I think it would be kinda cool if Arin started out with his "grumps" look, like Danny in the background, but as he gets angrier (or just, from song 2 onwards) he drops it and goes back to his newgrounds "Egoraptor" avatar. It would be as if his rage reveals who he still is underneath the neutered, brand-safe disguise he's put on for UA-cam. Not to discredit the rest of the work done here, everyone on the team has done a fantastic job for this mod.
I said this on twitter, but I truly can't believe people actually went and made this into a mod I love it, and the way it's made truly showcases the difference between Arin and Oney Arin still being in his newgrounds "Egoraptor" look whilst still being on the very sanitized side of Storytime Animators and his Grump friends shows how he can distance himself all he wants from Egoraptor, but he'll always be a newgrounds boy. It just sucks Arin has flat out thrown his friends under the bus and Chris was one of them, just to defend story time animators against a video that wasn't even meant to harass them, but poked fun at how bland and similar they all are to each other. The hate Arin threw at Sr. Pelo for making a joking video really was never needed, and the fact most Newgrounds people stood by Pelo and not Arin really spoke to the fact Arin ruined most of his past relations with them. It really shows to the fact Oneyplays is still a booming and successful channel whilst GameGrumps stagnates rapidly and has a history of controversy around it as they barely can grab a 5th of their subscribers anymore, and most older fans of the grumps say they're not really funny anymore.
Been watching Game Grumps since before JonTron left, and I gotta admit they do get boring after a while and they play games I'm not interested in, but I do find myself going back after a while and I find them funny sometimes, just not as much as before like you've said, though I love "The Grumps", their second channel, I've found those hilarious, it's a shame that it had to take them making an entire other channel to be consistently funny again.
I also really love how this is a perfect match considering its easy for Arin to get mad at shit like in this mod, while Chris is still joking and having fun and being stupid, like the time he met the same kind of guy in his Friday the 13th video with DD and J. Whereas Liquid Chris is in for the jokes, and Chris Chan is just taking things seriously
I've been a fan of GG since maybe 2015 or 2016 and I used to even dream of being part of their team. I like some of their series like Danganronpa and whatnot, but most of the old gang are gone, most of their spinoffs and shit are done, they don't make as many funny jokes anymore, THEY KEEP GOING BACK TO MONOPOLY AND WHEE OF FORTUNE, I love Arin and Dan but it hurts seeing what used to be my favorite cc's and my favorite channel become a husk of what it used to be and what it could've been.

Whenever I see Chris idle animation and then look at Jeff behind him, it feels like Chris is trying to imitate Jeff's pose, it's funny but idk if it's a reference or mere coincidence In case anyone doesn't know, whenever Jeff is in Oneyplays, Chris sometimes makes jokes about him, but most of those jokes is Chris saying the word "UGH" in Jeff's voice.
I love that they animated Dan giggling in the back at the end, showing that Dan is on arins side, but not really, like he's on arins side by default but Danny's pretty neutral in this situation
Interesting thing to note: Chris is, in fact, the more musical one of the two, despite Arin and his "raps" in a band that was just him plus NSP, who are also actual musicians.
Oney actually has a pretty good voice, he is rarely serious when he sings, but when he does, his vibrato is great. Plus his music has a very grandiose sort of thing going for it. I liked Arin for a while, I liked Jontron, his jokes were funny, Danny is... well... danny, Barry and Ross are genuinely kind people, and I’m glad Ross distanced himself from the Game Grumps. Chris’s friends on Oneyplays is completely opposite to Game Grumps, that’s why I love it so much.

If you're just talking about shit gaming skills, then sure, Arin definitely deserves crap on that front (heck, it's literally one of the selling points of Game Grumps; he _himself_ likes playing into that role).
Any comparison beyond that is just reading too much into things. Some people hate Arin because of hypocritical actions and online drama? Sure. Others love him because of his generosity and generally positive impact on people's lives? Also sure. Painting him as some major bad guy over these controversies or whatever just seems so ridiculous to me; I really don't get it--he's just a guy who has made some mistakes and also done plenty of good things, just like most people you know. The only difference is that all the bad stuff has been exacerbated by social media, hence my point.
