Thanks David! I finally got around to watching your Prius prime video today 🙂
@@KirkKreifels make sure enjoyed massaging driver seat and update the navigation there was a new update that improves the audio quality sound system over-the-air updates
@@KirkKreifels Thanks for watching Kirk!
They just redesigned it that’s crazy
Nissan has mastered the art of redressing old platforms and components and reintroducing them as new. Look at the new Z and this pathfinder. I don't mind that at all I just wish the price would actually reflect that.
Most of the other car manufacturers are doing the same thing with ice motor lineups. Like the Z you mentioned, which competes with the Supra. Toyota did not make anything new with the Supra. They put their own little spin on a BMW and called it a day.
I really hope Nissan finds it's ground, I know it's been a struggle after kicking out Carlos Ghosn because Carlos Ghosn was all about cheap and low cost, which showed in reliability. And Carlos Ghosn had this model for nearly 20 years. So it will be a slow and tough process to start going back to what Nissan was before Carlos Ghosn.
Man !!
Nissans look too good 😍😍😍
They always do
Those wheels already exist (albeit in a smaller size) on the Leaf, and that dual screen setup is directly out of the Ariya, so those two design cues are likely to be exactly the same at production
Good catch... Damn
Grand Highlander all the way.
Kirk, you did pose a point that's needed to be said: COULD THIS BE THE END OF INFINITI AS A BRAND?
Higher levels of this Pathfinder redesign could go upscale and replace the QX60. And if the QX60 full-sized crossover is discontinued you can say ADIÓS to the brand.
Just think about it... 🤔
I prefer the current profile over this one, which seems more confused than anything.
The looks of the current model aren't an issue, so a heavy refresh is questionable.
The interior is a major step forward.
I’ll miss the Nissan “v” shaped chrome grilles.
Conversely, I have an Xterra and I have always hated the V shaped grilles. I love the new Frontier front end.
@@ernestdesimone2234 The Frontier looks nice.
Make the Xterra Nissan! Do it!
Yup, bring back the Xterra, it was dumb of them to try to pass this Pathfinder off as a sporty offroad truck.
I actually really like the look. It's definitely more premium. I'm just not sure if the same language will be implemented for the NA market. I say this because the China market Altima has a similarly look upfront and is more premium than in NA. Regardless, a refresh after 3 years is not so farfetched. The Palisade has undergone 2 facelifts in a matter of 4 years.
Greetings from southern Ontario Canada I really enjoyed the video looking forward to seeing this crossover here hopefully a phev option or a hybrid because the six cylinder engines are disappearing
I don't think it's a refresh, I think it's an all-new model specifically for the Chinese Market, either that or a very heavy refresh. Because, if you look at the side profile the US spec has a different silhouette and a more flat roofline, whereas the Chinese-spec model has a more sleeker, sloping roofline similar to the Infiniti QX60.
I seriously doubt that this version of the Pathfinder will be available in the USA
Love the look
Does this mean trying to bring it back as an outdoorsy off-roader was silly? It may do better as an upscale road cruiser? Does make you wonder what that means for QX60, it must be getting a hell of an update too.
Love the Max Out EV sports car concept! I would love to see more two-door sports EVs from any manufacturer, but this concept looks really fun and I'd love to see it make to Nissan's lineup. I think it could be a really cool opportunity for them to start a new sports car nameplate to go with the Z and GT-R.
They should go back to the body on frame Pathfinders.
Nice refresh.
The Max-out and Arizon look like just design renderings at this point. Seeing how the Pathfinder was refreshed not that long ago, I doubt that the new one will arrive before 2026.
I have been wanting to see suvs with some good rear visibility.
Across all manufacturers and the current and future automotive designs I see repair and insurance costs rising significantly. I'm looking at it from a body fender repair point of view. A simple fender bender may costs thousands due to sophistication of front end grills and more and more LED's incorporated into the front end architecture. Not to mention repair time. Supplier chain replacement parts and the complication of installation will add time and cost to repairs. If your headlight module needs to be replaced it may take weeks or longer before your car is safely drivable.
Very cool 😊
Another tuscon ?
I wish Nissan would’ve put a turbo in the Sentra SR with a 6spd Manual before they go EV! That little car is so attractive and handles really well!
Anyone know when the Murano gets a refresh like the Rogue or Pathfinder? Looks so ugly as of now!
Very nice.
I don’t think this is the design language Nissan should go for. Pathfinder is supposed to be slightly rugged. They need to take ques from the Honda Pilot front end. Make it boxy and bold.
I don’t think it will be this drastic. Question is buy a 24 or wait for a 25? I like the current look.😂
Very Nice. Nissan Needs some Excitement ASAP!! They hav a 3.0tt that they should stick in Everything. Go all out performance on sport models. For years Nismo was supposed to be a model on All lines. But didn't happen, so let's make it happen Nissan....🤩🙂
I saw a video of the Nissan X-Trail with ePower have a third row. They cut the car in half the way to show the engine, battery packs, and motors. Too bad it wasn’t in English.
