say you are right, FC5 is probably the pinnacle of FPS's. Compelling story, believable characters, truly scary moments from time to time. The one thing I didn't like at first was the "kidnappings" in each region, but I came to realize there was so much of a story to be told that I had to appreciate those scenes. I've played through so many times the count might be embarrassing.
Add to that I've played enough Far Cry Arcade to have reached 500 points (highest you can get) on two separate occasions. I'm not sure what caused it but something synced wrong one time and all of my Arcade progress was lost, so I had to start from zero again. I've been maxed out on the second 500 for over a year now.
Sadly New dawn was ruined by changes somebody thought the game needed, and Far Cry 6 is just not that good either. I finished New Dawn trying to be as accepting of the RPG elements as I could, but stopped the replay soon after the first mission or two after reaching Prosperity. Far Cry 6 suffers from the same silly RPG stuff, but I get tired of the overbearingly thick accents for all the characters. For both New Dawn and FC6 I loathe the crappy weapons, I'm here to play games not marvel at some non-gun person's idea of "cool weapons".

eightypuff01 I love how they are using small no name composers to make the music. There's 2 guys who wrote and compiled these soundtracks. It's very impressive. But they are experts in abstract music which makes it perfect

Dan Romer, composed the OST, played in Jacob's region; The Reinterpratation(This playlist) is done by a duo band called Hammock, played in Faith's region; Jacob's region songs are done by the fictional choir, Hope County Choir.
This music itself has bliss in it. You lose your mind by just listening to it.

She was 17 years old. Hardly a child. She was old enough to know right from wrong. Through her actions she's caused hundreds of drug induced suicides and drugged people to the point they weren't people anymore. She's the worst of all of them tbh

She was a naive teenager(and still very young in game and dosent know anything else) who got into it in the hope of a better life without knowing what it was with the goal to actually GET AWAY from her life with drugs but got brainwashed and hooked on to another drug to make her cling to over time.
She actually got a lot of doubt about Joseph and it is confirmed that she literally tried to run away at some point when she realized what it was, but was drugged to be kept in line and in the end hooked on to bliss which is the main reason for her "devotion" to Joseph much like anyone else in the bliss...
She is roughly also as evidently just as much a victim of this bliss and not much different to other people influenced and brainwashed by it so by your logic the Marshall, the angels, the Sheriff, the deputy who kills Eli and everyone else brainwashed into doing what they do shouldn't be "excused" neither...
It is clearly implied and consistent to put together that Rachel herself and mentally is a confused fragile minded girl with a lot of doubts, problems and inner struggle to Joseph and her being "Faith" in the game, but that all of that and Rachel's true feelings, memories, doubt and confused mind is offset to a great extent because of the bliss just like anyone else in it.
Especially with the collapse DLC it is only further authenticated she is not in any way nearly fully responsible for her situation, conscious in her actions and clearly didnt intentionally became what she became and that the the bliss wis mainly what makes her compliant to what she does and keeps her "devoted".
To say she is the "worst of them" is pure bias and evidently incorrect according to game evidence...
Unlike the others she is clearly brainwashed and ultimately can be considered more of a victim in this herself...

This game had an amazing story that had a very unique non cliche antagonist and it also had one of the best soundtracks i have ever heard
The first encounter the player has with Faith Seed in the field where she tells her story and fly on angle wings and that music starts to play is the most beautiful and touching moment I have ever had in a game and it made tears of pure awe
and emotion flow from my eyes and it still does now when seeing it again here.
I lack words Ubisoft,words to describe how incredible your new game is and how touching the story really is and it has
really moved me in ways that I have seldom felt.

Ubisoft have once again, done an amazing job with the music. I remember how good Far Cry 3’s soundtrack was.
Music is everything and it allows us to express a diversity of emotions, depending on the genre. Without music, life would be so boring.
I couldn't live without music it would impossible for me and probably for many others i would rather die than stop listening the music it really is a gift to be able to listen sounds :)

I'd suggest checking out Hammocks other works. They have done some of the best ambient music ever, much of which is very similar to the songs they did for Far Cry 5.
I know it's just a video game cult. But these songs, they seriously give me hope. Expecially when i have lost it all. These songs are the light of my life in a hopeless darkness i have walked into. These songs seriously help.
I loved this whole game from start to finish. Edens Gate legitimately had me yearning for real life spiritual hunger. Loved Joseph Seed. One of my favorite games I've ever played & the soundtrack gave the whole storyline depth.

The first time I heard it was during the intro when you fell into the sea, I swear I stopped moving and just listened in awe, it was so chilling and soothing, at that moment I was entranced to play this game haha. There’s something so spiritually uplifting about it, it just like disconnects you from your current surroundings and diffuses all other worldly distractions.

7.1 surround headsets are a gimmic, they sound like shit so I highly doubt you're in the bliss. Get a real headphone.
ΞLΞMΞNTZ No, soundtracks will never sound better than actual real good headphones, it's just physically impossible to beat dedicated headphones and proper equipment fidelity wise. It all depends on your idea of "better". 7.1 gaming headphones are pretty much always poorly engineered as they are made by taking companies with no real expertise in audio engineering, so that they slap the 7.1 label on things and make dumb gamers cream their pants when in reality, it only benefits when you play certain video games where locational audio is key to winning. Also, even if they do benefit in certain games, who knows how it will work in others. So it is a gimmick. I have tried pretty much every types of headphones on the market and I can tell you, it is placebo.

