- Canola Harvest Video from the Hettinger North Dakota Area. In this video a local farm is harvesting their 2021 canola crop with their John Deere S690 and 9779 STS combines both with Deere 640D draper heads. Running alongside the combines is the farms Versatile 375 tractor pulling an Unverferth 2020 tandem axle grain cart.

The US seems really blessed to have bountiful harvests.
I like the wide range of crops you have on your UA-cam channel. Really interesting to see how the other parts of the states harvest as well.
First time I've seen Canola harvested this way. If grain loss is controlled, this is a much faster method than swathing. One pass in the field and done. Looking forward to the Sunflower harvest.
That will be interesting to see the sunflower harvest. I haven't did that since 1982. Cut the stalks at about 3 feet high since all you're after are the heads. Sunflower stalks really dry out the soil the following spring...usually the first fields to get prepared for seeding/planting.
It's interesting to see canola harvest👍😉 that versatile is a nice looking tractor😁👍
Great video👍👍
Thanks for the great aerial videos. You are definitely "outstanding in your field" :-)
Very enjoyable video Mike. Your drone footage is amazing 👏.
Did you really say "The most 'versatile' video content..."? LOL!! You know I have to say it...That was one good looking tractor and grain cart! Looking more at the tractor, but you know what I mean! Awesome video!
Hi Mike , great video of the John Deere combine , tractor and grain cart
Another great video Mike .
Super le matériel ❤
Great awesome video mike. Black gold canola ,
Great machines there!
Great video Mike - love that Versatile!
Great video in content Mike thank you
Great vídeo Mike.
I see your like 3 hours South of the Black Hills of South Dakota and Mount Rushmore. I had to check were Hittinger was. Thanks for the video.
Atleast they got 2 of my favorite model from John Deere the 977S0 sts I really like but I do like the S680 and S690 as well as the 9600 to
Man, you cover the country!!!! Hettinger is not that far from where I live......about 115 miles south in Camp Crook, SD.
The New Intro is a bit long but good
Thank you mike for your content its always interesting
Thanks yes its a little longer than I wanted and I could have made it longer yet. I had to really clip to get it this short.
Some long and cold fields!
😁👍👏
I've always wondered why they don't have tandem grain wagons. It seems like those high horsepower tractors would be able to pull a set-up like that even if it weighed 200k
I don't know anything about canola other than the cooking oil so I'm kinda guessing it looks like it grows on a pod like peas? Yea or Nay?
what are yields per acre
How many rounds can they go before the hopper is full?
great video. would have liked to known bushel per acre compared to other small grains
Considering how dry the country was this summer that looked like a good crop. I had a neighbor harvest 50 bushels per acre last week
I like Mike less videos on UA-cam, from the imperial co California.
What is average bushels per acre for Canola and price per bushels yoy can get for it?
I really don't know but hopefully someone else will chime in.
I’ve seen a lot of these STS running around, is this a good model?
One of the best made
@@reginaldmeintjes504 thank you, I had a feeling
Great video 💪🏻👌🏻
what's the name of the song at 9 min.? Love that song!
Greetings from a Dutch farmer.
Thanks, Its royalty free music from UA-cam. "End of Summer" and "Horses and Trains" is what I used in this video.
You get to drive the 375...??
✌️🇧🇷✌️
Where in North America is good for growing canola? What kind of soil is best and how long does it take from planting to harvest? What crops are rotated with canola?
I think it can be grown about anywhere. I have seen it in lots of states from Texas to North Dakota but I believe its more popular in North Dakota and Montana and Western Canada than in the southern states.
Travis..looked like last years corn stalks under the canola..thanks Mike !
The 'can' in canola is for Canada. So I am assuming it's all over the prairie provinces. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canola_oil
So canola comes out black why aren’t the fields black ?
New intro.
What song do you use in your vids? Starts at the 6:11 mark.
Never mind....just saw it.
At $20.00 a bushel there making good money this year
You need some new music, Mikey. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
