Staccato perfection without rival. I had this on repeat so often when COVID hit in the United States and we’d just brought our daughter home after she was born February ‘20. My Ella ❤, you’ll always have Daddy’s love to no end. Kristi, you will too. 🥺
Every time I hear this song it always sounds like I'm hearing it for the first time. It doesn't get old. Her talent too pure for earth, she's probably an angel in the choir for heaven. Only the good die young
Speaking of angels, there's a vocalist called Angelina Jordan. She's got a pure heart, like an angel. She performs barefoot in tribute to poor people who can't afford shoes. Coincidentally her name derives from angel and coincidentally her tone is similar to Amy's.
Fuck, I miss her. She was on another level when it comes to vocals, even vocal coaches studies her to teach students(and themselves). I know because I'm a vocalist myself. This woman had pipes like no other.
Music is an evolution, musicians learn from the past and create something new. Amy contributed greatly to the evolution of music, but music doesn't stop at one place. You should find your own style.
i truly truly believe that she would have become one of the all time greats had she lived....were talking mount rushmore of female vocalists......add her songwriting ability, shes just so damn good.
Eleanor Neale posted a really well done video on Amy today and I had to come watch this one again a few times. I've probably watched this a thousand times over the years. What a legendary artist! Love Amy forever ❤
RIP beautiful. After 30 years of drinking, today I celebrate 2 years alcohol free. I know nobody could stop you like nobody could stop me. I just wish you were still here. I love your voice. Your music. Your style. I sang this song at Kareoke. I understand.
Her story is probably one of the saddest I've ever known. Her talent was stratospheric, yet it couldn't compensate for the love she so desperately craved. If you close your eyes you can hear how she makes love to the song. Amy was so damn relatable, plucking away at your heart strings. She may have been you in an early stage of your life. But you had the support you needed to climb out of that pit. She didn't; every single person around her was a complete parasite. You just wanted to snatch her away from her bad influences and terrible choices. Yet here we are, listening to a legend instead. Probably the most tragic "celebrity death" in a generation. Truly devastating.
MIFNP They chewed her up and spit her out... So young and so deep... All people see are drugs and " a messy person" She died on my birthday.. July 23rd So did my day.. She was a bright star that burned out so quickly.. But all the songs that she wrote..and sang , with go on forever💙💜💚
It's so crazy to think that much talent is just gone. It's been so long and her music is still listened to and loved. Idk in detail what happened to her but I know a disease called addiction doesn't help a single person. Rip to her. Thankfully we got blessed atleast with the music. It'll live on forever.
Im here for it...I miss Amy ..one of the best in the game...can't wait to May 17 to see the movie...I'm praying that they did her justice and good quality... continue to rest my Queen ❤
I miss you Amy. You brought a sound and feel to your music that hasn’t been felt since you left. Pure soul talent. Nobody can do it better than THE AMY WINEHOUSE 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 rest in the highest heavens beauitful 💚
Effortless. Flawless. Pitch perfect. Absolutely the best version of this song. Period. Good luck to whoever tries to cover this...thats a special voice y'all...
I hate these comments about “who’s still listening in 2020” dude music is timeless. You never stop listening to what you love or enjoy. A lot of people are still listening to things they’ve always enjoyed. People listen to music that’s 100 years old on the daily. Again, it’s timeless. Well still be listening in 2045
+PinkSmarties72 Yes she did, but the drugs and alcohol took over her life. I wish that she was still here creating beautiful music. Her voice was absolutely spellbinding.
She did know but she thought no one cared - Everyone used her for her money that her talent brought.... No one liked her cause she was talented, only Amy did. Amy loved herself when she knew her own talent - Then she forgot how talented she was and started going downhill
She knew but like a real artist, never gave herself full credit. She never pushed anything out that was less than her standards and never forced her work. She was hard on herself and couldn't handle how ugly fame was to her. An old soul, she was not made for this cruel world, her sweet heart of gold. Depression takes the best of us. Rest your head, babe.
I wish, but sadly she would probably have cancelled it due to some personal struggle, be it a drug binge or being too drunk :( i love her music so much, shes a gem of a talent, but she was incredibly unreliable and tended to cancel things :(
Accoustic guitar, and nothing more. You can't cheat here. When this sound comes out of your mouth (and heart and soul), you re someone special and you ve worked for it.
