- I was tired of not having any good place to put my tooling for the lathe and wanted to make something that looked like it was actually part of the machine. This was a little more difficult that it would seem to be but none the less a great project for a weekend.

You could drill some holes in the right side where center is then put 2 or 3 different centers standing up right to conserve space

Awesome
flawless work jimbo
Must say Jimbo its the smallest of ideas and details that can make such a difference and also makes working a pleasure
“Got a fan there for the haters.” 😂
Is it just me, or could anyone else here him hit the punch for the holes, even though you couldn't hear him hit the punch?
My brain: tink...tink...tink...tink!! 🤣🤣🤣
Fantastic and inspiring video as always!
Only people with a shop, no matter how big or small, can understand how boring it is just the idea of upgrading your shop with those minute, but necessary modifications. Shelfs, racks, wall organizer... jeez. You know you need it, it just get postponed to eternity, but you made it look so pleasant to make that I will surely consider the idea of probably making a couple of shelfs one day 😆
I do the same thing, I build/repair items for orders and customers, and im constantly looking at how I can improve my shop for ease of use and organization, it's nice when you get caught up on other people's stuff and are able to make some things for yourself. Nice job as always. Have a great day!
Excellent job, great colour match for your lathe lamp. Looking forward to next videos these type are my favourite
Jimbo, you do real nice work......I don't care what anyone says! ;)
Nice work! I might do the exact same thing on my lathe.
Admiração diretamente do Brasil! 👏👏👏🙏
Nice little project!! Keep up with the great videos and the excellent work you do. Have a great day.
JIMBO! hey you doin bud? Lathes are never ending projects man. Theres always room for improvements somewhere. Hope your doing alright, didnt sound as cheerful as you normally do. As always great work and i look forward to your next project 👍
Great video I wanted to do that for a long time, what stops me is that we have a lot of surface rust here in Houston so I would need a lid that makes things complicated. Also my Dorian style toolholder have more surface to get rusted.
👍🏻👍🏻.
Thanks for sharing great video. What attachment and disc are you using on your grinder? For the first time I used a Norton non-woven disc "Rapid Strip" for removing mill scale and it was amazing. Not sure how it compares to other products and methods for that use for the cost but so far I'm happy I found it. Used the "Blaze" version as well but made the mistake of abusing it on sharp parts.
F##@ the fan he's getting his daily dose of iron
Something his body needs
What was the brand name grinder you were using ?.
It would be interesting to see if you would like the result from Pask Makes here on YT. He did a wood jig combined with a metal saw to make boxs with some nice crisp bent corners with little to no welding.
