I just bought a Naturehike Tagar 1 Tent for summer bike and backpacking for £53. But is it just £53 of junk or do you get what you pay for?
Here's a link to the tent: amzn.to/2OeY2P7

I bought my first ever tent last Saturday a Nature Hike Cloud Up 2 in Forest Green. I was out earlier today erecting it & I am well impressed can’t wait to go wild camping in it.
Great tents for the money Stuart, should serve you well, happy camping ( soon I hope ) !
@@AndrewParkOutdoors I was originally going to get a Burghaus but I not keen on the colour red & I watched lots of positive reviews on UA-cam on the NatureHike Tents. So far it’s one of the best things I’ve ever bought I just tried out my Exped Flex Mat to lie on with plenty of free space left & even thou it’s a bit chilly in the North East I had to take my hat off to cool down you quickly warm up even with the door unzipped & air vent open 🥵 🏕😊
A nice acquisition Andrew. I bought the Targar 2 Navy blue around 9 months ago to try out. 85 quid delivered. It is bomb proof at low altitude . The trade off is the condensation possibilities . TBH . The 2 times I have used it it was not a issue. And the pack weight ticks all the boxes.. Superb info. as usual. Stay safe Bro.. All the best..
Thanks, that's god to know, i take a j-cloth just in case but love single skins for the space. It's a small price to pay.
When I commented on Facebook I knew the review was pending. Thanks and I look forward to future videos.
Cheers Martyn.
Thank you for your review 👍 Rob
it seems to tick all boxes as per my needs (basically an ultralight tent around 100 Euro)
except i am a bit worried about the single wall (hybrid) construction
do you think it will do fine in light snow/frost? I most camp around 2500 m elevation in swiss alps
I like the naturehike tents I have a opluas3 and it done us proud on really bad weather held up really well 👍Atb take care.
Hi Tracy, Good to hear, I think this is my first naturehike ( just realised after all these years ) :-)
Hello Andrew. Another good review. Can I ask you a question. What do you do with all these tents. 👍
Sell them as quick as I buy them ( except for the favourites ) !
Wow. Give me a shout what you are selling. My daughter and husband may be looking for a two person tent soon. They are just starting out. 👍
Nice review Andrew, looks like excellent value. Already a slight increase in the price. Take care 👍🏻
Yes just checked, I know 5 people bought one from my referral so no surprise I guess !
The Phoenix Preeranger design raises again. Think I bought mine in early 80s in the UK did some travelling with that one was a much appreciated dark green.
Trekker tent in Scotland make an almost exact copy with a few improvements.
Good shout David, What goes around, comes around !
Gotta embrace the madness, I'm right there with ya! Cheers from Norway 😂😄
Cheers, oh to be in Norway right now !
Looks great for summer hike... 👍👍👍
For the weight, in the right conditions, it looks good. 👍👍
Yes for the easy 3 season treeline stuff its ideal I think.
I think combined with a tarp to extend the vestibule in fairer weather (so that you can have the door open) it would be good, otherwise, a single wall is going to condensate badly - as per most of the review comments report. I recently bought some very lightweight camo tarp (4ft by 6ft) for a few pounds off Ebay, so I'd be looking to attach something like that.
Nice looking tent though. I like both the green and the blue but already have a Helm 1 Compact - so no need to buy a tent with the same design. You did well to get it for £53, cheapest I've seen is £69 off Amazon and buying from sites like Aliexpress now comes with 20% extra tax at the checkout. I'm now wishing I'd snapped up a few more items (such as the Lanshan or the Cloud Peak) prior to Jan 1st 2021.
Yes good shout, i can see me propping the door with a walking pole at least.
Nice review as always Andrew. Can I ask. How small can this compress to.
Hi Brian, Separate the poles out and you'll get it to the size of a nalgene bottle roughly. Atb A
@@AndrewParkOutdoors thanks Andrew.
great review - is it worth buying the taga 2? it looks like the only difference is 35cm wider
Yes Dave, give you a bit more lux and condensation control
Keep up the great video's Andrew as I'm new to this although been camping for years what's the best stuff for bike packing in Ayrshire
As long as its light and packs small you cant go far wrong! A
I was looking at the 2-man one last year but went with the double-skinned Mongar 2 instead because of Melon Bites channel. The Mongar is a copy of the Hubba Hubba NX but uses much less good quality materials (and colours) 👍
Good choice!
For the money you cant go wrong , will suit bikepacking in the better weather . Looks similar material to the Lanshans ?
Yes pretty similar 20d sily/poly i think, I reckon it will tear easily but it isn't going to get high hill stuff !
oh i thought they stopped making this due to tarpTent rainbow patent.. the price has gone up naturally.. but hopefully it drops down again at some point.. great summer/beginner tent
Interesting! Didn't know that, maybe that's why they are selling them off cheap.
@@AndrewParkOutdoors that's what i thought but aliExpress has a 2021 edition.. so who knows what's going on
Looks like a great tent for the money. I did see this when I was looking for a tent but couldn't find many reviews so I went for the Cloud Up 2.
Bargain mate. There are certainly some little companies giving the big boys a run for their money right now. Be great to see it in the hills. ⛺️
Nice viedo.
Thankyou!
125 euro as we speak :(
Inflation! ;-)
@@AndrewParkOutdoors greedy bastards you mean hehe
Thanks for the review, great price for what you get👍. You must have mair tents than Tiso.
They come and they go :-)