I will say its pure truth. Its so rare your body/soul has missed it for so long that tears flow. I can't explain it well but whenever i hear something i fully believe as utter truth connected to a strong emotion like distress or fear or love pr joy... i cry.
The thing is: she passed away so young. We'll never have a voice like that ever again meaning we'll never get to hear new stuff, I'll never get to see her live, buy her album the day it came out, see her on TV, etc.
I got teased by this song because of my name…little did I know an amazing and talented artist and singer was on the end of that song! Every since that introduction to Amy Winehouse I am all in! Her skills are unmatched IMO!
Are y’all kidding rn, this wasn’t effortless, she’s literally struggling with addiction. Showing all the signs but she powered through. Literally was a strong and amazing person to still deliver this performance.
I too struggled with many addictions. I'm now clean and sober for almost 20 years. I do get moments of weakness I'll admit, but music such as this always sees me through. Try these guys too. Great Australian blues band called The Tesky Brothers. White guts that sing like African American blues artists. Damn amazing to be honest. My favs are pain and misery and hold me. Enjoy
One of the things that moves me so much is watching her really start to get that restless shake going there for a bit.. (one I know well).. but the moment that nice and smooth pre-chorus to chorus began, it was like that calming flow just took her outta that awful place and she just was transported into the soothing, natural, comforting "home" of the music. ....you could almost *see* her being lifted out of that distracted, restless place as she just let herself become present and fully immersed in the vibe and the song. It was almost as if you could SEE it healing her. I wish it could've healed her even longer. Your voice is missed, Amy.

cap i could sing jus like this ez no cap
there will never be another like Amy that's forsure!
Auto tune isn’t always a bad thing but yeah I love it
Beast!
I may have listened to this version hundreds of times, but it will always move me deeply.
I do cry to this
Weird emotions of happiness and sadness when I hear this song. She was so absurdly talented. RIP AMY
@@johnyboy19685I do as well. I get chills and then the tears fall soon after
She was so humble and unique. I love this version. I miss you Amy, love you forever ❤

R.I.P AMY WINEHOUSE
Everyone used her, abused her , then left her to die! She was crying out for genuine love and compassion, She deserved so much better 🖤
They didn’t leave her to die, they murdered her.
pls try this - its a real nice version from VALERIE

She could have said no
@@hannahellen12 my sister said the same thing
I thought her father BEGGED her to go back to rehab? To try to do something about her substance abuse problem.
She reaches right into your soul & takes a piece of it...a true artist...so smooth & effortlessly...
Yes a true artist ! ❤️
Thinking the same
I still miss you. What a beautiful singer!!!
Staccato perfection without rival. I had this on repeat so often when COVID hit in the United States and we’d just brought our daughter home after she was born February ‘20.
My Ella ❤, you’ll always have Daddy’s love to no end. Kristi, you will too. 🥺
God what a beautiful person and singer. Her voice was hauntingly beautiful, I still get the chills. Rip beautiful.
Ditto.
Yes always
Miss you beautiful!One of a kind!!!!Love you Amy!!!Hauntingly beautiful voice!!!!!RIP Beautiful!!!💔❤💧😥🙏
My God. Hmm, hmm, hmm. She didn't know what she had. Look liked she's got that junkie itch, hair all matted, emaciated. Yet that voice. . .
Want be my friend?
2020 and this is where I start off my year listen to Amy 🥰
Diamond Kisses 👌🏽
Me too! Love this girl.! Miss her voice.😎❤
Nunca será esquecida ♥️
@@patcoveney8863 Me, too. Just found in 2019, who cares, she gave strength, when she is at her worst, strength beyond...
Its never too late she's a gem
Who is still here in 2023. One of the best who ever done it! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
No Words can explain my heart ❤ listening to this. You only get to have this once in a lifetime other than Whitney. RIP Beloved
Every time I hear this song it always sounds like I'm hearing it for the first time. It doesn't get old. Her talent too pure for earth, she's probably an angel in the choir for heaven. Only the good die young
Came here to post something similar. But you worded it beautifully🖤
she will never die
Speaking of angels, there's a vocalist called Angelina Jordan. She's got a pure heart, like an angel. She performs barefoot in tribute to poor people who can't afford shoes. Coincidentally her name derives from angel and coincidentally her tone is similar to Amy's.
