Wow I wasn't expecting that! Whatever you decide to do you need to find it enjoyable and not have it turn into a chore. I go along with whatever you decide but maybe bury a survival kit with a battery to keep it safe from attack just in case you lose the rover?
No, i also wasn't. i dont tend to find many thing in this game a chore the biggest difficulty is having enough power to be able to drive
Those drones fight dirty, destroying the base without even warning you! RIP the to the mining rig. Such a shame to lose it, it was a really cool design. I would have rage quit and reverted to the last save.
Id vote salvage what remains of the base, explore till you find ice. Full nomad, bases are too vulnerable to attack. Build a little hydrogen powered flying miner to collect resources.
The final goal could be a bigger large grid rover covered in turrets with a drill arm and hanger for the miner and construction vehicle. A lift for an exploration vehicle or a tank. The drill shaft could be wide enough to fly the mining ship inside the bore hole to access the rest of the ore. A crane and a grind pit for salvaging enemy grids could be cool too. The tricky part is just getting enough power and traction that the behemoth isn't too heavy to drive.
yea do indeed, no point in rage quitting i make my worlds harder to play for this sort of challenge. i like the sound of your plan. ill have to look in to making some designs and come back stronger
No defenses at base is pretty hopeful thinking. 😁
