This song ruled the airwaves -- especially in the NYC metro area -- back in, when was it, 1984? WLIR broke it. Even WPLJ had to get on the bandwagon. Simply a great song from the greatest, most creative musical/film era, ever! Coming of age in the late 70s/80s was a gift beyond measure. Wisdom of a 60 year old, here. Passing all this down to my two young children.
A staple of the 80's and will never be out of date. Great performance by the band as well.

I'm 57 now..I'm a Dj since 1979..these girls were and still are One-Of-A Kind , their sound ruled the best part of the 80's. I still spin this record with pride and people storm the dance floor as ever. Bananarama, girls, God bless you all .

I too am 53 and this brings great memories...
In July 2012, my fiancé died very unexpectedly. I had just lost my beloved Daddy 5 months earlier so I was already deep in the throes of grief. The first time I heard this song after Jason died, I had to pull over because I was crying soooo hard, I couldn’t drive. Two weeks after Jason died, a child from my very first class was murdered in a drug deal gone bad. He was only 17. That was definitely a cruel summer.
I grew up with this music. These ladies not only still look fantastic, they still sound awesome. 👏

Its the same song with a different intro, pretty much sounds like they are lip syncing or mixing their voices with a playback recording.

Watching the original music video from all those years ago, these ladies had the IT factor. It’s an unbelievably great song and their energy and appeal was and still is just incredible. Glad they returned and are still so on top of their game.
