Root Beer Chert Part 1/9, Initial Reduction with Hammerstone Direct Percussion

  • As voted by 15 of you in my first community poll on this channel, here is the first phase of working down this large flat nodule of beautiful Root Beer Chert from central Texas, beating out the pastel Rainbow Obsidian with a score of 10-5. It's my first time working this stuff, and dang, it works like a dream. Going to have to buy a lot more of this stuff soon!

    Just a bit of advice for next time you work root beer, it's a bit masochistic and likes to be hit hard with a focused hammerstone strike