Kirk, you should have time stamps in your videos. It would really help.
And Nissan is on the reliability list on Consumer Reports , what # ?
Didn’t we just get a NEW pathfinder?
Yup - 2022 model year
this ones is good.
How about the murano? It's killed already?
Anything is better than the current PF. I think the QX60 looks pretty good, which this refresh is based on
I'm not seeing whats jaw dropping. Its not hideous but its far from good looking. Still very crossovery and not nearly as more rugged/boxy as it should be. Not to mention another refresh? This thing was begging to just have a clean sheet redesign 5 years ago.
Didn’t the current Pathfinder just come out? They are already looking to the next model
Nissan needs to remake/redesign the Marano
Looks like a Tucson and Atlas mix
Not really
I totally see Huyndai Tucson headlights
I am sorry it’s ok not blown away
The 2023 is fine, I wouldn't mess with it. The refresh looks like too much of a luxury SUV.
Nissan just can’t seem to pick up the sales. ARIYAs are plentiful across the US and you can get deals on most other models.
Well the reason why is because the Ariya's are so overpriced, you are paying nearly 50k for an EV that can't keep up with the Mustang Mach E and they are nearly identical in price. Mach E has more range, more power, and so much more fun to drive at the same price range.
Not only that I'm not a huge Tesla fan, but you can get a Model Y for about 50k and for those who love Tesla would but a Model Y instead of an Ariya. One of the biggest issues with Nissan is their pricing. They are trying to charge more for their cars their competitors or the same, with worst features like power, miles to charge/empty. If Nissan wants to be competitive they need to lower their pricing 10 fold.
Nissan sales improved substantially Q1-2023
But we just got a new Pathfinder and it's nice
Front end more look like Elgrand 2006
That Pathfinder is sexy
It's a good design but it's too un rugged looking. Compared to the current one.
They made the mistake of becoming less rugged looking over the generations to become a mum suv.
They realised they needed to go back to the Pathfinders roots with a more boxy look thankfully.
This styling exercise is now again looking too mumsy as nice as it is just doesn't justify a Pathfinders look. The current one fits that brief much better.
This should be the Murano.
Nisan should focus on quality control every product they gave instead off new face or designs . They have a lot Collision sensor issues, pretty much on every car they make . I work at a dealership and see 5 tow trucks a day bringing them because of electrical iusues 😂. Nissan will go bank rupt if they don’t fix their issues
Nissan , Hyundai, Kia will be an attractive ev company but their gas cars aren't quality
Exactly reliability is questionable
They are more reliable than BMW for sure
Not feeling either of them. Pathfinder side view is blah and looks close to other SUVs.
The Nissan armada totally needs a new refreshed design, it’s too outdated and doesn’t justify the current pricing of the car…
I disagree. The ride and V8 in that is *chef's kiss*. Old school has a price too.
@@KirkKreifels Sure but if Nissan continues with this design I bet it would suffer the demise like the Land Cruiser, think about the sales and profit from a company perspective. Oh and don’t get me started with the whole Infiniti lineup with the exception of the QX60 lol
@@BigAltimaEnergy719 This is so not true. People aren't buying Nissan of the their design, especially the Aramda or the QX80. People aren't buying these cars, because if you have been looking at the statics of people buying cars and the taste of Gen Y and Gen Z's, then you will know that they aren't interested in huge gas V8 that only get like 18 MPG's on the highway. Instead the kids coming up are more interested in something that gets good gas mileage. Hence why hybrids are the #1 selling cars right now in the US. Nissan or any car company can make a very good looking V8 but it will have very little sales because it would be people like myself (early millennials like myself (born in 1985)) and earlier would be the one interested in them.
It will next year but QX80 will be redesigned first because there are already spy shots
@@BigAltimaEnergy719 Fun fact: there are spy photos of the 2025 infinti qx80 and it looks somewhat similar to the qx60 and from what it said its replacing the v8 with a tt v6.
Current looks better
I have to disagree with how it looks. It's half decent, but not anywhere near the praise given here and those wheels are way too busy and basic looking.
This is a China specific model. It WILL NOT be coming to the US and won't represent the facelift of the current Pathfinder. The interior looks like a concept iteration of the US Pathfinder. As noted, this Chinese Pathfinder seems to be more closely related to the QX60 as it has its lower roofline and looks to have the same front fenders and hood.
Yeah,not so much.
At the end, it is still Nissan
Kirk, take a break! You must be working your but off!
Kinda looks ugly tbh… especially from the front
Just like a Tucson
While the interior looks like a carbon copy of Hyundai/Kia, I do give them credit for giving it a decent sized infotainment system unlike Honda with its tiny ass screen (for a flagship SUV).
Everything is a copy of everything nowadays
I see Hyundai Tucson headlights design here
No quality, no buy!
Tired of these large vehicles, hard to park, driven by 1 person most of the time and not full of kids or 5 adults.
Sorry Don't see What you see in refresh design PF 🤮🤮
Nissan is copying Hyundai’s front end.
