Remember that a lot of people were intimidated by using a computer back in the day so Microsoft to their credit tried to make it "friendly" with animations. The more experienced users could turn them off.
It's a pity that MS did not just update the security features & keep the look and feel. I was very happy with XP.

@@t16205 I'm a software engineer, so I know bad software from good. I just messaged my IT lead (been in the business for ~20 years) and he laughed when I told him that people think XP was better. Not saying XP was terrible, but I had so many hardware and driver issues with it, whereas I have had absolutely 0 problems with Windows 10 and 11. Heck, even Win 7 was miles better than XP. In my first job when I joined all the laptops still had XP. When we all switched to Win 7 finally, the IT team let out a collective sigh (as did all the engineers) because of how awful XP was to support. So I don't know about your admin experience, but it most certainly does not match up with what I have seen. Care to elaborate?

Try Linux. Seriously... Run SteamOS or keep a copy of Windo$e for your games, if that's the problem. (You can put Linux and Windo$e on the same machine. Tinyflaccid works pretty hard to make that annoying but it can be done. Not that I've tried it since XP was still being updated. Screw Tinyflaccid and their bloatware.)
IMO XP and 7 are both the best. Imagine XP with DirectX 11!

XP was good since SP3, prior to this was worse than 2000. However WIn7 was a facelift of Vista, which was a good system, but they released it too early. If Vista had been released in 2008 or 2009, no one would've complained and Microsoft wouldn't have had to make a facelift.

I relate to being scared of messing up the installation, I was a kid, and my dad would task me of taking care of it, since he wanted me to learn it at the age of 8. Now looking back at it, XP was so stable, unlike what the current operating systems offer. You could always rely on XP
that's true, i also was quite anxious when installing XP with all this procedures ... the funny fact was that i reduced memory-usage by XP to 96MB!! 96MB!! And now Win11 is taking almost 3-4 gigs of ram.
Well... I think we only remember the good parts. XP was quite riddled with random BSOD issues and we have to admit that later kernels, especially from Windows 7 onwards, improved in that aspect a lot. Also, XP knew no automatic defrag, so the system would become progressively more sluggish as time went by and you loading the drives with more and more stuff. Unless you performed a complete defrag every now and then and that process could literally take days to finish.
There's a lot of major QoL improvements over XP in modern Windows OS versions, although one major drawback to it all is the completely unnecessarily aggressive update and general Microsoft policies regarding forcing the updates on you all the time, completely cluttering the system with unnecessary bloatware, constant notifications, rolling out updates which only complicate stuff further by fixing something and make something else incompatible...
Back in the days an update had to be pushed on a physical media, the first service packs for Windows XP were too big for average internet speeds of that era to just download so a lot of thought went into polishing the actual update packs and rigorously testing them for stability and actual improvement gains way before they decided to invest into printing millions of service pack CDs for users to buy. Every software correction after that would prove to be a costly one for the company.
Nowadays they just mask behind the internet update, roll something with insufficient testing and just hope to patch up things on the fly, leaving a lot of users frustrated over it. I'm not particularly liking this modern feature of updates and semi-finished products releasing for commercial use at all - think Windows 11, khm khm.

Can't agree about XP stability. Back then I were reinstalling XP, maybe, every year. 7 was better, but felt heavier. Still I was able to destroy everything by simply reconnecting HDD in some other way. BSOD on start. But windows 10 is different. I use it since 2017. I can freely change disks, cpus etc and it will run. I can copy it from disc to disc and it will run. No need to install OS and spend hours setting everything up.
But I guess even 10 will fail one day. I can't update it. MS aggressively forces me install an update, but I can't. The PC tries, but then fails and restores.
However, I agree that new systems are redundantly heavier.
One of the reasons I use Linux is that I can still use Windows XP theming without sacrificing modern software compatibility lol. XP was truly amazing in almost every aspect. It had soul in it, unlike newer versions of Windows.

@@mr.rahulb You mean bad, I have used Windows 11 for a whole year and I hate it ! I'd say Windows 10 is certainly better than trash Windows 11. Windows 11 feels so restrictive than Windows 10. That's why I hate 11.
The amount of nostalgia this video gave me is more than anything I've ever felt.
I started using XP from 2002 to all the way up to 2012. I still think this is the greatest operating system of all time. Going from the dreary 98 and ME to this was incredible. Everything was just smooth and beautiful to look at, and it still looks amazing till this day. 7 and 10 just don’t look anywhere near as good.

