I'm a big LR fan, but wouldn't have believed in a million years that a stock RR with 20" and street tires would have been able to climb that. Moreover, videos never show the real steepness and difficulty of the track. Good job for the driver and the people who guided him. And the car, of course!.

It's wild how people get surprised when our L322 rigs do stuff like this. I mean they are advertised as the BEST 4x4xfar! Awesome video I thoroughly enjoyed watching it.
The Land Rover terrain response system never quite gives up does it? It may take a few seconds to work it out, but it gives the vehicle traction in the end even if its just to one wheel. That is quite an achievement on street tyres, but then again you guys really know what you are doing. Not sure I could do the same without fitting A/T tyres.
Thank you 🍻 the terrain response is a good system but on a couple of other tracks it did "give up" as you say. Sometimes its just too much weight and traction on the needed wheel for it to send the torque over and keep going. Overall its one of the best tc systems.
A Land Rover doing what Land Rovers do, even dressed in their smart suits. I have always felt it so smooth and comfortable inside as you float over the terrain. As ever a car for all seasons and a multi role work horse.

Amazing, unique terrain. Hope to get to Australia at some point for a few weeks touring the tracks. Never heard of disabling dsc to help. The thing most 4WDrivers don't know about the Range Rover L322 is the suspension's ability to emulate a beam axle by using the air suspension's 'cross flow' feature in low range. This coupled with each axle's ability to drop way below the centre-line (almost 300mm on the rear) so when coupled with competent driving, makes for impressive capability. I'm very impressed on those road wheels 👌
An 80 Series ‘Cruiser to the rescue!.
In fairness though that L322 is really impressive , especially on road tyres I really liked mine, great cars, the Rangie and the 80 Series both!.
Yeah both very different but that 80 is a beast offroad.
On good AT tyres, it would be just walk up that, simply amazing vehicles.
Amazing, beautiful piece of engineering. Expertly driven.
Very cool to see how well the RR did, other thing is it’s a heavy beast. Makes it even more impressive. Some very engineering.
Incredible video. Always wondered what mine would do. I dare say that’s a dry weather only route on those tyres. Thank you for sharing
Any offroad route better be dry for highway terrains regardless of vehicle 😉
@@lror true, I had my tdv8 in a muddy quarry on road tires. It got through but there wasn't much directional control. Absolute respect for that terrain though. If you're curious , the worst off road trail I think we have here is Called strata Florida and the bomb hole on it. Probably similar to your highways in comparison 😀
@@jon81crowe just had a look at some vids of strata florida bomb hole. Looks awesome and if you got the tdv8 through there thats amazing. That reminds me of a trail called Tea Cup here in QLD. I have a video with my 110 and some other defenders and discoverys doing it.
I'm amazed it's done that on road tyres that was made to look effortlessly easy.
Respect for standard tires on... 👊
This makes me feel better about not getting an L322 with a rear locker. Well done!
No matter what truck you drive,,this is very impressive.
Superb driving in the Rangy .excellent video
Wow majorly impressed that’s truly impressive especially on stock tires. And respect to the driver finally someone who understands how the electronics work and knows that if you just keep your foot in it steady the fabulous Range Rover computers will figure what to do and only when you’re still not moving after 10 or so seconds do you apply more power.
Wow that was amazing to watch , like others have said esp with those tyres, I have just bought my first LR it’s only an evoque but love the car, I know it will never do that but it’s nice to have it for snow days, I have come to appreciate LR old and new even with its bad rep
I must say you guys in Australia do like the difficult line 👍🏻
Just the daily route to school drop off 😂
hats off to the driver and the spotter!
Одним словом, Автомобиль с большой буквы!)
Потрясающие возможности при наличии за рулём толкового водителя.)
Да хранит Вас V8)
No excuses for the cars in the queue behind!
Truly amazed at what the Range was capable of....I still maintain though a simple diff-lock would be better twin-locked of course.
Lockers over traction control for sure.
The only machine doing hard-core offroad with highway tyres.....best 4wheel drive luxury ever
Yeah but the highway tyres took a beating 😬
Such a badass behind the wheel
Been following him across 5 rigs and boy he can wheel
These are probably the only vehicles that could do this with those wheels and tyres.
Amazing! Great driving and very good job to the person spotting you.
Thanks a lot!
Just an amazing machine, and driver
Kinda puts me in mind of ASPW going up Baboons Pass in a stock Discovery 4 (with all terrain tyres). Just incredible to watch a vehicle that wouldn't look out of place parked outside a fancy restaurant, doing stuff that we normally associate with vehicles with 33'' tyres, 16'' rims, 4'' lift, etc....
Yo Land Rover give this man a new defender to test.
A testament to how good traction control has gotten.
And that’s 15 year old traction control tech. Ahead of its time I reckon
And the skill of the driver
@@mariuslouw78 Terrain Response 2 is very similar even in today’s Range Rover. Very ahead of it’s time.
Very good throttle control! Well done!
One thing i noticed how good the suspension articulation this car has for independent suspension. Especially down travel. It's rear and i don't think i have seen on any other vehicle.
Wow Guys, so impressed now I know what mine is really capable of, although I shouldn’t think I’ll be doing anything quite as extreme, I do have my first grand tour in my TDV8 around the Scottish highlands in December, hoping for some snow to give her a bit of a test and myself of course, love your work guys stay safe.
Thanks mate hope you have a great time out and your tdv8 conquers the Scottish highlands 🤙
An incredible piece of machinery-to do that at all, let alone on road tyres!.
I've been considering a L322, mostly rust buckets in the UK though or vastly overpriced, very impressed that it did that hill on road tyres.
Really good driver. Capable car
🍻
Great video, I bet the engine never went above 1500rpm the whole climb, I'll defo be getting a TDV8.
Do it! They're awesome 👌
I though for sure his low profile tires were going to be split. Great bit of spotting and a non-panicky driver. Good job lads.
Thanks man, yeah the low profiles didn't enjoy it but new boots very soon.
