I lived in the Carson City/Virginia City area for a few years before my dad and I went full time in our travel trailer. I still call Virginia City home. A great place to visit. Don’t forget to ride the train from Virginia City to Gold Hill.❤

Cost of everything is going up..we full-timed for 5 years from 2010-15. I don't think we could afford it anymore without remaining stationary for periods of time which kind of ruins the whole experience. We loved Taho, your clip is beautiful and took us back to younger and happier times. Thank you and happy travels!

Ok, will need to put this area on my bucket list. As I watched, I couldnt help but think of all the people, and I was one, who are deemed remote workers. For 2 years I worked remote and my health faded away, until I was really over weight and sick, working 14-16 hour days, and just hold up in my home office. Since that time I took a new job and have more than fully restored my health. I hope people watch this as I did, you guys do remote work, not sure what you do, but have really worked it out to what remote work should be, a life enhancing experience. Just being in the Rockies it creates a sense of wanderlust, and you guys have really given an example of how not to be stuck in a home office and not "living" life simply because of remote work. THIS is what remote work should provide. See the world people, before you cant!

What a coincidence? We have been at Tahoe Valley Campground for nearly two weeks, now, and up pops your video. Yes, it's like being in a National Park and there are simply no bad views in this campground or the greater Tahoe area. We're native northern Californians and Tahoe, Yosemite, and Monterey Bay are among the sites that make us most proud. Safe travels to you both.
Fun Fact: My Garmin RV navigated us, in our 37 foot motorhome towing a SUV, down Highway 89 from Tahoe City to South Lake Tahoe. Beautiful drive, but not so much while one's knuckles turn white. 😬🤠

I was born and raised in Reno. Joined the navy and came back to Reno. I love the area and I love Lake Tahoe so much I drive up daily from Reno to South lake to get to work. But be careful of parking in South Lake parking is limited and like the raleys lot is 2 hour parking anything past that it's a $200 ticket from the police.
Also downtown Reno a few blocks from the new Reno Arch is the old one by the National Auto Museum.

We’re honeymooned at Harvey’s when they opened the new lakeside tower then did the dinner cruise. Anyhow, we no get altitude sickness and can’t go. But you hit all the places we went to and never took photos or videos. While you were there we were in Olema campground enjoying the cool weather of the coast. Happy trails.

Being from the Bay Area and a skier , have been to Tahoe in the hundreds of times in my 66 yrs....Its my favorite place on earth....Best view of the Lake i know of is at Homewood ski resort on the West shore....Stunning views , its almost as if you can run, jump of a ledge and land in the lake its so close...Not really , but you get my point...Know of many great places to visit and eat both South Shore and North Shore as ive spent alot of time in both areas....You stayed in Reno....Would not recommend that to anyone....Am not a Reno fan, unless of course they having one of their festivals like the Rib cook off, Blues festival, Italian festival, Hot August nites, etc... LOL.....If you get the chance i highly recommend visiting Virginia City...Great way to spend a day exploring and eating...Where you pulled out of the Tahoe Valley campground up to the main rd (hwy 50) there is a fantastic breakfast place just to your right called ERNIES , check it out, you wont be sorry....Gets very busy though

Beautiful video. We have an elderly family member who we visit in Reno and then we play in Tahoe. Make sure to bring bikes, kayak & paddle boards , blow up raft OR just rent. You won’t regret it! Best in the off season but during summer leave early and just allow extra time for travel / parking. GNR is great and don’t forget HOT AUGUST NITES car show in Reno. There are some rough sections in Reno but the area in the video is very nice, just some homeless people on the fringe. Reno is more affordable even the GNR so get a room there and take day trips to North & South shore Tahoe. Reno also has La Quinta Inn (budget 2-3 star) pet friendly motel so your little one can come along! Whenever the dog show is in town this place is booked to capacity. Sand Harbor is good place to just hang out on the beach if you don’t have any toys or again just rent bikes/paddle board!

We did not realize it was there so we didn’t pay any attention to it.

It is permanently closed and bought by a billionaire. it's still there but it's all gated and fenced off to the public now. It's a true shame.

Wow! What a beautiful place. Cool cruise! Thanks for sharing with us. How are you feeling about the smaller vehicle now that you’ve been in it for a while? We keep going aback and forth about downsizing. Love from SC, Jane ❤🙏🏻

So far so good! 👍🏻😊🤓 We’re sure it would be hard for many to live in full time, but perfect for someone that travels occasionally or part time to make travels easier and more enjoyable.

We would have loved to meet you guys! Hopefully there will be another time. We have been traveling so fast since we left Iowa and have had a lot to edit and put us behind quite a ways lately. Normally we are only a week or 2 behind.

Lake Tahoe is nice, but if you ever travel east to 👊New York make a point to visit Lake George, which I believe is as nice or nicer having seen both. Remember “Last of the Mohicans” movie? Took place on Lake George. The event, not the movie. The whole area is steeped in early American history, history buffs will not be disappointed. We drink our lake too! Find Albany on the map and drive 1 hr. North towards Montreal. Safe travels to all- see you on the road🙏

We’ve heard from a few others about how nice Lake George is but no one ever mentioned the history like you did. Thank you for sharing! We have been to New York state last year on way to Niagara Falls but never made it to Lake George. We’ll have to make a point to go there when we’re back someday. 🧡😊🤓

Thank you for letting us know. We get that a lot and often wonder how many subs we have lost from this because many may not even realize it happened. Everyone should check to see if this happened to them and if so, just click the Subscribe button again and be sure to click the little bell to get the notifications also. Thanks again! 🧡😊🤓

Hello family we pray all is well we are keeping you both in prayer we have received our Grech rv today and we are truly excited it was a wonderful ride home.
I have another question how do you get the two front side window covering to stay in place??
    Thank you

    • @LivinRVision
      @LivinRVision  2 роки тому

Hello! Glad you had an enjoyable ride home! You have to open the side doors and place the magnetized portion on the metal above and hold it in place with one hand while closing the door to get them to stay in place. We actually hold them a little lower so that they cover the opening down below at the window and cover a little more. Hope you can get it figured out. 👍🏻😊🤓

If people watch this and want to visit South Lake… take it from a local… they did it 1000% correct! Go camp, take a boat ride that is worth the price (we are a tourist town) and go explore what untouched nature is about!
If you are retired and don’t want the party scene, definitely check out the North Shore, very laid back while the south side focuses on working around casinos.

After watching you in your Grech I am ready to trade in our fifth wheel for a class C. I don’t think a van like yours would work for us but a class c might be perfect. Now to tell my husband 🤣

    Love South Lake Tahoe!
Now, tool around the rest of the Lake?!
If you want something delicious to cook, go on a fishing cruise and catch yourself some of that lake trout!
You may leave Tahoe, but it won't leave you! 😘

Congratulations! We use the antennas over the air channels for local places for NBC, CBS or ABC etc and then stream with either our AT&T, Verizon, Travel Data (T-Mobile) or Starlink, depending on what works in the area we are in. We don’t break out the Starlink if one of our other providers work fine.
