Note (1): This edit was requested by Sporky.
Note (2): This was edited using the Twitch VOD.
The whole concept of this game is so bizarre and funny to me. It has a 50's aesthetic even though it takes place right after the end of the war, the one main font is (almost?) unreadable because they wanted to be "vintage", half of the characters look like WikiHow drawings are not historically accurate in any way, and while Switzerland did experience growth in the 50's after the war, there's no way they had it right off the bat when war ended lol. They actually had to end up paying around 250 million Swiss francs as a result of their suspicious neutrality during the war. The whole communication between all parties in hilarious too. Like they just know?? Sorry but couldn't stop thinking about these things while watching Mr. Greenz 2.0
Thank you for this history lesson on the absurdity of this game.
Genuinely. It adds another layer to the experience for me.
If the time passed out quicker then it could have made some more sense, but that entire stream was from 1945 to 1947, and unless they use the "just after the war" plot point for the lost husband or whoever dissapeared, it will be all for nothing lol
if this normal ass font is unreadable you should probably make an eye doctor appointment
You wouldn't guess it from a game about chocolate but it really is a "Constant Conflict" game. It opens up talking the generations of family squabbles, competition, that the company has withstood, then we get the line "For most people WWII is over. But not for me" 💀
@@BurstVesselsI was reading that dialogue about the missing husband and shit and all I could think was "Isn't this game supposed to be about chocolate?"
Don't ask a woman her age, a man his salary, or Silly Zonka Wonka what he did in Poland between 1939 and 1944.

I don’t know why they included a casino in this chocolate making game but thank god they did
It’s like it was a game *designed* for Mr. Green.
And the guy that cuts a deal to get you in the casino looks just like Jerma. Coincidence? I think not.

Having apartheid South Africa as a location in your chocolate game is wild lmao
they're making jerma do crimes against humanity for the silly chocolate game 😭 i don't know if it's funny or sad or a profound statement about the reality of the last several centuries of european history and culture being tied to all sorts of depraved stuff

Children, I hope you’re all taking notes.
Jermology class in 2100
"It's not about the money. It's about sending a message. Everything burns."
This is like something you'd hear in business class and the teacher would completely gloss over the fact that they were the heir of the CEO of a successful chocolate business who gave them hundreds of sacks of ingredients, a list of contacts who are professionals in the industry that are happy to work for free, and all the facilities and equipment set up ready to make crates of chocolate from the get-go
The teacher, I mean.

In these kind of games, it's good to name your character "You bastard" for the NPC interactions.
kinda like how grayfruit named his peggle save file "dickhead"

i like that jerma had to think of an american song when he saw july 4th and the first thing he thought of was the american dad theme
I'm canadian so when he started doing that bit I initially thought that he was just absolutely butchering the star spangled banner because I don't know it well enough to be confident and it felt like the kind of thing jerma would manage to fuck up
@@hauntedsunsets LMAO
The Stars and Stripes Forever is an American patriotic marching song composed in 1896. It was not, in fact, written for American Dad. They just used the first part of it for the theme because it's an upbeat march that has a connection to American patriotism and is in the public domain.
@@AlleeCatBlues i know the american dad theme when i hear it.
@@AlleeCatBlues also id argue it is the american dad theme. the march is usually played at a slower tempo than what the theme song is played at, and jerma played it at the faster tempo
Absurdly op gambling, weirdly complex plot that doesnt match the game at all, the actual main gameplay being an absurd contraption that would be better suited for a modern mobile game, this really is the perfect Jerma game
This is just how jerma imagines the world works
I love dogshit games
It was so weird how they used brown water instead of some corn starch fluid for the Wonka Chocolate
I just imagine it as YooHoo
It was fine when I watched it as a kid, now it just looks like poop water.
If it’s good enough for Austin Powers it’s good enough for you
@@konjackonjac5201poop wine
I wonder how much corn starch would have been used to make to turn melted chocolate and milk into a ganache?
Sounds dangerous thinking about it. Augustus Gloop would have really had to eat his way out then.
13:22 kills me because i think he just really wanted to do his little beatbox version of the stars and stripes forever
i love the simple pleasures in life, like watching jerma immediately go full-on mr. green the moment a game even remotely involves money

My mom played all the chocolatier games all the time when I was a kid, I recently got her the games again since she lost them when her old pc died. This was a total nostalgia trip.
Is the Victorian era one just as wild? Do they all have bonkers plots that have little to do with chocolate, actually? Do any of them have different mechanics? I have such pressing questions.
What did she name her chocolates?
cute
THERE'S MORE?!? I'm intrigued what lore led up to this point
@@KA-vs7nl she probably named one after OP and it was like milk honey chocolate and it sold poorly because she forgot sugar but she didn't care and kept making it anyway
This kind of edit is exactly what Ive been dreaming someone would do, because so many edits cut out like 95% of the stream, but then the actual proper streams are way too long. This is the best of both worlds for sure :)
this is one of the first jerma steams i ever watched, and i went insane when he bought the limes at the end, it was like a movie
He goes from having an insane excess of ingredients to then not using any of the ones he had hundreds excess of. Classic.
His inability to process basic and very clear information is so fucking funny
The cuban clock cleaner sounds like a tf2 weapon
It would be a revolver for spy

This stream was so underrated, glad to see an edit
The return of Mr GREEN was great to see
Mr Green is my favorite Jerma character. It's just the right amount of unhinged, and involves Jerma's gambling interest which I always like watching even though gambling does nothing for me personally.

YES. I'VE BEEN WANTING THIS FOR SO LONG! THE ORIGIN STORY FOR MR GREEN!
(Ackshully the origin story is Vegas Stakes, if you haven't seen that one)
@@PointsofData I'm very aware that the character of Mr Green originated from Vegas Stakes.