I used XP till about 2018. Use 7 64 bit now (bc i had to, otherwise id still use xp)
Though I think Windows 7 looks the best, the upgrade in looks was pretty incredible back then. Overall, I'd say XP is Microsoft's best OS. Its longevity was impressive, and unlike most OSes, it was even great upon launch. The only drawback I faced early on was the inability to play DOS games, which would later be fixed by emulators.
I had a similar history! My fist PC had ME on it and I do not need to explain what a disastrous nightmare that was. When I had the machine exchanged, XP had just been released, and I got the upgrade, and stayed on that ever since, even surpassing the 2014 "discontinued support" death knell.
I refuse to use anything modern, cos aside from the dumbed-dwon designs that would frustrate me to throwing it against the wall, I also do not trust them. They are all Trojan Horses. That includes all these Smart/i-Phones and other mobile devices... especially those. I'd sooner have a tracking chip embedded in my neck, cos it's essentially the same thing, IMO.

I do somewhat miss XP because of the nostalgia (same reason I somewhat miss 98 and 3.1 as well) but for me, 7 was where Windows hit its best point. It was all downhill from there.
Windows 7 was great because it was built with the foundation of XP. Current Windows threw all that away.

I had a class in school wherein I had to write a paper, creating a compelling argument. My subject was "The effects of Linux and free software on proprietary software vendors."
Consequently, I had to do some research on vendors, and Microsoft was one of them. You may or may not recall, Windows Vista was originally going to be released as "Longhorn."
Longhorn was being developed the same way previous releases were: on the foundation of what came before. Except...well, there was a problem. There were thousands upon thousands of bugs in the previous releases. A bug is a nice term that really means coding error. See, back then, proprietary vendors, in order to keep their product "out there" in the minds of the public, would have release cycles, introducing new "features" with new releases included. However, due to how little time they were giving between releases, they would also introduce more bugs into their already buggy software.
You can probably find this book online: The Software Conspiracy. It details how vendors (at that time, anyway) basically thought that users weren't smart. A user being everyone. We weren't smart, so they didn't care that they were pushing a faulty product out.
Getting back to the OS'...Bill Gates was informed that the code base was untenable, because it had too many errors to work with. He STILL wanted to use it. Until it was demonstrated that it was cost effective to write an all new OS, with better coding. There came Vista. I'm sure everything else since probably has a lot of the code that went into Vista in it. They just modify it, or add features via adding code.
XP marked the end of that particular era for MS. Since then, it's been built off of Vista.

I used this OS for 15 years and only upgraded to Win 10 back in 2015. Had Microsoft kept providing support, I would be still using it.
You can bet that Tinyflaccid was well aware that people would have been a lot happier continuing to use XP. Why did you think they stopped supporting it? Because there was some fundamental flaw in XP?
You ought to try Linux. The machine I'm writing this comment on has been running for 20 days. As in: It hasn't been restarted for 20 days. Generally, the only time I restart it is for a kernel update.

Man I miss XP so much ... I had so many good times with it back then!
Remember how XP and 7 were BETTER THAN 10:
1. in XP, you could customize the whole theme- window styles, button styles, colors, start menu etc
2. the mouse cursor was customizable (it still may be but xp had built in styles) - I remember one of the cursors having a drum roll animation for loading...
3. 7 came with AUDIO THEMES! All system sounds were changed according to the style ['garden', ''afternoon", 'delta']
4. the wallpapers were amazing - not just Bliss, but the wallpapers on win 7 -- I remember the "Animated" wallpapers - -some of the best works of art/wallpaper I have seen
5. Also, the included profile photos....., screensavers
6. XP was a vibe by itself - the installation music, the tour music..
7. So was win 7 -- the "windows media center" had a nice Aero design
8. Widgets! win 7 had those... nope in 10
And............ MS didn't even make a startup sound for windows 10.
I say I like control panel's design compared to the settings app in 10. I believe it looks better in 11 though.

I so so so hated moving to windoze 7 and instantly went on a mission to change it to XP. I didn't move from XP till the end and didn't move from 7 till the end. I like windows 10 but XP was so so less complicated for more savvy people. I wonder how secure or insecure it is today. Would love an in-depth analysis.
Well did you ever use windows 2000? There's a big group actually making updates for it, I think the most recent "update" is dated June 2021!

