Hi Brian and Michelle. I’ve been a subscriber for a couple of years and never commented. I wanted to say thank you for taking us along on your adventures. Brian your camera work, editing and music are superb. My wife retires April 1st and I’m purchasing an Airstream Rangeline so we can short trips from our home. Thanks again for all your useful RV knowledge.
Thank you so much and we are so happy you enjoy our videos. An early congratulations to your wife and may you both make many new memories together through your travels. 🧡😊🤓
You guys make the best videos with the best music to go with it and awesome content of course. Thanks for keeping it real.
You two Crack me up. From hubby's little jabs to wife's glare is priceless
I really appreciate how, when you're on the road, you often pause the video at a sign on the side of the road that gives me a clue of where you are or where you're near.
Well Brian. Donna is crediting you with another gem of information. We didn't know about the egg spinning thing. Thanks again!!
The other idea she loves is using paper towels as strainers.
Safe travels.
Glad you got to spend the time with your family. Hopefully, you get some time to spend some time with your extended family......lol
Safe travels !!!
Absolutely! 🧡😊🤓
Thank you for telling us all the names of the towns you go through. I follow you with my Atlas of America, this way I am learning all about your country & with the mountains, rivers etc. Happy Thanks Giving Elaine from Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
You are so welcome! It’s so good to know that helps you. 🧡😊🤓
When I was driving Buses out of Nashville I used truck stop showers regularly. They are almost always a good option!
There is nothing like spending time with family, especially during the holidays.❤
Hopefully you've made it to warmer weather by now! We ate at Culver's the other night and thought of you guys! We are headed to Tampa tomorrow. Safe travels!❤️😊
Really cool. I look forward to trying this.
Your videos are encouraging this old guy to take a very serious look at Grech. I’m planning on full time with owned an RV lot somewhere. You never know when we may have another lockdown… 😏 it most certainly looks doable for my solo self. Thanks and Merry Christmas!
What a wonderful time to take a moment to be with family. I bet that was some recharge you both needed. I'm glad the weather here in Iowa held out for you. It's miserable now. I bet your grandkids loved every moment. You guys are great!
It was wonderful and much needed. Short lived, but wonderful. Wish we could have had more time to visit.
It is cool seeing where you guys were ending up. I’m from a small town in Kansas and I also lived in Davenport Iowa so it’s cool to see like farm country. That’s where I grew up.
I just realized that you guys were at 50,000 subscribers. Congratulations love your channel favorite ones. It gives me ideas where to go with my mom.
Just took a look on Foreflight. Tampa Exec Airport is 3 miles from the RV Show at the Florida State Fairgrounds. Just under an hour flight from Naples Airport. Great Video. Thanks
Would love to see you again, let us know. 🧡😊🤓
Fantastic video. We recently joined the Class B RV life and we are loving it. We’re not full time (yet) but use it quite a bit. You add some great real-life experience to traveling in cold weather which we will be doing a lot of in the upper Midwest this winter. Lots to remember and consider, but you outline it pretty well.
Always good to go home ❤Merry Christmas and Safe Travels ❤️
Safe travels..I wish you more fabulous adventures in 2023... Happy Holidays and a blessed New Year...🌲🎉🎄
By the way. Nice Grand Island stop. I live 30 miles north. Palmer NE. Glad you enjoyed your shower. And nice cold weather advice.
Hey Mike I was at WTE with Cheryl! Just watched this video and caught your comment by accident! 😂
Thanks for sharing your experience with traveling through cold temps with the Grech Van!
Good tips for a future RVer, thanks!
We have used the showers at a truck stop several times. They are really nice and clean.
Since you postimg a couple weeks behind, I'll just say safe travels everyone annnd Happy Hanukkah, Happy holidays, Merry Christmas & Happy New Year! ❤🙏✡︎✝
Thank you. You really touch on my concerns and answered my questions. This was a very helpful video and we thank you.
Awe 🥰🥰so great that you got to spend quality time with your family Michelle, son and grandchildren during Thanksgiving! 🙏🙏💜❤️🙌 🥹🥹thank you for taking us along your wonderful adventures. 🙌🙌💕💕Safe travels 🙏🙏
Looking forward to your next video. Be safe and God speed
Good morning y'all! Glad you got to spend Thanksgiving with family before heading back down here to Florida. Looking forward to seeing you guys again in January. Safe travels!
