The fact that people love faith and love the bliss so much means Hammock and the story writers for Far Cry 5 did their jobs amazingly, makes you understand how people got manipulated. At the start, in the bunker there is a note talking about how she is a siren, but if you never know, you’d fall for it.
The thing is that there is all kinds of evidence in the game and Book of Joseph to back up her story and whole victim complex in this... She is clearly unlike the others victimized and hooked on bliss herself, so no feeling sorry for her or wanting to help her out of this for instance doesn't mean you are "falling for her" but simply to feel pity towards a very tragic and victimized teenage addict who got caught up in bad destiny and brainwashed into a cult... The thing with her being this evil "liar and manipulator" is purely the resistance words but no objective evidence to actually confirm this is who she is, but plenty of clear evidence to confirm she is more manipulated and blissed out herself rather than being this evil "liar and manipulator" which is the point with her character. No you are not "manipulated" for calling her out to be a victim or saying she is more manipulated and brainwashed herself because this is what she very evidently is in the game. Neither are you manipulated for saying that she at core is a broken, too benevolent and naive girl who just got caught into a bad situation and exploited because it is very clearly what the game says... Actually it is very clearly the opposite of being manipulated as by this you clearly aknowledge her wrongdoings and that she is in a bad situation and thus wants to get her OUT of that situation and the bliss and get her help - not wanting to join it... Understanding how vulnerable people can be manipulated, deceived an in the end drink the kool aid doesnt mean that you are manipulated yourself but again quite the opposite.

John Seed was also abused as a child, that’s where his “say yes” thing comes from. Jacob Seed became what he did after starving in the army for a fortnight & the insinuation of cannibalism, he survived but his partner didn’t, “cull the herd”. They all have their beginnings, but to be responsible for the death and torture of so many means believing them just makes you victim to their manipulation. Either way it’s really good writing from Bethesda. I love how we can have different opinions.
I so distinctly remember being 100 percent enchanted by her for the entirety of my time playing that game. And they didn't have to sexualize her. It was and still is a top 3 video game moment.
The regular pitch reinterpretation always makes me feel so melancholic but makes me even more sad being slowed but I don't know why. I suppose it's just that beautiful of a song but that's why it's my absolute favorite out of every Far Cry game. I'm gonna miss 5 so so much when 6 finally comes out but hopefully it's just as good soundtrack wise. I still feel so bad for Rachel and all the other Faith's...

Faith was a radicalized victim of spiritual, religious and drug abuses. I pity her, but I don't want to join in the insanity. I don't understand how it's such a hard concept to grasp for a lot of people that her situation is you know, not good. Something about mass murder, blind faith and apocalyptic nonsense to push a fanatical agenda by an objectively evil man (which she supported) is a bit off-putting. I know that the cult is by design meant to be fairly charismatic and all, but you do realize they are the bad guys, right? Why the hell do I even have to explain this?

@@nembutsu1045 yeah, there’s even a note in an underground cave that shows a mom writing to her daughter asking why she joined the cult and how did she get so brainwashed to think her name was “Faith.” That underground cave was used to dispose of bodies and the note also ends with the mom saying that now she was tossed in there with the rest of the zombified “angels”. Pretty depressing stuff. A lot of the notes in the game are like that 😅. I don’t read a lot of them, but I swear that when I do decide to read them they’re always the saddest ones.

Hammock's music is slow and full of reverb. This is even slower and more reverby. It's beautiful. You can't go wrong with slow and reverb.
