I tried your method several times to no avail. I would turn the printer off for 10-20 seconds and turn it back on, install the cartridges and nothing. I reviewed the steps and realized I was missing one step. I had not been drinking a cup of tea. Being American, I made a cup of coffee and... it worked. I encourage viewers to do this most important step - the tea/coffee is important! Thanks!
i had spent 100 Euro on 5 new cartridges and could not get the printer to accept them even though they were exactly the same type of Epson cartridges as i had always used.I had resigned myself to discarding the printer having tried a number of solutions on the internet none of which worked. Then I found your easy to apply suggestions and it worked like magic. You are truly a magician ...thanks from the bottom of my heart
Thank you! I have been trying to get the printer to recognize the cartridge and nothing worked. I tried your recommendation to change the cartridge while the printer is on and IT WORKED!
Once again you come to my rescue!!! Had to change printer (where your tip worked for the first time) and the new printer was playing up (would not accept alternative cartridges). I resent spending over the top money for genuine cartridges (and I had to twice and still crying for the money really around £70 :( very sad indeed). I finally ordered cartridges from you at the fraction of the cost and only bought one batch to test they worked. YAY they did. So I ordered a bigger quantity now and it works out for less than £1.80 per cartridge!!!! Super happy
It worked for me the 1st time, after 30 minutes of battling with this machine... but 1 extra step I did, after I turn printer back on I put old cartridge back in printer so it would recongize the ink cartridge being empty. Then replaced with new cartridge and BAM it worked with no problems...THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH SIR!
I have never been so impressed with any information I've received on the internet. I tried all day yesterday to find help on my HP 1300 series printer with the same problem. There was a plethora of info, but none of it worked. I switched to my Epson NX510 which I had put aside and bought a Canon to replace it about 2 years ago. Since I couldn't get the HP to work for my husband, I thought I'd try the Epson. It took 10 minutes for Matt to solve my issue. You deserve good "KUDOS" from anyone who looks at your videos. Concise, informative, and useful. Finally something that works. Good job Matt. I'll even use my first name -- it's Marvel. Thanks
I can't believe this is 10 years old. I have returned many times over the years. Still very useful as a reminder. Still relevant and I thank you very much. It always worked for me and I always forget the sequence to follow. But its just worked again for me. Hurrah
thanks! this works for me EVERY time!! the trick for my printer is to leave one cartridge in so it sees that it has only one cartridge then when you put the others in it fully recognizes them. Sometimes it shows that they are really low, if that happens I just repeat this procedure with those cartridges
Thanks, I was quite skeptical and bored to tears over this, but your advice actually worked. I left in the cyan cartridge, pressed OK, it said cartridges not installed. So I turn it off, insert black, yellow and magenta. Now it recognizes them, but says "non-genuine cartridges detected. Continue? [yes] [no]". I select yes, and now it prints normally.
As a total novice at printers I was on the verge of going out to buy Epson Original cartridges as I was getting the message "Can't recognise Cart" then I found "Refresh Cartridges. You've saved me not only money but time and most of all my sanity. Cheers Gents Excellent advice
here we are in 2021and somehow, I clicked on "epson Printer Update" Big no no! So my generic cartridges were rejected. Been using them for 3 years. Found this video on you tube, and presto!! They work again. Thank you so very much!! 500 thumbs up!
After a couple of hours of trial and error, I saw these instructions. I removed ALL cartridges, switched off like you said, and when I switched back on and re-inserted hey presto it worked. Many, many thanks.!!
Thank you! This worked immediately! Could not even finish my cup of tea. Remove, turn off, turn on, remove, turn on...Happy computer, happy me. Thanks for making this information, sparing many people frustration and waste. You rock!
So so grateful that I came across this video! In the middle of printing a birthday banner the printer decided it no longer recognised the cyan cartridge. I'd tried switching on and off numerous times & taking the cartridge out & putting it back in but obviously hadn't got the order right - thank you!!
Dave Passingham: First time I've ever written in to a site. Just to send big thanks to the chap from Referesh Cartridges. I have an important paper to translate, need it printed, and have been stuck for 2 days. Worked a treat. Epson Stylus SX415, by the way
Wow wow wow it works. Tried everything before watching your video. So very thankful as I'm a home educator and NEED my printer daily to print school work. BRILLIANT!
