It's strange to think that Kurt Cobain was born 1967, he'd be 54 now. Holy shit.
Weird to think next year Foo Fighters will have been a band longer than Kurt was alive
he was only born 3 years after my mom.. that freaks me out dude.. one of the best voices in Rock music, ever.
Also strange that he's the same age as R.Kelly. It's crazy
@@Stefan_Gerards Why does that freak you out?
Tell me about it. I was in my early 30’s when he died, and now I’m pushing 60. Seems like yesterday when all this happened. The 90’s feel like only a decade ago, to me.
Imagine the shock watching this live...
Did he just say "acid Rock"?
I remember watching on Fox News when they announced Chester Bennington had died and Andy Griffith as well
@@carolinecarter8910 same. But I saw the news on MTV when Chester died. but In the end, It does matter.

Crazy how quickly television has changed.
Not really, they still spun up crazy stories back then too just the availability of information wasn't like it is today. Another thing the rock stars are nothing like they was, still good bands but different vibe.
I feel like I’m time travelling
Liberals are to blame for that change in media…

“Singer Elvis Presley has died in a hospital of a respiratory ailment.”
Nice of them to not tell us right off the bat he actually died on the toilet.
Yes and he said 45 yo tho elvis died 42 yo
@SlayFNX ah so that was his throne?
@SlayFNX We love Elvis but his drug abuse was out of control. That’s why he died on the toilet. The opioids made him constipated and his heart was weak, while straining on the Komod he had a massive heart attack and died. He had seriously damaged his body
It’s actually common for people to die on the toilet because you don’t feel good so you go to the bathroom to take a shit or vomit
He was on the floor next to the toilet. Not on it or some chair like someone said.
Kinda disturbing how the lady announced Laine's death like it was the weather...
Edit: *Layne, thanks to everyone in the comments
well he did want it to rain when he died
She probably wasn't a fan of the music.
Sand rains down where he lays.
Because media Karens and kens only see a satanic junky

I’m glad I was able to see Pantera in ‘96. I remember seeing Cobains death in that clip. I found out on MTV news before that clip on evening news. I cried and went to the music store. They had a new incense burning that they were going to release later that week. It was called Nirvana. I re bought Nevermind and they gave me a black ribbon. I put it in the case and had it for years before someone stole it. It was worth something to me so I was upset by it.
Ouh I can feel the pain💔💔
I saw Pantera open for Black Sabbath in 1999.. In Las Vegas. I was 16 years old and rocking..
I just got into Pantera a little over a year ago and when I found out Dime was dead I didn't hit me as hard as It should have, but watching all the documentaries and videos, I hurt. I was told I can't cry over his death since I was born in 2005, but I kinda can't help it. He IS my favorite guitarists and my all time hero. RIP brother.🤘
@@cosmopolitanredneck All time great he as and is. Not to brag, but saw pantera 10 times. 10. They were THAT good. If the Abbott brothers were still alive....I would have seen them 10 more. You picked a great one to listen to.
I saw Pantera in '96 as well. I remember when Kurt died, saw it on MTV news right as my dad called me to tell me. I didn't cry, but I never got to see them perform.
Randy and Eddie’s guitars kicked ass man. They will be missed.
And dimebag

Randy Rhoads and Chuck Schuldiner, too.

It's bad when ABC give Eddie Van Halen more coverage than the Grammy's did in their little yearly remembrance montage.
The Grammys don’t know genre or talent,
Fuck Grammy's
Tbh I would rather they did what they did rather than try to and poorly pander to our audience y’know? Like could you imagine how bad and forced it would be if they had a top 100s artist up there?

Yeah that's really sad
To be fair.. From what I hear.. Elvis did like them young .. His wife was 15 when he met her and brought her back from Germany was she not? He was in his 20s I believe.
I remember hearing about Kurt’s death on my Walkman in ‘94 on the school bus. I was absolutely stunned
I didn't have a Walkman in 1994.. I was 1 years old. 😂 When I did find out and understand about Kurt though, I was sad.
Fun fact: Eddie did the “Beat it” solo for Michael Jackson for 2 six-packs of beer. 🤘👍 RIP to them both.
Actually it was for free
Why didnt he just buy a 12 pack

Then Lukifer did the rest
David Bowie's passing was a huge shock as well. Back then nobody knew he was that ill. His last album was realesed just two days before he died. RIP Bowie.
I got into Bowie in 2015 in my 20's & I was hurt when I heard the news. Sad, he was not only a good musician but he was a fantastic Actor. If you haven't seen The Prestige I highly recommend it. I would bet $ you wouldn't be able to spot Bowie your 1st time watching.
His death was the first of many from a horrible 2016.
I wonder what Ozzy’s initial reaction was to when the plane crashed while he was in the bath
"SHAROOOOON"
@@danplaysguitar6706 I laughed wayyyy to hard at this 😆
Ozzy was not in the bath when the plane crashed according to his book. he was sleeping in his tour bus w/ Sharon when the plane (w/ Randy Rhoads and Rachel Youngblood) crashed in a house nearby. Ozzy actually had the balls to inspect the wreckage to see if Randy and Rachel were still alive but in the process did manage to save a deaf man.

It's strange how coldly some of them announce a human being's sudden death/suicide

I’m surprised they didn’t add Bon Scott’s death news coverage. It’s definitely on UA-cam

I was just finishing up online school the day Eddie Van Halen died, and my dad comes in telling me mom said Eddie Van Halen died, and I thought she was just trying to get me to come downstairs, but she wasn’t joking.
