Thought this might be relevant and on-topic... If you don't want to mod your Vita, one game that has an official English patch is the Asian-territory release of the crafting RPG "Airship Q". The game on the cart is Japanese only, but once you pop it in to your Vita and connect to the internet, it'll download an update that patches in English subtitles for the whole game.
So here's an update on my vita's state my most recent games are phantom breaker/tearaway/ray gigant. the first and last games wouldn't have been picked if it wasn't for your hidden gem games video i finished phantom breaker with the 4 starting characters and on ray gigant i just reached nil's story path i gotta say thank you for letting me know that these games existed i'm having the time of my life with them (also i'm the type of person who follow the rules so messing around with anything on a system wasn't a thing that i would do so these games are probably out of my reach TwT)

I've been playing The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky FC Evolution (need to finish it) with the english patch, and I plan to also play SC and 3rd with the available patches (I also have Ao and Zero, but it doesn't look like there are any patches right now available, and I don't think they will make it translated on the PS4 or PC to the west). I already have the uncensoring and nude patch for Gun Gun Pixies installed, but I might also add the english translation, which is ported from either the PC or the Switch version. If I can get my hands on a copy of Nelke, I might play it with the english patch too. As a side-note: Something I've been noticing recently is the shitload of ads UA-cam is putting in monetized videos, even yours. I had 2 pre-video ads, 8 mid-rolls, and one at the end... in a 10 minute video. You're not the only one, but this is just too much. I complained and discussed this with another UA-camr already, and they find it too too much, and try to set the ads to a lower amount.
Digimon World Next Order has an english fan patch for the Vita, since we never got the game on the west. The funny thing is that the chinese release of the game did have english... so why in the world did this never come to USA/Europe? Chaos Rings 3 for the PS Vita has a fan english patch too. By the way, the entire trilogy has english on Android (available on Google Play), yet we never got the Vita version on this side of the planet. Whatever...

not a vita game but Nayuta Endless Trails is amazing, and it has an english patch AND Its a PSP exclusive game with no offical english version anywhere. everyone saying Trails in the Sky, and i have to agree, littearlly best game ever. though i allready completed it on the PSP offical translation (which is also available on vita anyway) that said i really didnt like trails the third.
I've been playing Digimon Adventure PSP with the English fan translation. Pretty good game Also "Dark Clouding" that's a nice way to reference Dark Cloud, lol
great video! there is an english patch for IA/VT Colorful, that game is exclusive to japan and hasn't got any port as far as i know... but you really don't need the patch to play the game, since is a rhythm game, but it will help you navigate the menus which are not that complex, but some might find it underwhelming.

Man, I seriously don't understand why these games never got an official english release on the Vita. I know it's not the best selling system of all time, but: -An official english translation for each one of these games already exist for their PS4 releases. -All the legal requirements to localize these games on the west have been met. -These companies have access to tools that would allow them to literally copy text from one version of the game to the other. -They don't even have to offer a physical release and lose money if they can't sell enough copies.
I don't think they want to take chances on projects that may or may not sell. If beloved company like Atlus (Persona series) can go bankrupt, these smaller companies can and will if their games don't sell.

I wish Tales of Innocence R would get a translation. I once mistakenly speculated that it use be easy since it was localized on PS3, but nah, only the original NDS version.
Most of these games weren't translated, specifically the ones with english ps4 release. The team probably extracted the English data from the ps4 game then import it to the Vita version. Not complaining though, I just wish they actually translate a game that never had an English release.
That's basically it, that's why I call most of my release as 'English ports'. Though was involved on 2 projects that were full-on fan translation. it was UPPERS and Omega labyrinth. Upper may still need some extra editing as it was not translated by native English speakers including me. But in Omega labyrinth, an actual anime fansubber was doing the script while I help hack the game.

I LOVED Blue Reflection!! Played the PS4 version. I have the Vita version with the translation patch. But the game crashes every time on the first "boss" dungeon.

I put 40hr+ into catherine on Vita, was still excited to get it on Switch though. The Japanese voice acting is great but I love the English too :)
I believe there is a hack to add the dub to it as well for Vita.
trails in the sky FC is what i'm playing now, im only 8 hours in but it feels like an official release.
That's because that English patch is taken right off of the official Xseed script of the pc port of the original FC.

Most of these games weren't translated, specifically the ones with english ps4 release. The team probably extracted the English data from the ps4 game then import it to the Vita version. Not complaining though, I just wish they actually translate a game that never had an English release.

That's basically it, that's why I call most of my release as 'English ports'.
Though was involved on 2 projects that were full-on fan translation. it was UPPERS and Omega labyrinth.
Upper may still need some extra editing as it was not translated by native English speakers including me. But in Omega labyrinth, an actual anime fansubber was doing the script while I help hack the game.

@@johnd7760 it's worthed. Tbh i don't trust game reviews about jRPGs anymore. Seems like of you ain't a big budget AAA title you get the cold shoulder. So i recommend you play the game or find some trustworthy youtubers when it comes to rating RPGs

Sorry about that. You have to have repatch installed, try googling repatch PS Vita Reddit and you should be able to find all the info you need.

I wonder if in order to have the patch you need both the Japanese version and the patched version on the Vita... I don't know if there is a patch ready version. Man I was more proficient with the regular psp

I was wondering if the Japanese punchline if i can change the txt to English? Without a patch. I noticed the English punchline has a section were there txt. I have blue reflection lol on the switch
To my knowledge know you're only able to play that version in japanese.
@@PSVitaat2am oh ok i was watching the English ps vita punchline and the player was showing the setting and it had the English alphabet so i assumed the Japanese we can change the txt in the setting but i wasnt able to find any videos on the Japanese punchline game were it shows the settings. Ok thank u this game is better on the vita then the ps4 i wonder if it will be on the switch someday...

Yes your Vita must be modded, and the process is done through repatch.
I LOVED Blue Reflection!! Played the PS4 version. I have the Vita version with the translation patch. But the game crashes every time on the first "boss" dungeon.
I believe they have a new updated version to fix that.
