loving it omgggg. The surveyor idea is so good too, it makes a lot of sense. It could also be a company that wants to purchase a location but I'm just blabbering cause I like the game :P
Looking good! Fun to see the game come together. I'd consider having an option to reduce or remove the camera flash. If playing in a dark room, with a big bright screen, or if you're a person with light sensitivity, it can be startling - quite the opposite of the intended game experience.
object could provide more than one service. like a vending machine provides some utility and deco. same with a garden. Maybe a spotlight provides a massive bonus to light and a little bit of utility, but takes away some decorum. could provide some interesting gameplay trying to weight the pros and cons of objects
I like the idea with the government worker, but being nitpicky I would be scared that this is perhaps not a role that people might want to take on? Similar to how certain positions are just viewed negatively sometimes, like being a landlord for example. I don't think this totally stands in the way of that idea, I just feel like it is something to keep in mind, to make sure that this kind of dissonance doesn't arise within players. Maybe you can counter it with how you write the story to show that the character you play as is likable, instead of being a bothersome financing official (to use hyperbole here :D)
Yeah true. I am very wary about that and I don't think I'll even mention it too much except at the start of the game where you get your "assignment" with list of locations to visit. Nobody is out there thinking "finally, a game where I can play a government worker!" haha, right?
Oh yeah it's all coming together. I hope i make it in the play test. I'm really interested how this all plays out!

You made the notebook idea work! I was hoping it would make its return someday
Game is looking nice.
And your meme game is on point.
This game keeps looking better and better with every devlog. Can't wait to play it
Good idea! I can do some bindable keys for those choices. Plus I want to add controller support so it'd make sense!

Do you know that you have a finished game there already? "Tiny Glade for Japanese Kofi Baristas"

Will it be possible to build buildings ontop of eachother, and make a tower of houses, if you know what i mean?
Yes
Oh yes of course. They automatically generate support beams to hold themselves up!