She died at 27 she meet the devil at the crossroads and made a deal unfortunately
Facts
This is timeless. Im sure I’ve watched it hundreds of times over the years.
Classic, talented, and a waste of beautiful talent.
I watch it often.
Same here. This is the best version
Every time I watch it, I watch it 10 times😅😁
Drunk again. Luv u Amy. 💓
We are all here. We never stop loving this generational talent.
This is on loop in my brain and has been for years. Beautiful.
Fuck, I miss her. She was on another level when it comes to vocals, even vocal coaches studies her to teach students(and themselves). I know because I'm a vocalist myself. This woman had pipes like no other.
I don't think she realized what she had.
me too
Music is an evolution, musicians learn from the past and create something new. Amy contributed greatly to the evolution of music, but music doesn't stop at one place. You should find your own style.
And to think she was kicked out of a music school because she refused to conform her voice to their standards .
ABSOLUTELY 💯🎯
I've possibly watched this a hundred times.
Beautiful.
Back again 2 weeks later.
Yeah, i know what you mean. Such a great song.
same
Yes yes it is. I just lost my grandfather this week and this songs really helped me out
Me too.. so many times.
i truly truly believe that she would have become one of the all time greats had she lived....were talking mount rushmore of female vocalists......add her songwriting ability, shes just so damn good.
Congratulations for 2 years
Bravo on 2 years and 2 months ♥️🙌
my dad used to drink too and no one could stop him either. now he is alcohol free for more than 10 years I guess. congrats
👏👏👏👏👏
@@rodrigosantarem1 addiction is terrible. I’m glad he’s sober.
MIFNP
They chewed her up and spit her out...
So young and so deep...
All people see are drugs and " a messy person"
She died on my birthday.. July 23rd
So did my day..
She was a bright star that burned out so quickly..
But all the songs that she wrote..and sang , with go on forever💙💜💚
Well put.
MIFNP 😓😢😢😢
true that
Beautiful synopsis
It's so crazy to think that much talent is just gone. It's been so long and her music is still listened to and loved. Idk in detail what happened to her but I know a disease called addiction doesn't help a single person. Rip to her. Thankfully we got blessed atleast with the music. It'll live on forever.
November 5th, 2023, and this is still the greatest
This was so effortless for her. Jesus, she was so good. She will be back again and she will be even better. God, what a talent.
I agree
rest in peace she would of been the greatest
really
Exactly, she's blowing my mind and sh'es not even trying. Such a huge loss for music.
It's just so damn good.

Bruno Mars did an outstanding cover!
Who still listens to Amy in 2020 🙋♀️ I just wonder what her talent wouldve been like if she were still alive! Her voice was pure soul personified!
I hate these comments about “who’s still listening in 2020” dude music is timeless. You never stop listening to what you love or enjoy. A lot of people are still listening to things they’ve always enjoyed. People listen to music that’s 100 years old on the daily. Again, it’s timeless. Well still be listening in 2045
Benny Presley nottthat serious buddy. Enjoy the music
Her unreleased album is AMAZING
death finds us all. so celebrate life
2080 I'm from the future
The amount of talent a single person can have is astonishing at times... Miss u babe, u rocked and u still do
Never can't get enough of this beautiful song and voice. ❤
Amy didn't know how good she was.
+PinkSmarties72 Sure she did.She was smart -- troubled, hurting, out of control... but very smart. She surely knew.
+PinkSmarties72 Yes she did, but the drugs and alcohol took over her life. I wish that she was still here creating beautiful music. Her voice was absolutely spellbinding.
feel so bad that I was cheated of her talents wish she could stay for a while longer
She would have most certainly performed a Tiny Desk Concert had she still been with us
Captain Nice that would have been beautiful
Oh what could have been😢😢😢
Oh Yes Lord! Millions of views😔
Captain Nice yes!!!!
