After recording the hit track in New York, the video for “Valerie” was shot in London in 2007. As Amy Winehouse couldn't make the video shoot, production came up with the concept of Mark Ronson inviting multiple Amy’s to perform on stage with Jazz musicians in an underground club.

Amy 😭💕 Thanks Mark. I love that the horns aren't completely in harmony in the intro which is exactly that old school sound she was so intent on recreating (so easy to fix with pitching programs). Sounds magical as though it was lifted from the late 50s/early 60s

So many people don't know but It's a COVER that came out one year earlier by an obscure group called the Zutons who wrote it. And, Ronson was the producer for the Zutons and their song Valerie.
