- Today we are repairing the blade elevation lock on a SawStop table saw. Parts do wear out and it's a matter of replacing a keyway. It does not take much to fix this nagging problem.
Fantastic! Thanks so much for sharing. Just started sharing a professional shop and did some quick maintenance on the 8 yr old ICS. I'm 99% sure I'm running into this issue. Will definitely pursue. Thanks!!
Very common on this saw. I maintain school shops and have replaced all of them. Thanks. Stevo
Thanks for posting this!!
Just had the same thing happen on our saw and this video saved me an hour of trying to figure it out!!
Thanks for the comment. It is a common problem but an easy fix. SawStop makes a great saw. Glad I could point you in the right direction. Stevo
Thank you for posting this. you wouldn't happen to know what size the woodruff key is, would you?
I do not have the size off hand but you can get them directly from SawStop. I have found them great to work with and that is where I get my parts from. Thanks for tuning in. Stevo
It is interesting how that works ...That is a Nice Big table saw I am sure it can handle a full sheet of plwood
They are a great saw to work with
I know the kids won't know. LOL . Thanks Stevo That is what i call you now.
Most kids don't know but I am trying.
No, no I would not drop one washer. I would drop the washers, gear, key and anything else loose. I don't think I like that set up but I do not know how others are set up. But for kids they will do whatever is faster for them. Great fix and thanks for the video.
The whole washer thing, I speak from experience.
I've never seen that setup before but I can see how it would work.
Like anything else, it works well if it is used properly.
Kako si Stevo ?
