- Would That I
True that I saw her hair like the branch of a tree
A willow dancing on air before covering me
Under cotton and calicos over canopy dapple long ago
True that love in withdrawal was the weeping of me
That the sound of the saw must be known by the tree
Must be felled for to fight the cold
I fretted fire but that was long ago
And it's not tonight, where I'm set alight
And I blink in sight of your blinding light
It's not tonight, where you hold me tight
All the fire bright, let it blaze, alright
Ah, but you're good to me baby
With the roar of the fire my heart rose to its feet
Like the ashes of ash I saw rise in the heat
Settle soft and as pure as snow
I fell in love with the fire long ago
With each love I cut loose I was never the same
Watching still living roots be consumed by the flame
I was fixed on your hand of gold
Laying waste to my lovin' long ago
But that's not tonight, where I'm set alight
And I blink in sight of your blinding light
And it's not tonight, where you hold me tight
And the fire bright, let it blaze, alright, honey
Oh, but you're good to me
Oh, you're good to me
Oh, you're good to me, baby
So in awe there I stood as you licked off the grain
Though I've handled the wood I still worship the flame
A long as amber of ember glows
All the would that I loved is long ago …
I’ll take this man to church, the grocery store, heck I’ll even drive him to the library if he wants to go.
If anybody wants to understand why we love this man's music but also find him sooo attractive, this video explains it all.
What's wrong with a still crowd? If I was there, I would also be standing still, probably holding tears back. Hozier's songs make me feel like I'm under a thunderstorm, it's very immersive. Every pluck and strum of the guitar like raindrops, the percussion like every part of nature singing along, and his voice carrying ours, expressing the very essence of joy, relief, worry, and excitement under the refreshing rain and the frightening boom of thunder.
A lot of people might be just in awe
Exactly, it’s not the type of concert where people would be dancing and singing along
I think if I was there I’d have the same reaction. This song gets me on a good day, hearing him sing it live? Well, I’d be a puddle 🩵✨
Nah, that's not a still crowd. That's an apathetic crowd. Did you miss the beachballs thrown around? Did you not notice all the folks on their phones? And there's Hozier giving his usual best, and not really being paid attention to.
Dude that lightning in the background is just poetic, what a performance
In awe..here we stand..the lightning..the voice..the hop..truly magical
The audience looks like extras from "The Walking Dead " more life in a corpse... as Hozier knocks the ball out of the park with absolute brilliant performance ...
The lightning turly made this so special i was not expecting that when i was at folk fest
this is a pure example of what art is
I've only just discovered Hozier. This is my fav. So glad I've found him 🫶
True that I saw her hair like
The branch of a tree
Willow dancin' on air before covering me
Under garden and calicos
Over canopy dabbled long ago
True that love in withdrawal
Was the weepin' of me
That the sound of the
Saw must be known by the tree
Must be felt 'fore the fight, the call
Friendly fire, but that was long ago
But that's not tonight (Oh, oh)
When I'm set alight (Oh, oh)
And I blink inside (Oh, oh)
Your blinding light (Oh, oh)
Oh, that's not tonight (Oh, oh)
When you hold me tight (Oh, oh)
All the fire bright (Oh, oh)
Oh, let it blaze alright (Oh, oh)
Oh, hope that you're good to me
Oh, you're good to me (Oh, oh)
Hope that you're good to me, baby (Oh, oh)
With the war of the fire
My heart moves to its feet
Like the ashes of ash
I saw eyes in the heat
Feel it soft and as pure as snow
Fell in love with the fire long ago
With each love I could lose
I was never the same
Watch it still live in roofs
Be consumed by the flame
I was fixed on your hand of gold
Lay in waste of my lovin' long ago
That's not tonight (Oh, oh)
I'm set alight (Oh, oh)
And I blink inside (Oh, oh)
Your blinding light (Oh, oh)
Oh, that's not tonight (Oh, oh)
You hold me tight (Oh, oh)
All the fire bright (Oh, oh)
Oh, let it blaze alright, honey (Oh, oh)
Oh, hope that you're good to me
Oh, you're good to me (Oh, oh)
Hope that you're good to me, baby (Oh, oh)
So in awe there I stood as you
Licked off the grain
Though I've handled the wood
I still worship the flame
Long as amber of ember glows
All the wood that I'd loved is long ago
And it's not tonight (Oh, oh)
When I'm set alight (Oh, oh)
And I blink inside (Oh, oh)
Oh, your blinding light (Oh, oh)
Oh, that's not tonight (Oh, oh)
When you hold me tight (Oh, oh)
All the fire bright (Oh, oh)
Oh, let it blaze alright (Oh, oh)
Hope you're good to me
Hope you're good to me (Oh, oh)
Hope that you're good to me
Baby (Oh, oh)
Oh, oh, you're good to me
You're good to me (Oh, oh)
Hope that you're good to me, baby (Oh, oh)

Kisses Rimma. Thanks. To the next...
Unreal how many still people are in the crowd…
2:40
The black guy on his phone at :48😂
Worst crowd ever ahahahahahahah all just standing still
Yea it's not a rap concert, no shootings or stampedes or foolery, just good White people peacefully enjoying a White Irishmen's majestic artistry
@@MacGiollaCostigan mr Paul are you saying that black people are all about rap, shootings, stampedes, and foolery?! Sounds quite...racist to me...
I think you calling a predominately White crowd the "worst crowd ever ahahahaha" is pretty damn racist.
@@MacGiollaCostigan I'm joking Mr Paul but they were pretty boring. I mean, speaking from a guitarist performer point of view, I found them quite boring. But I guess everyone can enjoy the music the way they want to
@@ColdPizzaPictures that dood paul sounds racist asffff lmfaooo
Tf crowds are toooo wrong hereee
