    I have the purewash pro x2 6 months now. Love it. also they say they upgraded some of the components to prevent bursting etc. Time will tell.
    Our laundry has never ever smelled musty again! It's fantastic
    This is the first time i have seen a actual video showing bacteria growth. Thanks so much for putting this to the test!
    Also keep in mind that ozonated water should be used immediately after making it. It has a short half live. Also consider flushing the hose attached to make sure it has fresh ozonated water in it for your spray bottle.

      I am really loving mine as well. Laundry comes out great no more dryer sheets. I use Charlie soap and everything seems to be working exceptionally well. Also, remember that I am a chef and my clothes get really greasy. The System does a wonderful job.

    Thanks for producing the video. We have used the same ozone generator that you installed for 2+ years. It's done a good job on our laundry, but of course it may not be ideal for auto mechanics, chefs, gardeners, etc.. It may have less effect on stains that involve pigment dissolved in an oil. But we rarely need to use detergent, we almost always use cold water, so I imagine after a couple of years at most, the ozone unit pays for itself. There's also much less buildup of "sludge" from the frequent use of detergent. I should mention that our intention was never to sanitize our laundry.
    In terms of using ozonated water in kitchen sanitation, it's my opinion that if people used more common sense, especially where raw animal products are concerned, there be a lot less foodborne illness. Overall sterility is a practical impossibility, so people are far better off minimizing their exposure to potentially harmful bacteria, rather than attempting to eliminate it entirely.

      Agreed! I’m happy with the laundry! I wish people would relax a bit with sterilization as well and focus more on immune strengthening. Cheers!

    It's been a LOOOOOOONG time since I took chemistry. But ozone is naturally present as a gas, so it has to be made to dissolve into water. It may sanitize the water it's in, but I don't think it'll sanitize anything else thereafter. like all of the other detergents, there needs to be a certain concentration of it to do it's thing. Is there any indicator on the ozonator indicating a specific ozone concentration was ahcieved? Your instincts were probably right. I think it's gimmicky.

      The green light lets you know that the ozone is properly being infused into the water but there is no meter that tells you how much. Thanks for reaching out!

      Another thought. A detergent is still needed to remove the surface oils and grime on clothes before the ozone could do it's thing. Like scrubbing a cutting board with hot soapy water before disinfecting. We need someone who is well versed in chemistry@@AwareHouseChef

    I really enjoyed the video! Glad to hear the unit works for clothes, but have you considered using an ozone generator that is specific for sanitizing surfaces? Because of the oxidative strength of ozone, I'm sure the concentration for laundry is less than for sanitizing food surfaces. I would love to see a revision of this video using a unit specific (high concentration) for sanitizing food surfaces!
    Thank you,

    I am sure I have seen ozone used in cleaning fruits and vegetables commercially. I had a tabletop unit that would generate ozone and you could wash fruits and vegetables. It also used a cartridge of some type that you had to replace over time. The thing with it was it had a countdown timer because you needed to leave the item submerged for fifteen to twenty minutes for it to work. Maybe you need to just let is set for twenty minutes before you took a swab? My unit also came with a spray bottle you could fill and attach.

      @@AwareHouseChef The unit I have is the Lotus Sanitizing System. It is no longer sold, but you can see pictures of it online. It looks like the company is still in business. I doubt I ever thought it would work in the washer though. The PDF manual online is an interesting read about how to use the O3 water. There are also YT videos / reviews.

    I'm wondering if you used your mix immediately, as from what I've been reading, 03 is fairly unstable, and will revert back to oxygen within half an hour or so. Perhaps you have to test immediately after getting from the unit? Let me know! I'm trying to research I can use it to kill mould on my plants. Lol

      It was in a closed spray bottle for 15 minutes.

    Maybe I'm an unhygenic slob, but I don't care about disinfecting my laundry, just getting the dirt out. It sounds like ozone generators don't help with dirt removal.
    As for my big wood cutting board, I keep it as dry as possible and scrape it down. I never cut meats on it; I have a soft plastic board for meats. That board gets washed in hot water and soap. If I absolutely needed to disinfect, I'd use chlorine bleach, properly diluted.

    • @AwareHouseChef
      @AwareHouseChef  7 місяців тому

      I think ozone does work well for getting grime out of clothes. I will let you know. As far as the cutting board is concerned. You can do what you do even on wood. It doesn’t matter. It is best to always have different cutting boards for different items like veggies and raw meat separately . Thanks for sharing !

    Isnt it also safe to drink. There is a specific ozone designated for drinking, cooking, and cleaning fruits n veggies . I read the benefits online. And it seems amazing to cure many many ailments In the body since our water is contaminated and our water has fluoride which is extremely harmful to our bodies.

    • @AwareHouseChef
      @AwareHouseChef  Місяць тому +1

      To the best of my knowledge it is not safe for human consumption. Thank you for sharing

      Yeah @@AwareHouseChef I wasn't sure either but I just research "ozone drinking water" and a load of information popped up. From what I know is there seems to be diff ozone for diff needs. Their is also one ozone to purify the air and remove strong pungent smells from houses. So something to look into for sure. I'm more interested in the drinking one tho, so still researching for affordable one that gets the job done. Due to youtibe restrictions i have to spread out the link like this lol. I can tell it works in my washing machine simply by smelling my partners socks😂