Hi Brian and Michelle thanks for the video great work enjoy your travels.Merry Christmas to you both from Barry and Julie from the U K.
The Range Cafe is fabulous!
This is such great info. We are thinking about buying a Grech with the lithionics package. Just starting our research and your channel is awesome. Man, you guys are booking it fast. I know this video is a couple weeks old but I’m sure you’ve made it safely. Best to you both for your holiday family visits. After that…go south!
Great video, thanks for sharing! So nice to visit family, anymore family really is where it is at.
Wow quite a trip, lived in Sioux City for a few years so familiar with NW Iowa. Happy you could celebrate with your families . We are sitting out a old fashioned Iowa blizzard as we watch this vid.
Merry Christmas
Iowa welcomes you back. It's not warm currently. (Got to love the wind.)
Hawkeyes? Ick. Cyclones!!
😂 We love all Iowa teams…just gotta draw the line when they play each other. Lol
@@LivinRVision It only matters one day a year. I also like to tease. Glad you got to see your family on Thanksgiving.
That’s right. 😂 No harm in teasing and very natural thing to do in every state rivalry.
Brian, you do a great job editing it’s so professional
Very interesting. Looks like there were a lot of RVs on the road with you. Be glad you aren't headed south on I-95 to Florida around the end of December!
You guys do such a wonderful job with your videos. David and I are in AZ now. Wish we could be in FL for the Tampa show this year. We will be there next year though. Safe travels!!! ❤
Merry Christmas Brian and Michele!
Tonight is my turn to have pie! I love pie too and always look forward to see what kind of pie you will have. 😊
It’s always so good to see family! I live in S Florida and it’s going to get cold here next week and I can’t wait lol ❤❤
Merry Christmas Michelle and Brian🎄🎄
A few golf courses provide showers as well. Just take a putter with u. Lol. We plan to travel thru Taos, NM, Flagstaff and South Lake Taho next summer. The restaurants and stops in your videos are references for us. Ditto on Wal Mart stops. Thanks again. Great job. 👍
Wow, never thought about golf courses.👍
That was sure good to see you get to be with family over the Holiday. We had a nice Holiday. Happ Holiday to you both. Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year to you both.
I enjoy how you show the sacrifices during your journeys! Hoping you have awesome holidays!
I agree Love your videos, Merry Christmas 🙏
Glad you were able to visit your family! Merry Christmas!
Well planned drive to family plus a great visit there. Priceless! I'm sure pie and ice cream were in there somewhere.
Oh yes, you may have missed the pie while we were visiting my mom and siblings. Gotta have pie for Thanksgiving. 🤓
Excellent video. Very informative and helpful. Thanks
when we went to Calgary in March...temps were near zero at night. We used a couple of little portable heaters along with the Timberline and batteries never dropped below 60% in our ion. The driving the next day they charged back up. Surprised that you don't use some small portable heaters.
We’re surprised you needed additional heaters. Even last year when we traveled to Iowa in the 20s we only used the Timberline heater. Crank that baby up! Lol 😉 That’s the only time we have ever been in temps that cold but plenty of nights in the 30s and the Timberline has kept us nice and warm. The front does get cooler than the rest in cooler temps.
@@LivinRVisionwe don’t use the timberline, just small heaters. Plenty of heat and the front stays warm as well. We have traveled into below zero temps in Montana and Canada and only use electric heaters saving diesel
@jeffrogowsky3245 that’s great, glad that works for you. 👍🏻The fuel consumption on the if you haven’t tried, just so you know, the Timberline diesel usage is very minimal when you’re not connected to shore power and using the diesel instead of electric. But every little bit helps. 😊🤓
Another wonderful video! Thank you! ❤🎄❤
Good to see you had a nice Thanksgiving with family! Merry Christmas to you.
Happy you got to see family for Thanksgiving! A couple of my friends live in Sheldon. Don’t sweat too much in Florida. Going to get that Iowa cold coming down here in Mo. next week. -3 at night for couple days. Best wishes, Kevin
You talking about all the stuff you have to do to the tanks reminds me why I like permanent plumbing
MERRY CHRISTMAS, Brian and Michelle!
Merry Christmas Brian and Michelle! I really enjoy your videos!