I did this and instead of it rejecting the ink. It said the ink I'm using wasn't genuine. Which it isn't, after I press accept the ink, it's been working perfectly. Thank you.
I am having issues with genuine Epson cartridges not being recognized ever since I did an update for my new Epson printer. There are many other Epson customers having these issues. I am really disappointed in Epson for allowing this to happen. Manufacturers don't seem to care about consumer issues any, more just get the product out there and consumer be dammed. On another issue, we don't need stupid comments on videos that individuals go to the trouble to put together to help us. I am thankful for them.
the problem occurs because the Epson updates (which can be difficult to 'cancel the update") have program in it to Not accept (display says "replace" cartidge) any cartridge but an Epson cartridge. You also are accepting this , stated in the 'fine print' of the update contract, when you update your printer. The Supreme Court of the US decided that any brand of cartridge should be accepted upon purchase of your printer, (LITERALLY), however , Epson's 'fine print' in the updates makes you agree to only use their brand cartridge if you accept their update. Now there is another LAWSUIT in process to get triple your money for the forced use of Epson brand cartridges. WOULD YOU BUY A CAR IF YOU MUST BUY GAS FROM ONLY THAT MANUFACTURER? NO
We tried this and it didn't work BUT then we took all the cartridges out and put them all back in and it worked! So thank you for the tip in essence it worked! Great job thank you!
It worked on my epson sx205. Cant thank you enough. Useful both for when you run out of ink, and in case epson has hacked your printer and cannot use substitute brand inks. Particularly annoying when you have something urgent to print. Thanks again !
Worked!!! Epson XP-820 - 1. Choose Replace Ink Cartridge - Take ink cartridge out. 2. Turn off printer - WAIT 5 Min - Might be to allow caps / Printer memory to fully discharge. 3. Turn printer back on. Printer will search for missing cartridge and tell you to install it. 4. Put cartridge back in. Note: A) Installed Epson Printer as Administrator / Win 7 Compatability in WIN10 64 bit. B) Ran Nozzle Check on "NEW" cartridge. All is A++++ THANK YOU!!!! Amazing!!!! Epson Compatable cartrideges.
Thank you so much! The first tip (turning the printer off with the "bad" cartridge missing) did the trick. As soon as I turned the printer back on and put in the missing cartridge, the printer accepted it with no problem. :-)
I'm literally sitting at a store waiting them to finish thd product I paid for, but they can't because the generic printers will not work. They need to make this criminal and require the companies that take action to prevent generic cartridges to work refund the FULL cost of the printer and any generic cartridges purchased.
It worked!!!! Following your instruction, I: 1/ took the empty cartridge out, then 2/ switched off the machine, then 3/ left it for a couple of minutes, then 4/ turned the machine back on. The machine complained that there's no cartridge then asked me to install a cartridge, which I did with the new cartridge. The machine then went through a "maintenance period" (to initiate the new cartridge, I guess) for about 4 minutes then Voila! It worked! Thank you very much for sharing this very neat trick. This has saved me a handful of dollars now and a bucket more in the future :)
Hi Matt .... Thank you so much for the tip! I had bought a set of replacement cartridges (non oem) for my Epson SX125. ink ran out and replaced the full set, and not recognized came up for all. bought a new set and the same. Today your tip of removing cartridge and go for a Coffee and then put it back in worked first time!
I had a Computer Repair guy come over, and he shook his head and said, sorry no way around it. Then I tried this and was successful Epson 610 now prints perfectly!!
Printer manufacturers really annoy me. The amount of stuff they do to try to force you to buy more ink from them is crazy. They give you an "ink not recognised" error at every opportunity, won't let you print B&W if any colour cartridges are "empty", and they've got more ink buying buttons and messages and reminders than you can count.
@Noah Daughhetee So right. I received message on my printer to update software. I did. Rebooted. Printer wouldn't recognize the three none Epson cartridges only the one which was Epson. The printer worked fine before the update. Thanks a lot Epson.
Thanks mate, Ran out of ink with my other printer so had to reinstate my old Epson R300. Plugged it in after 2 years and it didn't recognise any of the inks in it. This tip worked a treat! Many Thanks.
This actually worked for me! I almost passed it up because it was posted in 2010. Very glad I didn't. And it's true, the most important step is the cup of tea.
