- Hé Guys,
Welcome back in 2019! In this video I basically finish my bike. The only thing still left is the seat upholstering. Nice news on that in the end of the video! And my son Thijmen has a cameo in this one and he is doing pretty well I have to say!
Enjoy!

I like your videos and this one was very amusing with your son, made me smile heaps.
upstaged by a 10 year old ! great vid nice to see the bike nearly there
Only thing I respect more than great craftsmanship is great fatherhood. The former builds something nice, the latter builds something great.
Thijmen is a natural, another great video Chiefpep!!!
Great video, cheers from Colombia.
Btw your son is BAAAADASS🙏🙏💪💪💪😂😂
Colorado my friend! The average is 300 days of sunshine a year :)
I plan on having my 10 year old daughter in some of my videos. Nice
lovely vid... you guys rock.
Good work mate love ya bloopers
I like this video a lot
Brilliant, what a team
Great fun!
Haha! Grappig...
Glad to see the bike almost done! Looks great! I enjoy your videos a lot, keep it up friend!
10/10
Hi chiefpep
Great looking bike you inspired me to build my xv920. You can check it out on my instagram page @krish.2025 you’ll see a lot of resemblance from your build. Could you please let me know what kind of speedometer you used on your build.
It's a Daytona Velona. I will check your bike! 👍
Very nice bike, a lot of work, i like details, especially the exhaust. I see you are both Aprilia fans so I'm waiting for an Aprilia project or italian bike. My XV 750-83 project started and this spring I will finish it. Unfortunately, I do not have the technique to attend every stage as you did. It is noticed that the future of mechanics is in good hands. Congratulations to you and your family for supporting you. BRAVO !!!
Thanks. No, I've worked for Aprilia for two years. That's why I have the shirts. I now use them to work in my garage in them. ;)
I love it, that our kids have a better English accent, than us 🙏🤪
What model is your speedo?
Regards from Denmark
Daytona Velona. Thanks!
That was great! Cute kid, very funny! Almost done, can't wait to see the next video!
Love the video! You have a perfect replacement! lol Cheers!
When ur 10yo son is a better UA-camr than urself haha
Thx! (Thijmen the 11yo son)
Love the intro! He's a natural
Awesome video. Glad to see it's getting closer to finished. There is a saying that " the Devil is in the detail" . All the final bits and pieces that need to be done before it is finally finished. Looks like you have someone to take over when you want to rest from videos, now to teach him how to do editing.
Brilliant work little man! You did great! Awesome English and you're funny in 2 languages!!! Clever kid there Pep, he'll go far. Top video again mate.
Hey Chief!!, at the beginning I though that you found the fount of youth ness !!!🤣🤣🤣, nice kid!!!, can't wait to see the seat finished!!
Great news the bike is nearly there, you have to keep your son in the videos, he's funny and so natural in front of a camera, or though he needs a Chief Pep jersey then he'd be like a large Mini-Me!
Haha thanks!
Fantastic bike, done at last 👍
What is the phone holder you use there?
Quadlock
@@chiefpepdesign thanks a lot!
😍😍😍
Fantastic! I have remarked there’s one bolt missing on the regulator, maybe? It would better to solder the neutral wire. Congratulations for the build!
I know. The R/R is not on it's original place. It's tight enough and wind can cool it down easy like this. The wire will hold with the shrink sleeve. I do normally solder all my wires. But this has nothing to hold.
Another great video Pep! Just wondering, have you done any videos on setting the float height on these Virago carbs? I would be interested in seeing how you do it.
Ray
You can not adjust the floathight if I'm right... I have a carbs video though. You can look it up.
@@chiefpepdesign I believe the float height can be adjusted on these carbs, but they don't usually go out of factory setting unless someone has messed with them. I usually just make sure they are set to level with the gasket area when the valve is closed without pressure on it. It's always worked for me without fussing with trying to find the correct measurement.
@@singerray1 interesting. Haven't changed them. The airscrew is 2,5 turns open. That's basically it what I adjusted...
Leuke video’s, ben ook een virago aan het ombouwen maar een 500. Waar heb je die stuurschakelaars besteld?
Volgens mij vertel ik dat ook in mijn video. Dat zijn Aprilia Pegaso schakelaars. Volgens mij rond bouwjaar '03-'06. Die bestel ik via Boonstraparts.
@@chiefpepdesign bedankt!