I see your co-pilot does the same thing mine does and take naps. Safe travels and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. 😊
Haha once in a while but not very often. Happy Holidays! 🌲
Hug a little tighter, hug a little longer and tell the ones you love that you love them. I’m the youngest of 15 and at 69 years old there are only four of us left… hence the hug advice. Safe travels to you both and thanks for sharing your videos. BTW, my wife would covet that quilt on that bed at your mom’s house 😊.
Enjoyed all your Videos! Enjoy your last one, celebrating with your families the holidays! Wishing you a very Merry Christmas 🎄 and Blessings on the new year ! Prayers for your travels! Lots of pies 🥧! You must of had a weather tip to leave Iowa with missing our 50 miles winds, blowing snow blizzard, close down slick roads, snow ⛄️ ! Your fans from Ankeny Iowa !
Love you guys! Merry Christmas to you from Georgia. ❤️
Merry Christmas to you and yours from Collingwood Ontario 🇨🇦
Oh what fun memories to be had by all. Have a very merry Christmas🎄✨☕💯 I enjoyed your video. From Southern New Mexico 🌵🌶️🙂
As if it wasn't cold enough you had to go to an ice rink, lol. It's been interesting here in FL. Peace River is closed until next year sometime so it has messed up a bunch of FTimers plans, including mine. Anyway, all's good. Safe travels. Brian
Wow, we didn’t realize it was closed for that long. We hope to see you sometime soon! Be safe!
I would like to see what you are using to insulate the front windows. There are covers for the outside of the windshield, that secure with the front doors (although I have a Ford E-350 Chassis), and when I also use my sunshade (doesn't actually block out the sun at this point), and my front curtain, I am able to keep the coach driving area much warmer when camping out. I also use this daily in the cold of winter, when I use a small 300 watt heater to keep it from getting cold while my motorhome is parked in my driveway (hate the idea of freezing my water tank).
Thanks for the video.. appreciate it.
The insulated shades you see us putting on and off throughout various videos is what we use. This was the first time we have even been in temps this cold since we have been full time over 4 years ago now. It is noticeably cooler in the front but not “cold”. Like we mentioned, starting the coach to run the heater from the engine just helps warm the coach quicker. We did pretty good for this trip, but we don’t plan to keep traveling in those temps.
Merry Christmas Brian and Michelle
Well hi there Brain and Michelle, haven't check in for a bit. Busy, but I sure miss your videos. So had to get on see what you two are up to. I feel sorry for you having to be in cold. Am in Missouri and tonight it will be 19 % tonight. Happy Thanksgiving late , enjoy your family. Be safe. I dislike cold weather so much. But have to see the family.
Happy Holidays!
Well, since your next video will come out on Christmas Eve, Merry Christmas!! What are you guys doing for Christmas ? I hope you’re having a wonderful week and have a really lovely Christmas Eve and Christmas day and that the New Year’s everything that you could want! I’m looking forward to another year of watching your videos, it’s so fun to live vicariously through you guys! Someday we hope to do what you’re doing, but we got a few years left before we can get started!
Spending it in warmth. Lol Merry Christmas! 🌲
Happy holidays to you guys! I’m glad you were able to be with family for a while. Very informative watching how you use the coach while winterized.
That city park is great. Wondering why you didn’t use their electricity. I guess you get enough power from solar?
It’s really not the solar, it’s the lithium batteries. Sometimes it’s not worth it to plug in when we have plenty of battery to run everything we want. It’s been totally different than any other RV we have had when we would always plug in. Makes it very nice.
Merry Christmas to you two!
Good video. Happy holidays.
As I was watching you traveling in Arizona and then Colorado, I was thinking what a beautiful country we live in, then you crossed into Iowa!
I get the meat/cheese samich as I’ll do the same, but prefer to make a wrap by tossing the meat, cheese, lettuce and some salad dressing in a low calorie green tortilla and wrap it up. Eggs and tuna? Doesn’t seem they would taste good together.
It’s pretty cool you could be with family on Thanksgiving. Not sure if you’ll put out another video before Christmas, so I’ll wish you two a very, Merry Christmas as we celebrate the birth of Jesus. Take care!!
I really enjoyed your video! When you are working all day and sleeping in a Walmart parking lot, what power is the van using at night and during the day.
The 1,260 amp hour lithium-ion batteries.