Thanks, and that narcissic says not turn of the printer when CHANGING the cartridges, when placing the new cartridge is part of the procedure "CHANGING", and then he says to turn off the printer without finishing the "REPLACING" procedure. He should teach himself to express his content correctly before posting!
Fantastic! I was ready to throw it out the window and write scathing reviews about knock-off ink cartridges, and for stinking epson printers that has figured out a way to corner the market, forcing consumers to purchase their ink at totally inflated prices...whew! You saved me from a lot of bitching and complaining! THANK YOU!!!!
It worked, it worked!!!!! Thanks so much for sharing this! My Epson Stylus SX515W has always been fine with non-branded cartridges, but suddenly I got the dreaded "not recognised" message. We tried all sorts of stuff & looked online, but nothing worked. I tried your tip & whilst my printer still said it didn't recognise cartridges, at least this time it told me WHICH ONE was the problem. changed it & Voila! Happy printing on the cheap again!
Worth a try. I found packing out the bottom of the cartridge with a piece of blue tack, helped push the cartridge towards the pin/ chip connection and did the trick.
Very simple fantastic advice ,cannot thank you enough!! I thought I made a huge mistake by buying in a hurry & was very confused as to why the printer did not recognise the cartridges .. Wow🤗🤗
I just want to say. I found your video today and after nearly throwing the printer across the room 😂 i followed your insteuctions. I gad purchased a double pack of off market inks and had replaced them but cyan was giving me trouble. I folliwed instructions and removed only cyan but replaced with another new cyan, i had already put one new cyan in. Lights went out but it still wouldnt print. A nozzle clean and voila! We are back in business. Thank you so much. xx
Thanks! Worked for me after letting it sit idle for some minutes. I also remember the seller of the compatible catridge telling me to avoid updating. Appreciate the tips Epson WF-3520
Holy Crap!!! It actually worked!!! I bought a refurb magenta and it wouldn't print. The company even sent me a replacement and the second wouldn't print either. I must have cleaned the heads a dozen times. So I bought a NEW genuine cartridge and it wouldn't print!!! GRRR!!! So I tried your suggestion and wouldn't you know it, my magenta not only printed, but it printed perfectly on the print head nozzle check!!! HOORAY!!! It's probably the first time a UA-cam video actually worked. THANK YOU!!!
your the greatest man! worked for me Epson Stylus Sx425W, had the same problem but solved as instructed, however I removed one and then it was telling me that this one is missing, when inserted that, it was reading it as normal but not three others, then I did remove the other three one by one, then started to work thanks alot
This worked for me!! My printer was actually recognizing the cartridge but would print any color other than black. After completing this process it now prints all colors. Thanks
Thanks Matt! My black suddenly went out, then the remaining 3 did a few minutes later. I used your method with the black, took two tries but I am up and running.
Big Big Kiss - This worked. Have been trying (and tearing my hair out for 2 weeks. Epson could not help me. After spending $100 on new cartridges here I was with no hope of printing or getting my money back. WOW am I happy now. Have learned a lesson re: Epson.
Hi Matt. Yes me again. I have the Stylus SX130 almost new. Once the original inks ran out, I found a good supplier (I thought) and bought a pack of 4 (3 colour and 1 black) plus a free black. I put the black one in almost straight away and it worked fine. Then yesterday fitted the 3 colour ones and got "cartridges not recognised". Sent 3 colour replacements free from supplier. Same issue. Your hint here worked brilliantly! Thanks a lot. You're a God send. :)
My miscreant is the SX200, after changing one cartridge I got the dreaded this is an incompatible cartridge, purchase the Epson ones. After several more attempts the other cartridges became non-functional with same error. I did a quick google and another site said basically the same thing. This is what I did. Printer Properties / Maintenance / Ink Cartridge Replacement 1. Go through the change cartridge method, and remove all cartridges 2. Switch off the printer, have a cup of tea. (clear capacitor charges on chip / printer) 3. Switch on printer (no cartridges) let it do its thing. 4. Switch off, count to 10, and switch back on. 5. Go through change cartridge method, re-installing cartridges. 6. That’s it, worked a treat. Thanks to you and all other contributors, this is a deliberate software/firmware omission and fits into the corporate planned obsolescence theme.