@@TheChurlishBoor hehe. I had them all. First was the zx-80 in 1980. Loved the c64 and atari ST which i had at the same time as my amiga 500 but only really cause i could play dungeon master straight out the box on the ST.
Spend a lot on my A1200 with 1GB HDD and CD drive and zip drives and so fouth. Loved those days.

I used XP for a very long time, I only had Vista briefly and then jumped straight into Windows 8 (which I actually liked somewhat)
I remember installing an aero theme on XP because I loved the transparency effects, I think the aero theme on Vista is still really beautiful and I'm really not a fan of the modern flat simplistic design of everything
And on that note I really wish modern Windows wasn't so damn difficult to install custom themes on, I love Linux because you can change the UI into absolutely anything you want. After 7 it really got difficult to change the UI and it would always break after version updates. Of course older Windows versions also required third party apps to do a lot of the theme changes but at least it was possible
I wish I could still use Windows 2000 Professional. The best OS by far imo. Open task manager 7 processes I miss those days
2000 is lovely. You can get close by theming a Linux distro. WINE will run most Windows 2000 programs.

if i remember right 2k was very stable mainly because of a basic gfx driver/direct x that basically couldnt be changed? i cant remember exactly. but im pretty sure some of its stability was that it didnt change

Loved XP, and had several family packs for Win 7. They both worked just fine.

when installing from cd took 30 minutes, and after some time there was technology to install xp through usb was taking only 10 minutes, i was amazed and was crazy happy about that.... time really flies and I wish i could go back to 90's or even earlier years.

They work. Hell, i have come across a trojan in play store.
I think Google Play Protect is the equivalent of Windows Security (previously Windows Defender) in Windows... it's built-in (if your phone has the Google Play services), enabled by default, I think... can't remember...
It's better than nothing, but I guess adding a (good, legit, true) mobile anti-virus is even better, for better protection 💪🏻
For iOS I believe there is nothing... iOS is more closed... like on macOS and Linux, people wouldn't install an anti-virus on iOS, I think 🤔 🤔 🤔
Personally on my Windows 10 computer (which I barely even use anymore), I only have Windows Security (Defender), untouched, so it's enabled by default, with its default settings...
And on my Android phone, I have nothing, I also disabled Play Protect, hoping I'll get better performance on my phone...
Doing this is stupid, I think.

Hi, the Google play protect is in 99% of the case fine, in android you mostly install apps from play store (witch are verified beforehand), and the one you install can be checked manually with virustotal
I think that using an antivirus for a phone wouldn't be that usefull and would use battery
I used XP all the way up to 2014 when the old family computer I'd been given finally kicked the bucket, at the end, it wouldn't access that many sites anymore and most applications wouldn't even boot, but it was a fast, clean experience. The next PC I got came with Windows 8 and I've never been more disappointed with an "upgrade". I still miss XP, although moving over to Linux with KDE has at least gotten me sort of close to the same user experience. It'll always hold a special place in my heart.