Thanks for Info we we're just talking about it, live in PA and cold so don't want to drive in cold now we can thanks do you need to turn on tank heaters or are they automatic ??? we are waiting to pickup our Grech can't because Mercedes has a recall and we can't take it off the dealers lot until the recall is complete hopefully soon Thanks Again 👍🏻
You have to turn on the tank heaters when needed. Yes, the Mercedes recall is supposed to be a software update, so hopefully they get it completed soon.
have you considered window insulators for your door and front window,it should help the timberline.
The shades Grech RV provides are also insulators. The cold in the front seems to come from the floor area mainly. It was really not that bad and luckily we stay away from the cold weather 99% of the time. Whew! 😂
I'm loving Michelle's LLBean jacket.
Family time is important!
You guys are so cute together! Please wash the egg holder with soap and hot water if you’ll put the hard boiled eggs back in it as it probably has salmonella from the raw eggs being in it.
Great video as ever Brian. Can’t believe you used the word “ tuna fish” my family have used it forever but I never found anyone else that did here in the UK. Everyone keeps thinking I’m mad. Keep up the great work. Your both awesome.
I live in the southern US and have always heard 'tuna fish'. Sometimes its called 'tuna fish salad' even!
@@gingerkirby8208 perhaps it more used term in the US?
@@TheWickendens I think so. Its delicious either way!
What do they call it in the UK?
I grew up in Wisconsin and we said Tuna fish...and I've been in New Mexico for many years and we call it Tuna fish. I like dill pickles, onions, mayo in my tuna fish.😋
I really like all the features of the van, wish I could get a Grech but it’s out of my price range. Even though the trip was a quick one, it looks like it was a nice trip for you, especially the weather. Brian, impressive H-board skills 👍😁 was that yours or the grandkids? 😂
😂 thanks! The hoverboard was our granddaughter’s
Brian .... look into getting a pilot, flying j, TA, Petro driver rewards card.... they give you free showers after purchasing so many gallons of fuel....
Thanks for the tip! 👍🏻
Morning, knowing what the weather has been like for the last two weeks, hope you're putting together a video of it.
Your sound & editing is refreshing,
I live on the Northern West Coast of Washington, these cold fronts and the atmospheric river is just east of us but the other side of Seattle it's in the teens, we're that close to it.
Seeing that this was loaded just a few hours ago I'm pretty much figuring you're doing ok.
I don't live full time in an RV, I've got a shared homeport for the winter, March I'll be moving along.
How big is the house battery?
Is your fridge a 3 way, 2 way or 12 volt?
How big are the holding tanks in your rig?
I might use a small computer fan to circulate the air around in there to equalize the heat distribution,
I don't think window insulation panels would do much for the cold upfront, I do know the help keep the heat out in the summer.
Good forethought on the mac. pump, those can be a chore to replace or repair
My only fun story about one of those, we were planning an off shore voyage to the equatorial waters of the Pacific, Pre voyage prep included trying to find anything that can go wrong, engaging the macerator pump with the discharge through hull shut wasn't on that list,,,,,,,,, and it was one of those accidental test's that you do when doing something else that you never want to repeat,,,,,,,,
I don't think I have to explain that these pumps are positive displacement, can build pressure to exceed all holding capability of the hose clamps downstream of the pump,,,,,,
You'd get to old listening to the rest of the story, you're still young.
Good job and Happy Trails,,,
Greetings! We actually schedule these videos so that they automatically play every Saturday at 9am.
We have talked about a lot of this in a previous video but the easiest way to find everything on this RV is to go to grechrv.com where they list everything on each model.
What do both of you do for a living on the road. I am new to your show. 😊
Welcome! 🧡
Payroll & this channel.
Great shots
Its diner. Monday.thru Saturday super is on sunday.evening.
This is random, how did you make the sandwich early in the video? Meat wrap? 😂Cheese with meat in the middle? I couldn’t determine what was on the outside of the sandwich besides paper towel maybe? Always enjoy your videos! Wonder if some reflectix on your front windows would help hold your heat in? Merry Christmas!
Yeah, just what we call a meat wrap. Havarti cheese slices, ham and hard salami.
Culver's swiss mushroom burgers! 🍄 The soft custard!🥰
Just watched your NW Iowa trip. My dad grew up in Hawarden. Is the rocket slide still at the park? I spent every summer there. We are from Pleasantville by Knoxville. Been in Texas 35 years though. Love your stories as my husband and I grew up similar. Now if I can just talk him into full time RV. Thanks for your stories. We really enjoy them.