I've replayed FC 5 over and over and over again. The deep storytelling, and very creative writing if you actually pay good attention to, but most of all, the soundtrack. This game is visually and musically one of the most addicting I've ever played. The music can be intense, and gets you pumped and in the moment. But then the games slows down, and you listen to the music that plays during downtime. I can't tell you how many times I've fallen asleep because of the track "When the Morning Light Shines Through" by Dan Romer. and then this track, so mysterious, alluring, and calming. I'll never forget the first time I entered the bliss; the calm that the bliss makes you feel with the calming music. This game is very underrated, but in my heart, I know this is one of my most favorite games ever made.

Hammock's been my favorite band for so long, and a Far Cry game is the last place I ever expected to hear them. It's wild, and so damn cool.
I usually just listen to Hammock if I'm in the mood to relax, sleep, or seek inspiration. Hearing this track blast out on the loading screen in Faith's area basically demanded that I look it up. So damn glad I did.

Faith didn’t deserve dying. She was a broken child at only 17 years old battling with drugs and a broken family... being forced into a cruel ideology where she couldn’t escape from it. She didn’t want any of this, and she stated this herself in her final moments. You can tell at her death she was reaching out to you for safety and reassurance because she’s afraid of her family and what they’ll do to her if she pushes away from the Father... then Rookie steps away from her. She even says she knew how it would end this way and that you’d be the hero. When Rookie turned her away, she knew she wouldn’t make it on her own. So she drowned herself. It’s tragic really. :/ RIP, Faith. You didn’t deserve this. 💔

Faith sort of makes you question the cults motives, weather they are truly bad intentions sometimes. But I guess that’s what Ubisoft wants us to think...

ShadowMere18A Honestly, yes. But the game makes you doubt this sometimes.
I don’t even think Faith was real at all, more so a metaphor for the cult’s devotion to The Father - hence why we only see her in “the bliss”. The Father always refers to her as some sort of possession, belonging to someone; “our faith”
I found this unsettling, but then again it could be down to her abusive background. She says something about being forced on drugs and we see a slightly more human side to her. But our encounters with “Faith” could be a representation of the cult’s motives intoxicating the deputy’s mind through the bliss, a hallucination, almost making him surrender to their ways. But we can only speculate about that.
I guess this questioning of the cults intentions is reflected on the player, and the fact that Faith could just be a product of hallucinations through drugs really gives for a hard hitting storyline. Because it gives you the same sort of confusion and indecisiveness as the deputy in the moment.

Im a DEAD MEME If he was "The Good Guy" he would not have taken control of an entire county and start to commit mass murder and forced people to join the eden's gates. I lost count of how many times i saw the peggies killing innocent people.
Ivan Winchester Again, I said it was a mere speculation. I just found it odd how we don’t see her in person outside of “the bliss”, i.e. the only time we’ve ever seen her was through hallucinations. She may have been real at some point; I’ve read into her background, she was a “good guy turned bad” type character as far as I can see. Drugs and manipulation from Joseph Seed turned her towards the cult, something we know she didn’t want. It is possible she died, either through an overdose of bliss or her own suicide, something we see reinterpreted through...well, you know who (I won’t spoil it for other people).
Forever her spirit haunts the lands of Hope County, and “the bliss” lies as a key for her to control you. Cult members must have questioned this to Joseph, to which he explained it was their “faith”. And so hence her name was changed. We don’t kill her, we just...choose to ignore her. It was the bliss all along, and when that was destroyed, thus followed the illusions. But she, or “faith”, is clearly still there amongst the other cult members. That is why the only way to kill this faith is through Joseph himself. That’s how I see it...
Christians like to explain things through metaphors, which open our minds to a lot of different meanings rather than one solid answer. This could be Ubisoft’s take on recreating this in game.

This game actually put me into another world whenever I would play it, honestly. I felt like Eden’s Gate was real and I actually felt myself getting pulled into the Bliss, even though the whole story is fighting against it. Faith Seed’s character is so charismatic and the ambience of the Bliss is so incredibly overpowering that to this day I feel as though I could find myself tranced to join the PEG. Well done, Ubisoft!

Listening to this on top of the statue of the father, seeing how far bliss had corrupted the marshal was quite emotional, beautiful tune, and faith telling you that story, one of the most memorable scenes in gaming for me anyway. I must confess 'pun intended' that far cry 5 nailed the cutscenes, and in my eyes nailed the antagonists, I think if maybe with your followers they'd taken a more serious tone, the game could of been better, but again, my opinion.

Our/your companions are serious the only ones who are funny its Hurk (well because Its Hurk), Sharky (because Its Hurk's cousin and Adelaide (because she's Hurk's Mother) but the others are cool but serious. Jess is my Favourite companion the fact the she is a actually a psychopath its cool. And Jess was funny when you have Peaches in your party "Nice Pussy"
Yeah there bear and peaches were okay, also grace was brilliant, but the other followers seemed to find the hole situation a joke really

I am speechless to know that Hammock made the soundtrack to Farcry 5, If you don't know who they are,I recommend checking Hammock out. They are post-rock music which happens to be one of my favorite types of genre.
Faith was that type of character who you knew you *_had_* to kill but at the same time you felt so bad for doing it.

Was Faith really a bad person?
She just wanted to have meaning in life, and Joseph gave her that. Gave her a reason for being. And those who joined The Bliss were peaceful and free, only those that got too deep became mindless. But even they were harmless unless *YOU* provoked them. Angels didn't care, they were just able to let all the worries of the real world go.
When I was in The Bliss, it felt... Strange. Like a world that wasn't real, but somewhere, out there, it existed and it was a place I didn't couldn't leave but I did want to find at the same time.