my love for Windows XP and the like has driven me to Linux lately , where i still keep the simple atmosphere where my OS is mainly designed for me and my use while being updated with the world.
XP is still among one of the best OSes i've ever used in my entire life , i was so sad when i heard it got discontinued
I like how big corps can make remasters of video games and resell them but for some reason MS can't make a remastered version of windows xp like it's way too hard and has zero profit in it🤣🤣🤣💯
Hey this is cool. I've reinstalled XP onto a ssd in 2021 through a 2008 EP45 MB and it works. I also did a full HDD clone onto SSD off a GA 8I848P775-G and ran my programs off it to test a few years ago, and it also worked. I'm keeping it handy for when my original HDD dies. I did all this to keep access to my DAW Recordings from back then so I can archive them in formats I can better use with other DAW Software now since the DAWs I used then have not been supported for a long time. I did not know you could clean install XP onto a current system. Thanks for the post.
Back then. I was 7 years old using windows xp. Everything was simple back in the past. What makes me more interesting is folder background. My sister display my Fav wallpaper digimon in the folder. I was wondering if possible for Windows 10 and above because that feature is missing.
XP was so good it was used by majority of America still until like 2010 ish. I had Vista and 7 when they came around, but ironically I never had as many issues on XP, like ever, as I did on Vista and onward. Windows 10 is honestly the most annoying experience I've had with Windows, besides 8. But we don't talk about that one. Our schools didn't upgrade from XP until like 2010 I'm pretty sure. Went straight to Windows 7 then I graduated. I still have a old Pentium 4 Optiplex with a 20gb HDD that still works today. All original except upgraded ram. The original display is shot though so I just keep it put up. I remember my Vista laptop being basically unusable until they came out with an update and I actually had to use that computer for some time. It was 100% better in terms of usability. Even played flash games well and older games like Doom and Diablo 2.
*Edit* Also for my job, some of the software we need to program older big commercial sized A/C units is literally on these older laptops running XP because that's the only place the software works or exists. So they've been meticulously repaired and maintained over the years before I started working with them.
and Yes, they often work better than the Windows 10 computers we use. More simplistic.
So even in 2022, XP is still useful and being used.
I still use XP to this day. It does everything I need.
I use Office 2003 with XP for word processing, fortunately my old Oki color laser printer still works and with a new image drum, so should be good until I turn 80 in 15 years.
People upgraded from Windows 98 to XP and downgraded to the rest. I cant even begin to say how legendary Windows XP was. Rarely had issues but you could do so much stuff with installations and that beautiful themes.

Still use it on my old laptop. It's fast, lightweight, and it has one of the most nicest GUI.

Of all the Operating Systems Microsoft released, XP is the one I used the most, even after the EOS in 2014. I would always install what was known as Black Edition on outdated hardware and boy was it responsive and reliable. Now I use an install of 7 for anything requiring Windows, but use Linux for everyday use. Eventually Windows will become a subscription-based service and won't stop screwing over its customers all in the name of profits. Would be nice if XP or 7 could still be used without the risk of security vulnerabilities and updated to take advantage of today's hardware.
Dual boot with a Linux system. As long as you use an email service like Proton and don't surf on clickbait, you should be fine with XP or 7.
0:10 Lost one of my first big data drives this way, installing XP and I realised it started formatting the D: drive TOO, so I yanked the wires out of the back of the HDD from the open tower but it was too late. The index was screwed, all the files started and stopped in the wrong places. I lost so much of my earliest career work that way. I think I just went straight to my bed and fell asleep. Like my brain couldn't even take what just happened and I had no will to live. And that wasn't even the last time something like this happened. I have a tub full of old HDDs and I don't know if I'll ever recover them. SSD is what we needed long ago. So much of our digital lives has been lost due to platter hard drives, I'm sure of it.
My suggestion for AV is Giant AntiSpyware. Tried it while ago on an XP machine and it still retrieved definition updates.
Everything is so fast. I remember clicking on start menu options and waiting for the secondary menus to open. Now it's instant.
There is no TRIM SSD feature on XP. I hope you remember about it.
He dosn't even know what it is. Over time his XP install will break. If he reads this, he should get. a cheap Western Digital Black hard drive as they are really really fast for XP. The cache alone is large enough to run the OS!

I miss Windows XP and 7 so much. They both managed to be beautiful and simple without being minimalist hellscapes.
They still work fine, although i guess it may get to be a pain to find a computer that has drivers for it.

@@StofStuiver not really, even the rtx 3090 ti has drivers for windows 7. the hardest part in my experience is the installation. the windows 7 installation disc doesn't have usb 3 drivers, meaning you either have to use a ps/2 keyboard or slipstream the drivers into the windows installation
I run XP on a 2008 era rig, but I use Integral. It comes with MyPal and a slew of behind the scenes fixes and the POS updates. You can even get NVMe drives working natively if you want. Even with a SATA SSD it seems so much more fluid and snappier compared to W11 on my 12700k machine. Once I move my audio and other work related stuff to a Mac Mini I think I'll toss XP on the ol main rig for funsies. It's just a joy to use after all these years. For those wondering why I have a dedicated XP box in the first place, it's for older games and native hardware audio acceleration using an X-Fi Xtreme Audio. I also have a 98se box for the same reason, just even older games.
I have a Windows XP system it's the 32 bit version, but since the system only has 4 GB DDR3 RAM, I'm not really missing out on anything spec wise. It's pretty fast. It's installed on a 128 GB SSD and the display is 1080p. I got a modified version that supports SATA hardware.
I ran a Server 2003 machine until June of 2022 as a primary machine at work. Upgrading to a newer machine with Server 2019 has been such a PITA.