This worked for me a week or so ago when I tried to replace 2 cartridges that kept coming up with the "not recognised" message. However... Nothing seems to be working for me now. I have switched off, had several cups of tea, waited overnight (twice), cleaned the chip, cleaned the pins, etc, etc, etc. This is a genuine Epson cartridge! I'm now suffering from RSI clicking the cartridge correctly into place but I am close to risking further pain by picking up the printer and throwing it out the window from a great height. Also, I have been doing a considerable amount of B&W printing recently, not a single colour print for a few weeks. Why has the yellow ink ran out? Why can't black mean black - not a mixture of all colours? I will not buy an Epson printer again.
Absolutely love this printer it was so easy to hook up and learn how to use all with the Hp smart app. It comes pre installed with ink and it gives you the option to have ink unlimited! Definitely worth the money.
I was on my way to trash and buy a new printer (almost cheaper than buying five cartridges) because NONE of the so-called compatible cartridges worked. This short video did the trick. Many thanks....
I didn't realize the XP 6100 cradle moved left 10mm to the replace position when the power was on. I was trying to do it with the power off. Thanks for the info. Niol
I have been trying for YEARS to solve this problem on all my HP's and now this new Epson XP-7100. I would usually try to take the GENUINE cartridge out and put it back in, thinking the contacts were not good. Or clean the contacts with alcohol. This SIMPLE procedure worked the FIRST TIME! Absolutely SMART, simple, fast. Matt, why didn't anyone else think of this before, ESPECIALLY STUPID company tech support. You duh mahn, Matt. Thank you Thank you Thanky you! No more wasting HOURS to try to get it to work.
Thank you for posting this - it works!! I couldn't get it to recognize one cartridge and then when it did, it wouldn't recognize another. I took those two out, leaving the other two in, followed your instructions and presto! It works!
Well done Matt, I just sent this tip to my retired Mother-in-law who's having the experiences you describe. I will let you know if this works and will certainly look at buying cartridges from refresh cartridges! Thanks for taking the time to make this film. Mark - Plymouth
Hi this worked for me - in showing me i had a faulty ((I had replaced 2, and black had been accepted and blue had not). I followed the steps, and then tried another new cartridge for blue - it worked! thank you
you've saved my sanity ... after months of rejected and wasted compatible catridges you've finally shown me how to get my Epson printer to recognise the new cartridges. Thank you sooo much :-)
I know this is 11 years old, but it worked for a freak issue I just had on a XP-600 model where I was cleaning the heads and replacing the cartridges with new non-Epson ones, and all of a sudden the printer started saying "All cartridges not recognized". Nothing I did would fix it, restart, pop out, pop in carts, etc.. Had to pull the carts while it was off, leave out and turn back on, then it complained and put them back in and voila. Weird, but it sort of worked.
Scamming companies making us pay out hand over fist for things that do not need replacing. I tried this with all 4 cartridges and it worked perfectly...Thank you so much!!!
Hey, massive thanks for this video. It did indeed get us back up and running. Only turned the printer off for about 30 seconds (didn't need cup of tea) but worked regardless. Thanks again for taking time to make this video.
Epson xp-640 using TD cartridges, replaced cartridge, didn't recognize, did not remove anything simply shut down my printer and started it up and works perfectly, just check levels when done, thanks for the help!
Yes! it worked... Im using XP 432 printer with compatible cartridges ..followed your advice and it worked!!! excellent.. great tip, and from now on Im going to buy from you chap ;) thanks again Richard
Matt I;m glad I looked at your video,I didn't know not to turn off the printer when changing cartridges, after giving up hope thinking the printer had developed a fault,I followed your advice and it was sorted. Thank you.
Thanks Matt. Tried your method but it did not solve the problem. The answer seems to play a little game with it. When "cartridge not recognized" message appears press continue and it will say "replace cartridge" press continue and lift the lid and then the cartridge. Remove cartridge indicated the needs replacing and then put it back in. Press continue. Let it start the process and when you hear the carriage move across to the left side TURN IT OFF on the power button. Don't be alarmed when it makes a lot of noise and takes awhile to finally shut down. Give it time to settle down for a minute or two and power it up again. Wella it should be fine. If it throws up another colour "not recognized" it be fine with a press of continue. It seems that interrupting the cycle allows it to charge the problem cartridge. Don't be worried if it takes a couple attempts to find the "sweet" spot in the process. My current cartridges are the refillable type from China and have chip reset contacts and should last 18 months and on their 3 & 4 fills. About US$14 a full set.
