    Simply amazing video. I'm a complete amateur but try to save money doing my own UA-cam car repairs. Like many other commenters have said, you did an amazing job with camera work, explanation and zero unnecessary information. Simple and easy to follow. I'm excited to try and replace my fuel pump this week. Keep up the great work, brother! And us amateurs thank you!!

    I’ve seen a lot of car videos in the past, and it’s been a while since I’ve seen someone do such an amazing job with both the camera and the verbal walkthrough. Killing it out there man! Thanks for taking the time to make and share this video, you are appreciated. It will make a big difference in many people’s life for years to come.

      Thanks for the support I appreciate it. Just trying to save people money by showing them how to do it themselves with some basic hand tools. Unfortunately there’s not a whole lot of honest shops or mechanics out there anymore.

    All good for my 2007 Mazda 6, except the seats are bolts on the floor, and it flips up on hinges, in sections, even easier, and mine isn't a locking ring, it's a screw on one, that was a nightmare to get off, the hardest part of job.
    Great video.

    Did you get any codes for the fuel pump? I have the same car and the revs a going up to 1200 at red traffic lights. The spark plugs and coils are good. My pump is not doing that noise when turning the key to on position it used do it before, the only thing is that I’m not getting codes. It’s maybe on its last days.

    • @BLUECOLLARGARAGE
      @BLUECOLLARGARAGE  2 роки тому +1

      No codes it was having a hard time starting after it had been sitting for a few days. I would have to cycle the key a few times to build up pressure because the check valve was going bad located in the fuel pump which was making it lose pressure when parked.

    Is it mandatory to replace the relay for the fuel pump?

    • @BLUECOLLARGARAGE

      No you would only replace it if the relay was bad.

    Have a 2019 CX 3 recall on fuel pump propeller dealer put new pump in I left put some gas in and had to keep clicking the trigger to get gas out I guess back splash never had the problem before till this replacement car has 32,000 on it the dealer says it;s spiders so i have a full tank I will run it down and see if problem continues they told me to bring it back if it continues. Any thoughts on this situation.

    • @BLUECOLLARGARAGE
      @BLUECOLLARGARAGE  2 роки тому

      Sounds like they might have kinked the vent tube for the fill nozzle. When your filling up your tank there’s a vent tube that allows the vapors to escape if this tube is pinched or clogged those vapors create a vacuum forcing the nozzle to click off. If you can crawl under and just make sure there isn’t any hoses or lines kinked. Also try filling on the lowest setting and see if it still does it.

    Great video. I have a 2015 mazda 6. 184k miles. I want to do this as preventive maint as i feel the pump can go at any time. Everything i read says you must drain and clean the fuel tank first. You didnt in this video. Is it really necessary? Thanks in advance.

    Great video! Did the customer mention what the symptoms were that led you to the fuel pump? Curious since you started it fine in the beginning.

    • @BLUECOLLARGARAGE
      @BLUECOLLARGARAGE  2 роки тому +1

      Check valve in the fuel pump was bad. So the fuel would drain back into the tank if it sat overnight or longer and was hard to start in the mornings unless he cycled the key a few times to build pressure back up.