I did my XP Pro SP3 - with Plus! build a year ago, and everyone thought I was completely nuts!

It's all stuffed into a gun metal-colored Fractal Focus G case.
I've been too busy lately to finish the RGB fan lighting wiring.
also... It helps to use a good driver updater. Although, I'm missing 4 drivers simply because they were never written in the first place - doesn't matter - zero effect.
The biggest reason for the build: I really missed Microsoft's "Creative Writer" program.
For me XP and 7 are the best versions of windows, it only uses the necessary ram and doesn't need so much freshness to deliver you a functional and fast running system, Thanks for this vídeo...
my 10 year old laptop still has 7 and I kept it away from updates which was always great performance. But i recently switched to macbook i dont like windows after 7 its trash operating system. Xp and 7 is king
The start menu programs always opened to the right, even on a CRT at 1280@1024. XP is still quite usable today. I have 4 PC's that are running it, one a retro gaming machine. Use MyPal for internet, though there are sites it won't visit. Install unofficial SP4 to get a rollup of all updates released post SP3 plus a few fixes. (XP 32-bit only). .Net up to 4.0. MS Office 2010 is the newest without hacks. As for drivers for newer PC's, AMD is your friend here. Intel typically stopped support after IvyBridge, and even then drivers are spotty, especially for USB 3 and integrated video. I have XP running beautifully on an MSI 890FXA board with an FX-6300 6-core CPU and HD6850 video card. For my Xerox 6510 printer I just use the HP color LaserJet 3700DTN drivers and connect it via ip address. Color and duplexing work OOB. For antivirus, AVG still provides a version for XP and it works well. I wouldn't run it on a Pentium II with 256 meg RAM, but with newer hardware it doesn't slow it at all. Digesting old malware, disassembling it with modern reverse engineering techniques, looking at how it works and discussing the history around it sounds like an amazing idea!
For example with Bonsi Buddy, one could discuss the history of the website, how many users were infected, the memes surrounding it and looking at how the actual telemetry worked.
i played that 3D pinball for HOURS. there was an XP machine in the jail where i was locked up, back when XP was still modern, & i loved playing pinball
I remember how awesome xp was after all the other windows, you could really do anything, and get rid of all the unnecessary stuff making it the ultimate custom build. Yes, there was the switch from a DOS backing system, but it was an easy workaround even back then. Then came windows 7, the next big thing, and i would go back to any of the two if it were still usable, sadly they were totally outphased, not even basic drivers work on them anymore, unless ran on aaaancient hardware or in a vm. They were truly brilliant and clean, all in all very usable for whatever you desired
I used XP in 2007-2010 when I was around 8-11 years old. At that time in pinball ,solitier,chess,media player we use most of the time
You should try and run some modern malware to see if we have now aged out of some of those working. I would be curious if it would also trigger the anti-sandboxing features of some malware as well.
You know, I've always been curious about that. Most malware and viruses are aimed at the OS with the highest market share - since they operate on a mass level in order to increase their chances of being successful. They're not going to waste their time even trying to infect XP systems since so few people are still using it. Not to mention the switches and/or updates in coding languages, how the OS itself actually works under the hood (like the change from 32-bit to 64-bit). Just as an OS depreciates, surely so do viruses and malware since they're not going to be maintained by those creating/using them forever. And even hosting and repositories of them are likely depreciated too. I often wonder if XP is now actually _more_ secure than more modern OS's like Windows 7 and 10 because of this??

My father participated in the so-called PC-Privé-Project through his work. In that case, the employer was allowed to give the employees a PC for private use. So when my father got a new PC, I got his old PC. My 'first' PC was a Compaq with Windows 98.
But my very first PC was a Medion.
In Germany - in our public Library - a new System was installed for the catalogue and library infrastructure. A technician working on that - had an OLD laptop with Win XP installed. I Applauded him.

Some websites wont work in Chrome on XP or even Win 7. No such issue with Linux. Unless you need any application that wont run on Linux, you donot need Windows.

Since Microshaft decided to force the upgrade to win 10 (regardless of how many times I told it not to) I've been linux all the way.
These days, winblows is entirely foreign to me.

