The piano playing was fantastic. However, After the orchestral sounds the patches just don't seem to fit into any musical style that I can recognize, and I can't imagine what kind of musical context they could be used in. I just couldn't get any clear picture, maybe because the sounds are too over-processed or because Roland is trying to make too bold a statement with these tones

You can turn on "scene remain" in system menu. But you are then limited with only 8 zones per scene.

Hello, no it's much more.
V-Piano Technology tones: All keys produce sound (can be selected only for ZONE 1)
ZEN-Core tones / Drum Kit tones (common): 256 notes
* Varies depending on the load of the sounds being used
If you combine V-Piano Technology tones with ZEN-Core tones / Drum Kit tones (as a layer), the maximum polyphony is not summed, but is counted separately.
For ZEN-Core tones including PCM/VA and Drum Kit tones, the polyphony of all zones (maximum 16 parts) is counted.
If the OSC TYPE is PCM, wave can be individually assigned to L and R of the partial, meaning that one partial counts as two notes.

What should I buy between fantom 6 or 06 😢
You only have to decide if a few hardware elements and Vpiano/nZyme are worth the extra cost for you. Vpiano can offset a lot of this boards polyphony issues. However a piano engine is more relevant to those buying a larger board. I personally think nZyme struggles too much (even on main fantom) with the number of voices. So 06 is quite adequate and will save you a lot of money. Personally I'll keep the Roland FA. But if you have none, the choice is likely clear at the x6 size. That or buy a modx+ its a lot of value.
Fantom 0 is half the price. It has less DSP processing and does not have the Virtual Piano Engine or N/Zyme synth expansion. It has slightly less knobs for realtime control…but …For the price the Fantom 0 can do more than half of what the flagship can do.
It's worth mentioning that 06 is also lightweight. So it's great for carrying to rehearsal or gigs...
@@ErraticFaithi vote for the MODX+ such a programmability. Although i have both and Roland blows Yamaha regarding sound depth and quality. I stick to Yamaha though.
