One of the things that is fascinating (to me anyway) is the sheer variety of the make up of some of the trains - there's a Bulleid pacific with green, maroon & blue/grey coaches in the rake behind. That's something that can only be seen in footage such as this. Thank you for sharing.
Brings back memories, my last travel on mainline steam was late 1965 to early 1966 from Woking to Waterloo and back twice a week, it was always behind a Bulleid. I never gave it a thought at the time that it would all be over in 1967!
Fantastic yet a sad time of demise of southern steam, reminds me of my holiday in Bournemouth in 1966,travelling to the station to do some train spotting on Bournemouth’s wonderful Trolleybuses also sadly no longer in existence, thank you for sharing 👍
Remarkable that they were using steam power for passenger trains pretty much right up to the end of steam. That's not how it was in the US at all - steam got pretty quickly pushed off passenger trains in favor of much cleaner diesels and electrics.
Brilliant!! Colour And sound 😊

Thank you for sharing this with us all, it's so important that these rarities are not lost!
Lovely work, Sir. Even better that you have the actual audio too. Superb.
Great to see all these wonderful locos l rode behind some of the last few in 1967 so sad to see them all disappear thanks for the memories 🚂
Why is it sad. It is great to see these locos were recycled into useful scrap metal when not needed.
Brilliant! It's so nice to see the whole train filmed
Wonderful. Thankyou for posting!
Fantastic film, thanks for sharing it

authentic soundtrack? nice, you can tell, it isn't that 'authentic sounds library'.
Old friends.
Fantastic
Steam still runs on nuclear submarines. And Power Plants.En Argentina🇦🇷 tiraron a la basura todo el parque vapor en 1963: Error.