Matt! You are amazing, thank you from that little "Island" down the bottom of the map. Your advice worked, not with a cup of tea, but with a wine in hand! Cheers. And thank you.
This partially worked for me (using a WF-2835). Originally I was using a "fake" ink with no problems but found a different "fake" ink brand for half the price of even that so started to use it, initially no problems with that until the yellow ink got low and my printer refused to recognise it at all. I took it out and swapped it with the same "fake" brand but full and it worked fine, until it got low again. So using your method I was able to change the yellow inside with the other and it recognised one but not the other. Could be this particular brand that has cheap cartridges that is annoying my printer, but I'm willing to bet it's Epson themselves.
Was getting the Ink not recognized message, did what you said by turning it on with no ink cartridges in the printer, then replacing while still on. Worked perfect! Thank you :)
Hi, Thanks for this posting. You're a hero. I just fixed my printer which stopped recognising cartridges after I replaced them with the printer unplugged for the first time ever.
Absolutely worked, lol. Amazed. Every once in a great while, I get the Cartridge not recognized and got it fixed once before, but forgot how. I knew I had plenty of ink left, it showed ALL 4 cartridges itn error, but just took the Black cartridge out, turned off for 10 minutes, Turned back on, waited for prompt, woila. Save me hours
I have a new Epson XP-605 and was going to try this advice -- in fact, the printer accepted the cartridge and just gave me a warning message about reduced quality etc. If I had not seen the above video I would have just returned the cartridges. Anyone else, I urge you to try the above advice a few times before giving up. There are also other solutions on the Internet to using compatibles.
I tried your method several times to no avail. I would turn the printer off for 10-20 seconds and turn it back on, install the cartridges and nothing. I reviewed the steps and realized I was missing one step. I had not been drinking a cup of tea. Being American, I made a cup of coffee and... it worked. Unfortunately, it didn't work for me. Lol waited hours and still nothing.
I’m Russian, should I try with vodka😂✌️
Possibly waiting 5 Min allows caps / Printer memory to fully discharge. Waiting 20 Sec might not be long enough.
Thanks for this video, and your comment! I shut the printer AND my computer down for about 20 mins, and it worked!
worked for me too. No coffee. Sex. But I suppose tea and coffee work too.
i had spent 100 Euro on 5 new cartridges and could not get the printer to accept them even though they were exactly the same type of Epson cartridges as i had always used.I had resigned myself to discarding the printer having tried a number of solutions on the internet none of which worked. Then I found your easy to apply suggestions and it worked like magic. You are truly a magician ...thanks from the bottom of my heart

Amazingly simple solution!
All my inks had been rejected, but your video solved it.
Thank you so much
Perfect!! Just FOLLOW directions EXACTLY!!!! You must let the printer sit idle and OFF for 3+ minutes after you remove the carts!! Thank you, Matt.
Thank you!!! Almost threw my printer out the window but was finally able to change the cartridges with no errors!
I'm literally sitting at a store waiting them to finish thd product I paid for, but they can't because the generic printers will not work. Worked first time on my SX235W - which had refused to recognise any of my four non-Epson cartridges, it now prints/copies happily.
I was tearing my hair out as I had some urgent work to do and the printer rejected the new cartridge. This tip worked a treat. Many thanks.
Thank you, plus such a pleasure to hear someone speak English correctly!
This actually worked for me! I almost passed it up because it was posted in 2010. Very glad I didn't. And it's true, the most important step is the cup of tea.
THANK YOU! Cartridges out, power off, on, cartridges back in worked for me on Epson Workforce
To save others some time, here it is:
1. Take ink cartridge out.
2. Turn off printer.
3. Turn printer back on.
4. Put cartridge back in.

Thanks, and that narcissic says not turn of the printer when CHANGING the cartridges, when placing the new cartridge is part of the procedure "CHANGING", and then he says to turn off the printer without finishing the "REPLACING" procedure. He should teach himself to express his content correctly before posting!
Yes spot on. Just did mine doing this.
@@tomsawyer2112 No, his mind is not for rent, to any God or government...
We dont want see ur face duh we want to see how ur do it
Genuinely cannot believe this worked on my incredibly old Epson Stylus SX125. Thank you so much!
You are a star, my printer is now seeing the inks as full and is printing again. I was close to dropping it out of a first floor window!
