    *By functional I mean you can comfortably swing or carry it **bestgym.equipment** around as one would expect of a kettlebell weight. By versatile I mean the protective coating does not prevent attaching magnetic micro-plates to increase the weight, so, for example, a 35 pound kettlebell can be increased by up to 5 pounds in weight or possibly a bit more by attaching magnetic micro-plates.*

    You don't want to "lose body fat" before building muscle - muscle IS what helps you burn body fat faster. Don't make the mistake of avoiding building muscle or else you will make it much more difficult on yourself than it has to be!

    That is very generous. People don't have to donate, just help us spread the word about Fitness Blender - the best thing you guys can do is share us on your Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, etc. We love what we do, so 99% of the time it doesn't feel like work. Thank you for your very nice message.

    ... If you're a beginner only do one of three rounds and see how your body feels the next day ... When I started this routine, I did all 3 rounds the first time, and I could barely walk for a few days ... I use 15lb kettlebells, but I'm 5'11" and 210 lbs ...

    You can try 1 round for say 2-3 weeks and try 2 rounds later when you will be stronger.In beginning it could be harder but you will become fitter.Do things step by step in workouts :)

    I got a kettlebell for christmas (25lbs) and done your fitness blenders everyother day or so mixing in weightlifting days. I hate running so i do your kettlebell circuits on off days. LOVE IT. the way it hits my core instead of running and sit-ups is so dynamic and satisfying. IN SOVIET RUSSIA BELL KETTLE YOU!

    This is probably one of the best kettlebell routines on UA-cam. I’ve been practicing it for 3+ years by now and when I got familiar with it, I increased the weights. I wouldn’t call it a “beginner’s workout” though! 😂

    Love this workout!! Just a caution to beginners tho...I tried to do all three rounds first time around after being sedate for years....could barely walk and put myself back three weeks before I tried again. Go slow and THEN work up both in speed, weight and rounds if you have to. This is probably the best kettlebell workout for beginners I have found on the internet! Thank you for posting!!!

    Definitely not a loser! Do what you can, and try to push yourself a little further each time. It's smart to listen to your body and pushing past that point where it says "NO more" like it means it can easily result in injury or overtraining. If your form starts to suffer, that's a sign you need to stop. Maybe combine a round of this with some of our videos from our beginner workouts (most of them are deceptively difficult but easier in terms of strain on the body) & eventually work your way up.

  • @fitnessblender
    @fitnessblender  12 років тому

    Hi there I am not sure whether or not that combo of routines is suitable for you, because I would have to know a lot more about you to make that call. With that said, it sounds like an aggressive & motivated plan that will definitely result in weight loss (with healthy eating, of course) but I don't see anything about a day or two of rest - you need that. You can start losing weight in your first week of diet & exercise. Keep me posted, good luck to you! -Kelli

  • @fitnessblender
    @fitnessblender  12 років тому

    That's a great idea. We haven't made any DVDs yet but it is definitely an option for the (possibly near) future, so keep an eye out. There's also a simple plug in for computers/phones that takes whatever is on your screen & puts it up on your tv. That's what we use & it works well.

  • @fitnessblender
    @fitnessblender  12 років тому

    Get started!! Right now, today! I am glad that you have picked us out of all of the options out there and I hope that we will be a great deal of help to you while you pursue your goals. I would say that kettlebell training is pretty close to cardio. However, you could always combine it with another kind of lower intensity cardio (walking, swimming, elliptical, etc) if you want to burn additional calories. Keep us updated, good luck! Kelli

  • @fitnessblender
    @fitnessblender  12 років тому

    Thank you. Three times a week is good. You want to treat it like any other kind of training, if you are lifting heavy and getting sore muscles from the workout, you will want to give yourself a break inbetween.

  • @fitnessblender
    @fitnessblender  12 років тому

    It's completely fine that it's a different kind of kettlebell, the only thing that I would worry about is that you may want some variety in weight for different exercises. We have many kettlebell workouts, make sure you check them all out so you get lots of variety.

    Another great workout from you guys. In particular, Daniel's clear and excellent comments throughout, reminding to keep back straight and to watch your lower back etc. These are the kind of things I need to be reminded on and that is one reason why Fitnessblender is my go-to workout provider, apart from running etc. Kelli is also super great and the two of you combined work magic! Thank you from the UK.

  • @fitnessblender

    The weight of your KB is completely personal to how it feels for you. Go to the store & do a few different exercises with them to see how they feel - choose one that feels challenging by rep 12-16. As a side note, we use adjustable KB's which are great because then they can grow with you as you progress. Congrats to you for wanting to get stronger.

    Almost any of our workouts are for getting rid of belly fat! It takes an overall reduction in body fat (you can't spot reduce) so for that I would recommend any of our HIIT workouts, our regular cardio workouts, and functional strength training.

    If you are worried about injuries, you should work to build up your core strength before starting any kettlebell training. You could also start with very light weight until you get used to the motions.

  • @fitnessblender
    @fitnessblender  12 років тому

    I didn't run your numbers but you can find a free bmi calc online to get a rough idea...though those don't take into account lean muscle or bone density. Worry less about weight loss and more about just being healthy.

  • @fitnessblender
    @fitnessblender  11 років тому +1

    Most definitely. You need to listen to your body as it will tell you when you have gone to far. You are probably using too much weight or your form is breaking down as you get tired. Take your time in progressing with this exercise.

      BestWayLoseBellyFat Exercise doesn't do much for weight loss
      The amount of exercise is disproportionate to the food. eg, to work off just a couple of Cookies it takes a good hour + of tough work. Best just not to eat the 🍪. Nutrition & exercise are Key...

    For those with lower back problems avoid the straight leg dead lift, figure 8s and, to a lesser extent, bent over rows. They all put tremendous strain on the lower back area.
    I usually sub around the worlds or halos for those segments.

    I found a kettle bell in my loft that weighs 5kg. I only managed to do round one today but I REALLY enjoyed it! More than any other exercise I've ever done. I'm sweating like mad and I can feel my muscles burning but at the same time, I'm not overly tired. Can't wait to keep this up :-) I hope I can get on to round two and then three real soon!

    More kettlebell workouts please! I did this outside and it's pretty cold but I still built up a sweat! :)