Linux runs very well on old hardware, good for people who care about security, is extremely customizable, and more.
Windows supports about any app/game, has more driver support (or at least I'd assume) and might be good enough for most users, since most just simply don't care about it. It really comes down to personal preference. I mean if you like updating on your own time, full control over the system, all that stuff, go with Linux. There's really nothing stopping you. If you don't care too much about that stuff, then that's alright. You can go with Windows. Absolutely nobody care- oh wait I'm wrong about the fact that nobody cares... oops. Well atleast I don't care.

Having told Tinyshaft to GTFO with that windows 10 shit at least a dozen times, I spent considerable time and effort (weeks) setting up an experiment, along with all the process control and data acquisition it required to run automatically over a 1 week period.
I then set it to run and took of with my girl for a long weekend away. What did Microshaft do that very friday?

You're right. If you're a complete pedestrian user who's only uses for your computer are gaming, reading emails and looking at porn hub, you have absolutely no concern about your every conversation and movement being recorded for retroactive scrutiny without context, and no desire to take control of your own decision making process or the information you are allowed to have access to, along with the total loss of privacy in your own home... Windows and google. Accept no substitutes.
The BIGGEST issue with XP on modern hardware is driver's. I use XP all the time, for programming my old CB and HAM radio's, and for playing games like Black and White and Freddie Pharkus, mine's currently running on a Quad Core @ 3.2Ghz with 4GB RAM but it's only 32bit, so only 3.25GB of RAM shows up, this is MORE than enough for any XP system though. I had some trouble getting both sound and network driver's for a mainboard that was built 15 years AFTER XP was abandoned, but with some searching and creative workarounds, everything works.
I spend a lot of time online with it too, using Goanna browser, with NO Anti Virus software installed. I have yet to have any issue's or download a virus, my guess would be the keyboard warriors that try to hack people these days have NO IDEA what to do with an OS that hasn't been in use since BEFORE they were born.....it's harder to hack something you've never seen before.
And if your REALLY desperate, Windows XP will STILL update via the built in update system, but mainly only POS fixes and driver's and some basic files, most of which either crash the system or aren't required by MOST machines. A full update hasn't been possible since Jesus played halfback for the Jews. It still works fine as an OOB system, just don't expect miracles.
I'd install a similar sized modern Linux 64 bit distro like Mint or Puppy with this and you'd have a near perfect system. Same with Window 7. Both were superior to W10/11 especially if you have on older laptop for working with programmable engine management systems.

I still have Windows XP on a stand alone and it works just fine with Windows 10 & 11 files. Some old Programs are so much more Simple than current ones also.

I still have my old laptop who work the good XP. I change its background to bliss, clean up from the virus and it work so well without connection. I love it.
1 thing to add, XP doesn't have proper support for SSD's so if you plan on running this long term... make sure to install an application called Trim. It will keep your SSD in tip top shape while running XP. DO NOT run XP long term without this or your SSD will not last long.
To be honest, for many systems, going to the older version of X operating system, like going to Y version instead of Z version (Z is newer than Y) can vastly improve performance if you do it right.
XP was an amazing OS. One of the best Microsoft made. I used XP way longer than i should have on a 64 bit OS!

I' m still working on XP pro SP3 ....I can build a lot of applications and VST instruments that I am creating with synthedit and synthmaker. Those applications working fine on my Windows 10!!!! Great operating system! THE BEST EVER

Windows XP was the best version. It still played DOS games, it took up bugger all space on a hard drive, it was easier to fix problems, it was easier to back up than anything since it came out, it was easier to re-install...
When I built my current computer, back in 2013, I installed Windows 7. The first thing I did was change it to Classic mode, so everything was square again and the Start menu made more sense. A few years ago, we were all forced to "upgrade" (ie. downgrade) to Windows 10. Now I have stuff all space left on my C drive because there's a known glitch in "upgrades" from Windows 7 that causes it to keep hoarding needless clutter. The clutter can't be found, to be removed. I suspect it's done parallel updates for Windows 7 and 10, because the Windows 10 Control Panel still says "Windows 7" on it.
Man it feels weird looking at that tiny taskbar and start menu. Screens were *way* smaller back in the day.

I still use XP as my main OS system. Xeon quad core, 8GB Ram, 256GB+1TB SSD, everything works great, no need to update for now