Printer wouldn't recognise cartridge after cleaning nozzles. Tried this trick now works great. Thanks
10 years apart and this video worked for me. Cheers mate!
I tried a lot of things but turning it off w/o the cartridges and then turning it on and adding them back in actually worked! Thank you very much.
Worth a try. I found packing out the bottom of the cartridge with a piece of blue tack, helped push the cartridge towards the pin/ chip connection and did the trick.
Worked well. Thank you. You just saved me a lot of money here in Australia.
Very simple fantastic advice ,cannot thank you enough!! I thought I made a huge mistake by buying in a hurry & was very confused as to why the printer did not recognise the cartridges .. Wow🤗🤗
My go-to video when this happens on Epson XP6100 - works a treat. Thanks Matt!
Appreciate the tips
Epson WF-3520
I was about to put on my coat and boots to fight through the Chicago snow to buy a new printer. Your advice saved the day!!! Thank you!
Thanks. Printer rejected Sublimation cartridges. Your tip worked a treat. Thanks again.
It´s my second day of trying different things and nothing worked but I followed your video and It worked
My miscreant is the SX200, after changing one cartridge I got the dreaded this is an incompatible cartridge, purchase the Epson ones.
After several more attempts the other cartridges became non-functional with same error.
I did a quick google and another site said basically the same thing. This is what I did.
Printer Properties / Maintenance / Ink Cartridge Replacement
1. Go through the change cartridge method, and remove all cartridges
2. Switch off the printer, have a cup of tea. (clear capacitor charges on chip / printer)
You're a Godsend!! I did not remember to change the cartridges with the printer ON!! doh!! It works now!!
Thank you! My EPSON wasn't reading my Epson cartridge....followed your steps and it worked!
I had the same problem with original Epson cartridges and your trick worked! - Thank you
Absolutely love this printer it was so easy to hook up and learn how to use all with the Hp smart app.
I followed the steps, and then tried another new cartridge for blue - it worked! thank you
Thanks a million I had a bundle load of cartridges that didn't work but now thanks to your advice my printer is now working fine. Thanks again!!
Worked like a charm. My printer was off when I originally changed the ink cartridge. Thank you!
you've saved my sanity ... after months of rejected and wasted compatible catridges you've finally shown me how to get my Epson printer to recognise the new cartridges. Thank you sooo much :-)
1st grade school project emergency and you saved the day. You're awesome. You're a superhero. You're an awesome superhero! Thank
Just amazing! Thank you for this tip! I was literally pulling my hair out at one point, but now it all works perfectly!
Hey, massive thanks for this video. It did indeed get us back up and running. Only turned the printer off for about 30 seconds (didn't need cup of tea) but worked regardless. Thanks again for taking time to make this video.
Thank you . Totally worked and fixed my 13 year old epson CX 5400. Which I love since I only have to pay about 2 bucks a cartridge online.
Epson xp-640 using TD cartridges, replaced cartridge, didn't recognize, did not remove anything simply shut down my printer and started it up and works perfectly, just check levels when done, thanks for the help!
Yes! it worked... Im using XP 432 printer with compatible cartridges ..followed your advice and it worked!!! excellent.. great tip, and from now on Im going to buy from you chap ;)
thanks again Richard
Matt I;m glad I looked at your video,I didn't know not to turn off the printer when changing cartridges, after giving up hope thinking the printer had developed a fault,I followed your advice and it was sorted.
Thank you.
Liking and commenting so I remember where to buy cartridges from next time. This helped a lot, thanks.
Hey man we had trouble with our Epson not recognising it's own cartridge. Your advice worked we did as you said and it works! You sir are a legend!
Matt! You are amazing, thank you from that little "Island" down the bottom of the map. Your advice worked, not with a cup of tea, but with a wine in hand! Cheers. And thank you.
Works every time....Thank you so much Matt. I highly recommend you subscribe to Matt's channel folks!!!
Thank you. I couldn’t get my printer to work for a week and this worked!
Thank you :)
just tryed this with none genuine ink and it worked thank you
Yes! For my WF-2650. Simple. Had worked so well for years now with fake ink. Then suddenly no. Thanks very much!
Hi, Thanks for this posting. You're a hero. I just fixed my printer which stopped recognising cartridges after I replaced them with the printer unplugged for the first time ever.
Thank you! This resulted in a message saying "nongenuine in cartridges. Do you wish to continue using them?" I said yes, and they work :)