I wish, but sadly she would probably have cancelled it due to some personal struggle, be it a drug binge or being too drunk :( i love her music so much, shes a gem of a talent, but she was incredibly unreliable and tended to cancel things :(
I've looked everywhere and this is by far the best version of Amy winehouse version of Valerie.I just can't stop.
Acoustics at their finest. Goodnight Amy.
she sings with her entire body. it's incredible to watch the music move through her. amy, girl, you were too good for this world.
Mmm that would be the smack, Jack 👀
She doesnt fail in any note. Love her to the bones
Accoustic guitar, and nothing more. You can't cheat here. When this sound comes out of your mouth (and heart and soul), you re someone special and you ve worked for it.
Every time I hear her ... it brings tears to my eyes .. I can’t explain it .....
Yes
I will say its pure truth. Its so rare your body/soul has missed it for so long that tears flow. I can't explain it well but whenever i hear something i fully believe as utter truth connected to a strong emotion like distress or fear or love pr joy... i cry.
Literally, wiping tears from my eyes right now. Wow her aura
Same here.......
Mine too
We'll never have a voice like that ever again.
Amen.
But why do we need copy of her? Everybody should be unique and there are many great unique musicians, just not so popular as she was
exactly...
The thing is: she passed away so young. We'll never have a voice like that ever again meaning we'll never get to hear new stuff, I'll never get to see her live, buy her album the day it came out, see her on TV, etc.
Yup. Big black voice in a skinny white girl. Beautifully incongruent.
Used to hate this song and it grew on me real bad now I sing it almost everyday to start my day!❤Thank you Amy for this gem!🙏
I got teased by this song because of my name…little did I know an amazing and talented artist and singer was on the end of that song! Every since that introduction to Amy Winehouse I am all in! Her skills are unmatched IMO!
This is my all time fave. Acoustic and raw.
I can't lie, I still wish someone could've saved you from your battles you was fighting. May you be at peace love. 🙏🙏🙏
Yes no one freaking cared not even her own father POS hungry for the $$$ only Iove & miss u Amy so sad I'm sorry I pray for u girl
Me too...my heart has such a soft spot for her...
😞😞😭😭
She is in a much better place now..
We are only sheep..
Fuck covid-19
NO ONE can save an adult. It’s a personal choice.
She's literally perfect. The voice full of pain, the way she looks, everything. Wow
Every time i listen to this i just cry for no reason.... She's just such a doll ❤
Ours and any generations best singer of all time!!! I would give anything to play and sing with her!!!
Just love how the guitar player accompanies her. He knows exactly what to do.
And what not to do. He is totally underplaying for all the right reasons. Well spotted!
This girl was a once in a generation GENIUS! Absolutely beautiful.
agreed
Once in a lifetime!!!
Are y’all kidding rn, this wasn’t effortless, she’s literally struggling with addiction. Showing all the signs but she powered through. Literally was a strong and amazing person to still deliver this performance.
Makes me cry.....she was so young and so alone.......... surrounded by people.....I will always love her ..... She's my Amy. 😢
She was the most amazing talent I've seen in 20 years. It breaks my heart when I hear her voice. Another talent that fame destroyed.
Such a shame.
My all-time fav version of this tune. Still gets me so emotional. Been clean and sober now for over two years. ❤️ U forever Amy.
Proud of your progress 🥺 Keep up the hard work and stay strong 💞
I hate alcohol. It is the most deceptive drug. It's just as dangerous as heroin.
Congratulations love
I too struggled with many addictions. I'm now clean and sober for almost 20 years. I do get moments of weakness I'll admit, but music such as this always sees me through.
Try these guys too. Great Australian blues band called The Tesky Brothers. White guts that sing like African American blues artists. Damn amazing to be honest. My favs are pain and misery and hold me. Enjoy
Congratulations 💕💕🎀
Anyone besides me still missing Amy in August 2023?
Yep
❤😂❤🎉
Never get old! Makes me want to take singing lessons.
+OurPeanutGallerie Beautifully put.
+OurPeanutGallerie Those are the dope shakes you're seeing. Girl wants to boot some black tar.
+OurPeanutGallerie I am so sad that we will miss the evolution of her talent as she aged.