Small world! Yes, the rocket slide is still there.🤓 Very familiar with Pleasantville and Knoxville also. I lived in Knoxville for a few years.
We go home every August for the National Sprint Car Races and camp in our 37 foot toy hauler out on the Dyer family farm.
Very cool. I recognize the Dyer name but didn’t know them.
We just arrived in Kansas City yesterday to spend Christmas with our family and it's COLD! Actually, it's cold enough that we are staying in a hotel and storing the motorhome in climate controlled storage!
Wow, so glad we didn’t get that cold. Keep safe and Happy Holidays!
What was the concert you went to? Happy Christmas and safe travels
Last weeks video. Aerosmith.
HUGE question~ Did you ever winterize the Airstream for lower temps ?
We never had it in low temps like that. In fact, this was the first time since we have been full time in an RV that we have been in temps that cold. We did hit one night in AZ at 29° if not mistaken but we didn’t need to winterize anything for the brief temp drop. We just left the water hose disconnected for that.
@@LivinRVision trying to convince Vinnie that we just need to chase higher temps & maybe head to my mom & grands when the temps are higher. Possibly 24F here at home base. Thank you ! Loved this video & seeing the smiles and hugs. Grateful & blessed for knowing you
Couldn’t you have left sooner so as not toto have to travel some long days and quick overnights along the way for a more leisurely journey and some exploring? Or do you have a certain amount of time to cover miles before you have to return the van? I’m amazed at the lightning speed at which you cover ground though. We travel by the 3-3-3 RVing rule. Works nicely for us. Safe travels.
We couldn’t leave sooner because of a commitment we already had planned the day before in Las Vegas (the Aerosmith concert that we mention in our previous video).
@@LivinRVision , oh yeah. Didn’t realize that was day before.
We try to start where we left off the previous week, but sometimes it’s not possible.
Hey read the rv antifreeze jug it can freeze but not swoll up 👍
It’s not supposed to even freeze solid. It can get slushy if it gets down cold enough or out in the cold long enough, but we were in temps that dropped in the 20s at night and back up in the 40s and 50s during the day. 👍🏻
@@LivinRVision ok be safe. PS I like your rv it's nice 🏝
I’m wondering if a small fan might help with the warm/cool situation. We use the battery-powered GeekAire. Maybe it’ll help. And, as UA-camrs like to say, there’s no affiliation or sponsorship. Happy Holidays!
We have a small fan but it was not needed. The heater keeps it nice and warm and when went up to work in the front area, I just started the van for a little bit with the heater and then it was fine up there and stayed warm with the engine off.
hello from Québec, Canada you have good music on your video, what is the name of music? thanks
Thank you. :) We don’t the songs we use, just the music source where I find the music, listed in the description.
Just wondering how your "timberline" (spelling?) stacks up to the popular Truma heater. We have a 2023 Travato 59G and the heater is supposed to be 90% efficient.
We have never had the Truma but we did have the Alde heater in the Airstream. So far we have not had a single issue with the Timberline heater. Seems to work great in the last two models. Had both Grech units for 6 months or more, both had the Timberline. The Timberline is VERY quiet too, especially with where Grech placed it (under the bath sink/counter). With the Grech, you don’t have as much length in lines and less elbows to worry about leaks like we had it the Airstream which were everywhere around the entire perimeter of the 33’ Classic. These are the big differences we noticed between the two systems we have experienced.
Culver’s always a good burger. Kids meal plenty of burger for me.
With your dip, you need to add of bagel seasoning from Costco. You’ll be shot and you’ll end up putting on everything.
early Merry Christmas!
Hey Brian, just asking’, did you tip the person at the truck stop for suggesting that you use the shower together?
😂👍🏻 No, they said that is a normal thing they allow. Same at the other truck stop that we used the shower at.
Sorry to ask you this, but why don’t you live in the Des Moines area if that’s where you’re from just wondering where you live in California and one of the most expensive states in the country? Plus I love every video that you put on. I can’t wait for your next one.
We travel full time. The California plates are the plates from the manufacturer. Sounds like you may have missed quite a few videos.
@@LivinRVision I was in the hospital for 4 a half weeks that is y
Hope you’re doing better. 🙏🏻 If you are new to our channel, we started our videos as full time RVers 4 years ago and have not had a house since then. We started traveling in the Grech van last March.
